SewerPros came to the house during our inspection period while in escrow while in the process of purchasing a new home. They did a sewer scope and provided their report stating the pipes were in good condition although they are old and had a lot of build up, and recommended a hydro jetting. Based on Sewer Pros report we felt comfortable that the pipes were in good condition and that positively impacted our decision to buy the house. A few weeks later right before moving in, we noticed the toilets slow draining and water coming up instead of down, then I decided to hired a plumber to come over to look at this issue. This company said there was a clog ran another camera inspection in the sewer to only find out the pipes were in terrible and deteriorating condition in multiple areas. After comparing both videos, this plumber realized Sewer Pros missed out on scoping multiple areas during their inspection. When I reached out to Sewer Pros and explained what was going on, they asked to come back and re-inspect. This time their manager was the one who came. Josh did his inspection this time using the clean outs in the front yard and decided their first assessment was accurate. Sewer Pros took ZERO accountability for a major miss on their part. Two weeks later after Josh performed the re-inspection, we came to find some water puddling up in the front yard by the clean outs. Thinking it was an irrigation issue, my husband went to check it out to only find out the clean out caps were un-screwed. When Josh came to re-inspect he left the clean outs OPEN!!! This caused sewage water to puddle up on my front lawn as well as mulch and dirt to go into the drains. This caused another clog in the pipes and during the labor day weekend we had to call an emergency plumbing service to come over. When reaching out to Sewer Pros Friday before labor day, no one would answer the phone later on Friday or Saturday morning and all we got was a unprofessional answer from Josh via email. The emergency plumber also mentioned the pipe that run to the street was collapsed. After so many validations regarding issues with the pipes we decided to have a few other companies come by to evaluate these pipes issues and how much would cost to fix it. By the way, all the companies that have come here and done an inspection recommended AGAINST hydro jetting due to the state of the pipes, this was exactly what Sewer Pros recommended, which the high pressure would have likely bursted the pipes. The issues I've had to fix due to Sewer Pros negligence and incompetence are now in the $30K. We never got one message or call apologizing or being empathetic for their mistakes, quite the contrary. Their business model is very well thought, "we ONLY do inspections (and hydro jetting) hence we are unbiased and don't try to push any work on our clients", the truth is, their are just checking the boxes. When you hire them for the only thing they do, sewer scope, they rush the cam down the pipes, provide you the video and that's it. They actually don't even have a plumbing license so that's why they can't do any work themselves! I recommend you have your pipes inspected by California Plumbing, Drain Mob, Almco plumbing or Core Plumbing instead who are professional and ethical businesses. Stay away from Sewer Pros at all costs! read more

I hired The Sewer Pros to do a pre-purchase inspection on an older home. Nate called before he arrived, just as promised, and then arrived at the property right on-time. He Nate was very efficient and professional. He did the inspection, gave me a no-nonsense summary of his observations, and then sent a detailed report with links to the video. The sewer pros are awesome. They do not do plumbing work themselves , so you will be getting an honest opinion of what is required to resolve your issue. Some companies that clear pipes have a vested interest in selling you thousands of dollars of work to dig up your yard and replace a joint between pipes or add an access point for cleaning. read more

We scheduled Sewer Pros for an in camera sewer inspection. It was super fast and easy to schedule online and the time I wanted (which was basically the next day) was available! When they got out to our new home, they actually couldn't access the sewer line for the inspection. They ended up refunding us the full amount we paid for the inspection without us even asking, which I couldn't believe! That's some great customer service! read more

Very disappointed in this company. I am a real estate agent and used them recently. There was one drain that the technician could not find the clean out for and he had to leave to get to the next appointment. Five minutes later the seller walks in and points out where the line is and they would not come back out without charging $170 trip charge to look at that last line. I told them that I would pay for it for my client because I didn't believe my client should have to pay for it. I close over 30 buy sides a year and can send this company lots of business and they chose to be small minded and take money from the person that recommended them in the first place. What's most frustrating it was really because their guy had to leave early from the original inspection. Had he waited 5 minutes more, wouldn't have been an issue. read more

We had a cast iron sewer main line break somewhere under our slab. The plumbing company that initially inspected the lines supposedly did a sewer camera inspection but when asked for a copy of it they couldn't provide it to us. So we booked Sewer Pros ASAP as we needed answers fast to find out what and where the problem was. Josh our inspector was great! He was professional, very knowledgeable and most of all great at communicating. We received a full report with photos as well as a detailed video narration. I had scheduled this camera inspection appoitment to get the entire sewer line of a house that I am planning to purchase inspected. The technician came out and didn't find any main sewer clean-out! Than the technician decided to go trough a small clean out for kitchen. He got stock at 43 feet and than He said I have to get kitchen line cleaned for $150 and a do re-inspection $149 to be able to inspect the sewer line and maybe locate the sewer clean-out that might be in the front yard. He didn't inform me at the time of his visit that there are other options to inspect the sewer line trough a open stack vent in the attic or pulling a toilet! I am very disappointed with their service. They charged me $199 and were not able to provide inspection report of the entire sewer line including the kitchen line and going trough the open attic to see the main sewer line at the first appointment! I also didn't get an estimate for installing a main sewer line clean out at the first appointment read more

I am a Realtor and I am representing my client to buy a home in Vista. The house was built in 1980 and as part of the buyer's due diligence, in addition to a Physical Inspection, I recommend a sewer drain inspection as well. Over the years, sewer lines can deteriorate or roots can penetrate which can be an expensive repair. John of The Sewer Pros called me 30 minutes prior to arrival which gave me time to drive to the property. The property owner was home, so John had started the inspection. The seller showed John where the main cleanout should have been located, but unfortunately, the main cleanout was buried, which commonly happens over the years of landscaping. John shared that he could inspect from the small cleanout from the kitchen, but it would only show approximately 60 feet and would not provide a sufficiently accurate report. We decided to not have the inspection and my client would not be charged. John was very polite and knowledgeable. I would definitely hire them in the future. read more

Customer service seems to be a lost art these days. I had a REALLY bad experience with Drain Patrol last week, so I was not eager to deal with any other plumbing companies. Much to my surprise, I had a great experience dealing with the employees at The Sewer Pros. I first spoke to Jasmine, who was very helpful and pleasant to talk to. Then Rick came out to my place and was equally pleasant and helpful. Before even locating the problem, he guaranteed me he wouldn't be there for 6 hours. The guy last week was at my place for 6 hours and "wasn't able to clear the blockage." I had to take the entire day off of work and the problem wasn't resolved. I was not happy. Rick immediately located the culprit, roots in the drain pipe, and had it cleared in 5 minutes. He then proceeded to explain everything to me and let me observe as he inspected the pipes to ensure everything was clear.
