The Toreore 'Korean fried chicken' is the best fried chicken in town. I personally don't like fried chicken or chicken meat in general. I can only do the wings portion and I don't eat it often either. I have tried all the flavors on the menu but my NUMBER 1 recommended flavor is Garlic Plus chicken plus 1 sweet & spicy sauce to go. Garlic plus flavor is so succulent and flavorful, I feel like I can smell that flavor miles away 'wink'... The chicken is super crispy outside and moist inside. The reason I recommended to add 1 sweet & spicy container sauce to go with it because it adds more flavor for the chicken plus a little kick of hotness inside your mouth. I dip the pieces of chicken with the sweet & spicy sauce and not pour them over since I want to keep the skin crispy. On the other hand if you like Spicy on a scale of 1 - 5.... If you can eat 4 - 5 range then I would recommend the Sweet & Spicy flavor chicken. The only thing I stop eating that flavor and getting it as a side sauce to dip in because it's pretty darn hot after eating two pieces of chicken. I can feel my mouth burning and it just make the foods doesn't taste good anymore. Also Garlic plus is more flavorful and dipping it in the sweet & spicy sauce will just give it more flavor. Also the chicken come with a Korean side dish 'sweet & sour radish' which give our mouth a bonus flavor that just blend right through with the food. The chicken pieces are pretty small compare with KFC, Popeyes, Church's, etc...and a little pricey... $9.99 for 7 pieces... But if the food is good a little pricier would be worth the money. I am actually a big fan of this place. My favorite is their spicy chicken! The only problem is that it's kind of a hit or miss with the chicken pieces. Sometimes you'll hit jackpot with big pieces, and at other times, you'll end up with some merely small, disappointing chicken. They have a garlic flavor that's more of a dry fried chicken. The only fried chicken i eat now is their fried chicken. It's pretty messy to eat the chicken (the yummy sauce drips everywhere), but they provide the gloves for you. I always call in to order my food before actually going to H-mart, you can expect at least a 20minute wait for your food but it's worth it. The kimchi fries are always on point and the bulgogi is always really soft and tender. As for the chicken, it's not just chicken wings there are other parts of the chicken in there as well. I found the hot and spicy to be a little too spicy for me (and I usually can deal with a decent amount of spice). The pickled radish that comes with the chicken definitely helps with the heat of the chicken. It was a LOT of food. We couldn't finish all the chicken and nearly 8 hours later we are still feeling pretty full. The chicken was extremely crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, super easy to pull apart. No matter what time of day, expect a wait, as they fry everything to order, and if there is already a queue ahead of you, you're in for at least a 40 minute wait. If you order bone-in wings, they also give you "finger gloves" to help keep your fingers clean as you dig in to your meal, while boneless wings they will give you forks. I feel as though some of the staff don't take their job seriously: (1) ordered kimchi fries, waited a while, walked back to their counter to see the fries just sitting behind their counter while a staff member stood idly by, to which they did not start "dressing" the fries until we asked about it; (2) on two separate occasions, as I waited, I heard them call out the numbers of the orders ready for pick-up. First time being here. I have been to other Korean fried chicken places. Wasn't impressed with the midtown place and was impressed with another place in Chinatown. This place is in Korean Town. It's much better. The sauce is less sweet but very spicy. It tastes more Asian authentic than the other two places. The food didn't make me feel so down like the Chinatown restaurant. The radish side was OK and didn't give me indigestion like the Chinatown place. ToreOre chicken is cheaper than the KFC location in Chinatown. My only complaint is that the chicken wasn't marinated in the sauce but more like poured over it. Perhaps that is what makes it so good, that the crunchiness was still intact. Im not gonna say that it was better than it was before because honestly I don't think it was. It tastes exactly the same to me but now maybe even of lesser quality? Not sure why it took so long since I was the only customer waiting but I was hungry and needed to shop for groceries at Hmart. After a little bit of shopping, I came back and my food was ready. The sauce is definitely spicy but it was also very sweet. The name should be changed from hot and spicy to sweet and spicy chicken. The batter was very thick and crunchy however, there wasn't much chicken meat. My chicken pieces were literally random cuts of chicken. There were three pieces of thigh meat that could connect together and make one large piece. There were giant pieces of bone plate connected to the meat that I could connect together like a puzzle. It is pretty deceiving to cut the chicken into small pieces, add a ton of batter to make them look bigger and to count them as separate pieces. I will not return. read more

Korean fried chicken, that's the name of the game here. The two times I ate here I was impressed and pleased with the overall experience. First, the employees that took my orders were nice and friendly. It's the little details, like the plastic glove you get with your order to grab and eat the sauce-slathered chicken without getting your hands so messy. The menu prices are a bit higher than average chicken plates but that should be expected since Korean food is usually priced higher. The time it takes to get your order does take a little longer than at a typical fast food joint but the fresh, hot order you get makes up for the slightly longer wait. The boneless chicken plate with vegetables and mochi was just delicious! Complimenting this dish, I had kimchi fries that were of a generous portion size, tasty and not too greasy. I love going here, it used to be a weekly spot for my s/o and I. Walking into the H-mart is just like walking in to any other Asian food market. Upon entry you are greeted with the familiar smells of all the produce and food around the small area of shops inside the market. To better explain, it is as though a miniature market is stuffed inside the H-mart. There are around 7 different Asian food places right next to ToreOre and I firmly believe that they do fried chicken the best. The same staff is always there when I go and I am always happy with my meal. The prices are reasonable for the amount of chicken that you get. The huge pieces of bone-in chicken come in a medium sized pizza box with a small container of sliced daikon to cleanse your pallet. The chicken is very well seasoned and drenched in amazing sauce. Every single time I go there I get a couple boxes and in each box there always seems to be a huge piece of a single boneless nugget-type chicken, and it is what look most forward to. By the way, you are given thin plastic gloves to eat this chicken and I wouldn't eat it without them. They help so much since the chicken is so juicy and dripping in sauce. read more
