*SHIPPER BEWARE* I dropped off a package here recently and unfortunately, the contents of said package were stolen. The package usually ships within one day but took several to see any updates. The package was open by the receiver with the contents missing, along with a tampered label. I've sent over 75 items to the same address with no problems, but this location had other plans. I recently had a purchased routed to this store and they released the package to someone other then me, as in, the name on their ID was not my name. I'm going to just reiterate that, they gave a very expensive package to a person who had a, ostensibly, fake ID, with a name on it that is not mine. No red flags for them, just a 'close enough.' Well, friends close enough only applies to horseshoes, hand grenades, and presidential elections (topical!). Now I have to file a dispute with UPS, PayPal, Dell, and the El Monte Police Department all because one person with a breathtaking IQ gave a package to a person whose name did not match that on the package, which is not how packages, the English language, or current global naming conventions work. I could have caught this mistake even if the address and name was is Japanese, because the letters DON'T MATCH. Update: Per the owner's response I have thought of a few more things to say and then it's done and I'll never think about these people again, because now that's the police's job and they have much more important things to do. I'm not going to respond to the grammatical errors, because who cares, instead I will point out you do not need to claim I left out facts and then reiterate what I already wrote in my review. You say you did nothing wrong because you followed UPS guidelines, but this argument is invalid because you handed the package to someone other than me. You said their ID matched last name and address, but again, still not me. You said they had the tracking number, so they're good at being a criminal and because they're good at it, it's not your fault? Come on, man, that argument doesn't work when my kid uses it, so it won't work with an... adult? I'm assuming you're an adult but whining about a bad review when someone caught your mistake is childish. I call you ten minutes after the package had been picked up because the UPS app notified me it had been picked up by some OTHER then myself, and my tiny little brain thought, 'if I didn't pick it up, someone else did!" The package was marked high value, because I didn't have the option to authorize release without signature, which you never got from me, and in point of fact, did get from someone OTHER then me, but it's not your fault because of guidelines, blah, blah, blah. You messed up big time, and the excuse of the quality of criminal isn't a good one. There are times in life when we make mistakes, learn from it, grow, and move on, but don't ask someone to take down a review while calling it inaccurate and giving specious arguments. read more

I really like the professionalism and quick service they provide here. I normally get in and out fairly reasonable. They have professional staff that know what they're doing. The price to ship is a bit higher than usps, but they are a private company and not subsidize by our tax money. I rather pay a little more than wait in line at the post office any day. read more

Today, I had driven from Moreno Valley to get my 90 year old grandma down to a notary service. I chose this place because they were open and the website said convenient. The site didn't say we needed an appointment but, we took one anyways. 2 hours later we came back only to be told they had bad news. I didn't even get the courtesy to receive a phone call, in which I provided my cell phone number. You know how you know someone is lying, you see it in their face and demeanor. The expression I seen in the employee's face as soon as I came through the door. She was standing around with 2 other girls bullshitting, when she should have been calling me about the cancellation. When I brought this to her attention, she flat out lied to my face and said that the notary just called in. Extremely mad and disappointed with how this place handled our needs. I was in urgent need to get a document scanned and Yelp pointed me to The UPS Store in El Monte. As soon as I waked in I was greeted instantly and informed that they would be right with me. The two ladies at the counter were smiling and friendly as they helping other customers. Jasmine was the associate that helped me. She informed me the scanning equipment was "out of order". She noticed the look of panic on my face and asked me if I had an iPhone. She immediately explained that I came to the right place because she was pretty Techy and showed me how to scan the document from my iPhone. I acknowledge that Jasmine could have just said - sorry and sent me on my way but instead, Jasmine went above and beyond to provide great customer service and helped me out. The best advice I can give is to be very careful when shipping international shipments with this UPS location. I had super bad experience with this UPS location. They clearly have lag of management. The store manager/owner here has a very bad attitude, even though he find out that his employee enter the wrong address for the shipping destination, he still blame me for the errors and doesn't even say sorry or offer a refund. Instead, he called me a liar...and giving me an attitude... I shipped my FBA products to Amazon Canada and I told the clerk that I want to ship the package to the address on the FBA label and somehow the girl print a label from my previous shipment. Since I assumed that she know what she is doing, I did not verify the address. Therefore, it was sent to the wrong address and my package was rejected by Amazon so my shipping fee of $92 is going in the drain and I lost lots of money since my inventory is now out of stock. This is the 3rd packages that I send with them. The first package I shipped with them was hold by custom for months and the store owner offer me refund since I left him a 1star review. The second package I send was delay again with custom because it has lag of information but I was able to clear it and it was release after 2 weeks And now the third packages, they enter the wrong address for the Destination. Delay was 1 month and I lost my shipping fee of $92 As they say 3rd time is a charm. So, Will never do any business at this UPS location again. I was elated to discover El Monte finally got its own UPS Store, as I highly dislike the one in Rosemead (bad customer service, refused to give me receipts, shook my boxes to "inspect" the packaging, tried to upsell me on unnecessary services, etc.). This new UPS store is in the nook of the Santa Fe Trail Plaza, closer to the Wingstop and Menchie's side. There's ample parking everywhere which is a definite bonus. After parking and entering, the store was immaculately clean and even had a little electronic bell to alert the store when a new customer has entered. There was another customer ahead of me, but he was quickly assisted by who I later learned was the owner. I just needed to drop off an Amazon return, but decided to grab a receipt since I had waited as well. I chatted a bit with the owner (I didn't catch his name, but from the other reviews I presume it's Sako) and he was incredibly friendly. I learned that he also owns other UPS stores, so it's fantastic that this store is managed by someone with a lot of experience and has a steady repertoire with UPS HQ. Overall, I definitely recommend coming to this UPS store for all your shipping and business needs. They are true professionals here. read more

This is one of the best UPS stores I've been to. They are always making your visit quick and efficient. The employees are all so accommodating and are always willing to help if your are confused with the Amazon return system. They even allow you to send an email of the shipping label and they print it out for you free of charge. Other stores I've been to charge you for that type of service.
