The staff was very kind, attentive, and did a great job trying to make up for the longer wait. They brought us cornbread while we waited, provided free refills for the kids' drinks, gave us a complimentary margarita, a free collard greens egg roll, and even applied 15% off our bill. I truly appreciated the effort they made to accommodate us and make sure we still had a good experience. I ordered the $25.99 Pick Four brunch option with the chicken waffle sandwich and two wings, and my kids had the chicken and waffles. While the wait was longer than expected, I understand that fresh food can take time. The only area for improvement would be making sure the food comes out hot, as our meals were not as warm as we would have liked. However, the friendly staff and their willingness to go above and beyond really stood out. Overall, Gigi's Cafe has a lot of potential. The chicken only comes in wings. Nevertheless, they were seasoned and fried well, had a light breading, and were meaty. The pork chops were moist and savory. The smothered dishes weren't really smothered and could have used some more gravy, which lacked onions. But that didn't stop us from thoroughly enjoying them. Perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. And let's talk about their chipotle salsa... I'm obsessed. I was putting it on everything on the table.
