Was walking around Mt. Kisco with my wife and found the Awesome Mediterranean spot...so we checked it out. We sat outside (about 6 to 8 small tables along the sidewalk) and started with some yummy stuffed grape leaves..then enjoyed a delicious lamb dish while my wife enjoyed a chicken meal..both served with rice and a salad. We very much enjoyed our lunch. Service was fast and courteous. I am reserving my 5 stars until we return for dinner, as I haven't been inside yet and cant speak to their decor or Bar Drinks..YET! There are tons of options for those who have various dietary restrictions. The bread that came out first was DELICIOUS. I really enjoyed the oil dip that was served alongside of it. I ordered the Mixed Grill platter. The chicken and meat were very tender. There was so much food, we could have easily shared. I saved an entire serving for the following day. Dirty, raw chicken and utterly inconsistent. We've ordered from this place several times and each time the food is inconsistent. One time the fries are raw, the next time the rice is undercooked and hard. The last time we got raw chicken thighs in the chicken wrap. When we called, it took a long while for them to even understand what I was saying since language was a barrier. They said they would refund the cost of the wrap but haven't. I'm all for supporting local businesses but won't turn a blind eye to health standards. The night we got raw chicken from this place, they had 1 table seated. Not so busy that standards are sacrificed. Maybe a decent place for people who have lower standards but I will never ever go back and will never recommend this place to friends. read more

We were totally floored by how delicious the food was at the Turk. We ordered the Spicy Ezme as an app. Who could not be delighted by warm bread (two kinds!) and intensely flavorful dipping sauce. The Ezme comes with both the spicy tomato based sauce and a refreshing herby mustard dip. The staff was extremely kind enough to bring us extra bread and extra mustard on the house. As our main we ordered the mixed grill, which had an assortment of perfectly spiced lamb (and a couple pieces of chicken). We dipped the lamb in the extra Ezme which gave it a lot of extra flavor. For two people this was more than enough food. You could probably take some home. Overall, this place was great and definitely worth a visit. read more

Walked in with no reservation and lucked out. Pretty place, with comfortable seating. Nice lighting. Very friendly server. Gave us the specials. We started off with Feta spread appetizers. Grilled pita bread. Also had the Eggplant salad. For our main, we ordered the mixed grill. Lamb is my favorite and it did not disappoint. I was given hot pepper relish to try and I loved it. Delicious! I had lentil soup as a starter and the feta-hummus dip. Both were excellent. They served the pita bread with a lemon and a couple spices that really added a lot to the lentil soup. I loved the olive oil-mustard sauce to dip the bread in as well. For dinner, I had the lamb doner kebab, served with rice and salad. The salad had fresh oil on it and beets, which, when eaten with the kebab and yoghurt sauce together, was really good. Service was perfect- very attentive and friendly. I recommend you begin with vegetarian dishes such as salads, cucumbers, hummus, etc. Then go for one of the many interesting meat dishes, from moussaka to grilled meats. We can tell when kitchen staff makes Tahini. Pretty bad & cover up lack of caring by adding Tabasco sauce. Owner we admire you ; khow thar your kitchen staff takes ludicrous short cuts! D twice deep fried bliss potatoes cut for roasting are not meant to be deep fried twice or even once. There is a logical reason why " French fries" are cut in that specific shape. This time we got unevenly cut bliss. Double deep fried. Yuck! Delicious Turkish food. For starters we had the falafel which was very good. Sometimes falafel is a bit on the dry side but this was done very well and one of the better ones I've had before. I told the owner I liked spicy so he brought me out some sauces to put on it. For our entrees I got the lamb shish kebab and my wife got a steak special which was a similar cut to filet mignon. Both were delicious and the presentation was also very impressive. Each came with a salad and starch (mine came with brown rice and the steak came with potato wedges). It was a very satisfying lunch both in quality and quantity. To me the highlight of the meal was the dessert, the Kunefe. Instead of settling on the baklava, we decided to go for something we'd never had which came recommended by the owner. In a word, decadent. It's basically the dough used for baklava, shredded, with some type of cheese and syrup topped with pistachio and vanilla ice cream. Amazing and a must-try for dessert enthusiasts like myself. On top of the delicious food, the owner was extremely pleasant and hospitable. You can tell he really takes pride in his culture and the food his restaurant serves. read more

This my first ever Yelp review because it's so necessary. This place is AMAZING. We event went to dinner with a chef and he said "THIS PLACE WAS EXCELLENT." The food was so fresh and tasty. They make the pita fresh every time! The cold and hot appetizer sampler was the perfect start. All of the meals were huge portions and it made my whole party stuffed! The service was superb. Esen, the manager, was so helpful and really made the dining experience wonderful. Our other server, Noah, was so kind and welcoming. I HIGHLY recommend this place for any occasion. P.S.
