This place is a little gem. Sitting on the patio, overlooking the pool and beach is so lovely and I love the plants everywhere. The service is amazing. Lee is an incredible chef, the food is great. My family was also super impressed and we kept talking about how great our last meal was way after we ate it. I have seen this restaurant change and grow over 29 years and I am so grateful for it as it is now. There is so much love put in to the place and you can really feel it. The space is perfect for gatherings, the meals are delicious and reasonably priced, and the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Okay, before I start I want to say that the people were nice! But first of all, this address takes you to a post office and leaves you VERY confused. It's right behind it. Second, we walk in and they don't even have tables ready. They're covered in like paint and bunch of random stuff. It looked like maybe they had some painting event and just didn't clean up? So they just kinda shoved stuff to the side and other tables and half ass wiped with a wet rag (still paint on the table) THIRD, they straight up tell us they don't have a menu right now. They tell us the things they can make and then say something like "if you want something just tell us and we can see if we can whip it up" The food was fine! Smoothies were fine! (Not worth the price) The last part is that they couldn't give us an itemized receipt. They wrote the total on a paper bag LOL we all wanted to know how much our items were so she shouted out sandwiches $19 and smoothies $10. I got vegan pizza, Organic Chicken Veggie Soup and slice of coconut cake and all was so good. The owner is so sweet and kind. She had other previous restaurants and i think she brought all her hospitality and expertise with her. I'm lucky it was a cold and windy rainy day, otherwise I probably couldn't get a seat. Mimi recently provided desserts for my birthday from her exceptional cafe and I can't say enough about their coconut cake--it was surprisingly AMAZING even though I'm not a coconut fan! The cake was moist, flavorful, and the coconut was subtle, which I truly appreciated. The red velvet cupcakes were also OUTSTANDING, with a perfect blend of flavors and just the right amount of sweetness. Both of these desserts were a huge hit which made my birthday soirée extra special! I highly recommend giving them a try, even if you're not a coconut lover! I normally enter from the beach pathway that cuts alongside the Shores Towers, and I make a right on the sidewalk at Neilson Way, walking South. You're looking for a Post Office smack dab in the middle of the two Shores Towers. Once you find it, turn right and walk straight ahead and climb the half flight of stairs just beyond the entrance to the Post Office (you'll pass that entrance on your left). The restaurant sits up there, behind the gates used to enter the Shores Towers 'campus.' This gives your whole experience eating there the atmosphere of being at a private, hidden gem of a spot. More on this: While there are always quite a few visitors whenever I've been there, the restaurant is so spacious that it can feel like you've got the place to yourself. I love that aspect of it. The restaurant's outdoor seating is an absolute draw, especially these days. The space is beautiful, bright, and airy, with lovely succulents and blooming orchids throughout. It is spotlessly clean. My go-to table is at the back right corner booth just as you walk out onto the balcony, with a great view of the Shores Towers pool and grounds; there's a particularly welcome cross-breeze. Shores Kitchen is the perfect spot for a late afternoon meeting or a long meal with friends, and I have sat for hours watching the sunset on several occasions. The food is superb, exactly what I look for in a place to eat. It is all things hearty and healthy, with quality ingredients, and lots of organic produce. I think this focus -- careful preparation with quality ingredients -- is really the main thread of a big menu with many diverse offerings. I can easily recommend everything I have tried at Shores Kitchen: dumplings, salads, empanadas, beef tacos, guacamole, and especially delicious and colorful margherita pizzas. I've had many delicious bowls of pho. If you are going for the first time and craving a burger, they make a great one here. It is immediately clear that everything you order at Shores Kitchen is chosen and made with great love, thought, and care. Nothing is fussy or pretentious, and the prices are reasonable considering the generous serving sizes and the great quality of what you're getting. To that end, Indiana & Mimi are a dream team -- remarkably professional, generous, experienced, and friendly restaurant operators -- they go out of their way to ensure that your experience at Shores Kitchen is a great one. The restaurant also serves as a kind of informal convenience store for the apartments in the complex and all who visit. I didn't expect to take advantage of this, but I've found it very handy to be able to grab beverages, desserts, and other household needs. Make sure you grab a lemon bar or a slice of carrot cake. Sometimes there are also giant Linzer cookies. While I've only been in town since the summer, it seems as though what used to be the restaurant's interior dining space was reconfigured with an eye to providing more storage for these types of goods and items. All the better. Indiana & Mimi are taking careful and necessary precautions regarding COVID-19. Social-distancing and masks are required, of course. But you're hardly out of reach from a bottle of sanitizer or some disinfecting wipes. Among everything else, this was especially reassuring to me. Looking for Vietnamese food I found this hidden heaven on yelp and I called to make sure they have dining in (since it's pandemic), and yes they have a cute terrace with comfortable seats by the pool and palms view! Here it is bottom line: 4 stars for food, 2 (at best) for service, 1 for atmosphere and access! To try to be fair the burger was delicious, but we were the only 2 persons there and it took over 20 minutes to even get served a drink. It seems like you have to be a tenant on the premises in order to get access, I was lucky as someone was exiting the security door as no one answered the bell. The parking is across the street behind the shops on Main but there is no sign and there is nothing there to indicate even where the restaurant is when you're going down on Neilson Avenue. The atmosphere reminded me of a old outdated hotel shop with a kitchen. Location actually has potential but the place needs to be remodeled and they need to make access much easier otherwise this explains why we were the only two people there in the middle of lunch time frankly I was a little embarrassed as well since this was my first time there and I expected something much different. read more

I especially recommend the vegetarian sandwich, the soups and the pizza. The gluten free coconut cake is really yummy.
