I had an amazing experience with The Termite Guy. I received a personalized level of service that wouldn't have been possible at any other company. I had a unique and complicated situation and they were the ONLY company that I found that could meet my needs. I have a 1938 house with Spanish roof tiles, which I needed to be preserved during the process. I was also re-roofing a portion of my house and needed the fumigation to be imbedded into the roofing schedule. After interviewing about a dozen companies, I chose the Termite Guy for two reasons: (1) They have a tile warranty and a roofer on staff, so I knew that they would take good care of my tile roof; and (2) The professionalism of the inspector Craig, who had a great combination of knowledge, patience and attention to detail, which helped greatly in the structuring and execution of my project. I have an inspector Steve Fastuca to come to my house. Once i received the report, I called him to go through the report. I am asking the detail questions regarding the fumigation warranty, roof tile warranty information and pricing etc.. He is very rude and cut off the phone once I ask him all details. Since he mentioned they will exam the tile after Fumigation. I would like to know they fix or replace the tiles which were damaged due to Fumigation. The inspector never replied my message and phone call. I called the office and got the answers , when I try to scheduled the service. I was rejected. I used this company for my home inspection during my home buying process. I was quoted $2,000 for service. I figured $2,000 is not enough to contact the seller to ask for concessions for the repair. $2,000 is amount not worth making a stink over to cause problems in escrow. I closed on the house and when I contacted The Termite Guy for the service the quoted me $1,800 over what I was initially told. I asked why and I received a number of unprofessional excuses. From the tech checked the wrong box, the tech meant to give me a $200 discount but he wrote in the wrong slot, to my personal favorite, which was since the tech came on a Friday and the report was sent on a Monday it wasn't compete since they don't work on weekends. So you're saying you sent an incomplete report to a customer? And on a home inspection which the purpose of is to help the customer determine if they need to negotiate pricing with the seller prior to closing on a home. Completely ridiculous and unacceptable. This was especially stressful since I could not move into my home before I had it fumigating and I had to be out of my apartment. Exterminators are booked for weeks in advance and these guys put me in a horrible position. I can't speak to their actual service since I did not get there. However I can absolutely speak to their home inspection and customer service. If you want vendors you can trust to give you an accurate price look elsewhere. If you are looking for professionals look elsewhere. I ended up using MC Exterminating. A company that moved heaven and earth to assist me. They were also $450 cheaper. And the service they attempted to charge my $1,800 for stair repair I got for $700. Save yourself the headache and avoid The Termite Guy. read more
