Not only did the employee send him out with his cell number so I could just text it to him. He even told me how polite and well mannered my son was. I hate that this is my closest UPS store. The customer service has been horrible every time I've come in. I thought maybe the employee was having a bad day. We're all allowed bad days! Once they had to close up shop as I was walking. They needed to cover a location off Limonite. When I asked where exactly it was the employee looked at me like I was dumb and repeated "Limonite". The last time I was in I picked up a package. I wasn't acknowledged when I walked in. I was basically trying to sign to this guy what I was there for because he wouldn't get off the phone (with someone who sounded like his girlfriend) to help me out. I located the package myself as he kept ensuring the person in the phone that he was still listening them. Horrible customer service & every single time this HAS to be my option I roll my eyes and dread having to come here. When I came in, there was only one employee working, and he was extremely rude from the start. I had five boxes, each weighing about 35 lbs, and I asked to use their cart--something every other UPS store I've visited has always allowed without any issue. Instead, he refused and wouldn't let me use it at all. No explanation, no attempt to help, nothing. I waited in line for a long time at the 5120 Hamner Ave store, and when it was finally my turn, I was met with zero greeting and a female employee whose disgusted expression made it clear I was unwelcome. I asked to print 100 flyers. She flatly said, "The machine's broken." I asked when it broke, when it would be fixed, or if I could print something else like business cards. She shrugged: "I don't know." When I pressed further, she claimed: "All UPS stores have suspended printing services." Really? Because I immediately drove to another UPS store nearby -- and guess what? They printed everything just fine. No issues at all. The staff there were warm and helpful -- the complete opposite. What really crossed the line: this woman had a smug, dismissive attitude toward me the entire time -- but then seconds later, flipped into smiling, chatty mode when talking to a male coworker. My 7-year-old daughter was watching all this and asked me, "Why is that lady so mean?" How do you explain that kind of behavior to a child? UPS, this is not just poor service -- this is unprofessional, manipulative, and reeks of something worse. I went into this location on 4/20 at around 9:15 am and walked up to the counter to do an Amazon return. I got to the counter where hunter was and he said Amazon return and I said yes and got my barcode ready to scan he tells me I can use the kiosk and pointed to it which confused me since no one else was in the store and I was the only customer. So I said are you able to help me? And he said I can but I'm busy and was very dismissive to me. As I mention before I was the only person in the store (can be confirmed by the cameras ) and the whole interaction left a really bad taste in my mouth. My husband and I own our own business and use the UPS store quite often and I would want to know as a company if I ever had an employee that acted this way to customers. I will be using different company from now on that treats me like an actual human. Hopefully a manager of this location reads this and takes proper action because this kind of treatment should be unacceptable. I can see now why they are rated so low on this platform. Instead, I ended up dealing with one of the most outrageous and disrespectful customer service experiences I've ever had. Outrage #1: They tried to charge me $8.99 for a tiny cardboard box The employee insisted I had to buy their box -- and the "cheapest" option was somehow $8.99. When I asked for: a price list posted fees any written guidelines They had nothing. Just an attitude of "this is how it is." I literally had to waste time driving home to grab my own box. Outrage #2: I brought my own box -- and they still demanded a $5.99 tape fee Even though my box was already sealed, they claimed it wasn't good enough and they "must" charge $5.99 to apply tape. Just don't. They are messy and unorganized. They switched the label on one of our boxes and lost our package. Both boxes were identical but one was delivered as a 30 pound t-shirt. This wasn't a problem in shipping, it's the store. With proof and all she didn't apologize, told us if we didn't insure it was basically our loss. WOW the previous reviews are sad. Iris was the only one in there, but she was very polite and professional when she helped me with my fingerprinting. Every other location was annoyed about it, but not her. I witnessed 2 different people get mad at her for literally doing her job. They got mad that she required ID to pick up a package and that they charge to wrap up a box ! She's only doing her job and following rules. And I'm SURE she would love it to be more staffed as well. She's consistently rude, talks down to customers, and acts as if she's being inconvenienced just by doing her job. I always ask how they are doing bc I'm in customer service). I came to drop off packages on a Sunday because I saw that they were open. I get there and the doors don't open with a sign saying that they are closed on Sundays. Totally get it, but maybe you can update the hours? On yelp, it says they updated the hours a week ago, so ?
