Generally speaking, this place gets my business because it's the only option locally. I avoid it every time I'm able. Service there is hit or miss at best; depends on who is in the store. Some are friendly and efficient; the gal who needed almost ten minutes yesterday to find a box for a small simple shipment was less so. Prices: sky high. Hours: very suburban. Delivery through UPS? The staff here is great. I had to photocopy a bunch of legal size documents that were permanently bound together, then send the originals UPS. I came in the door literally about a minute before they closed, but you would think I was the first customer of the day by the way I was treated. I was annoyed at myself for arriving so late and inconveniencing the staff who I am sure would have loved to get off work on time! I was really happy that the staff was very pleasant and helpful and didn't make me feel rushed at all. I will definitely be back the next time I need to ship something. read more

I will never do any future business with the Moraga UPS store specifically because of the rude and unprofessional conduct of Michelle M. I needed to have documents notarized which were being sent by a third party law firm. When I called to arrange to come into the store for the notary service, Michelle began to berate me because of the way the Canadian law firm had addressed the documents. I was not the law firm client and did not have control over how they drafted the documents. I explained that but it did not matter to her. She continued to go on her crazy rant towards me as if I had directed how the law firm conducted themselves. Nutso, unprofessional, rude. read more

I am truly saddened to have to write this review, but feel it a must. I took a package to the UPS Store in Moraga on Tuesday and purchased 3-day shipping with UPS. The day before delivery, my sister, the recipient, received an e-mail notification that the package was going to be delayed for an additional 4 days making the transit time a full week. I could have purchased UPS Ground Service for $28.00 but opted for the 3-day delivery to ensure it would arrive on or close to my sister's birthday and the cost was $66.00. The delay now puts delivery days after. The service in shipping was stellar! The customer service here has always been quite good and I am a loyal repeat customer that spends quite a bit of money at this store. Today, however, when I called the store to discuss the matter, the man I assume to be the owner, instantly took defense and quipped that there is never a guarantee. He was hateful and indignant and demanded to see the e-mail that was sent to my sister as proof. He literally said: "I don't want to wake up tomorrow and see that this package has been delivered." I understand there is no guarantee, but the difference between ground and 3-day is $38.00. This man, the owner, was whining to me that his cost is $35.00. That really is NOT my problem. Finally, after watching this jerk bumble around, smack the keys on his keyboard, aggressively push things around, and huff and puff his disdain, he offered me a refund of $15.00. I asked for $20.00. After a large heavy sigh, he opened the cash drawer and pushed the $20.00 at me with another long sigh. I told him, sir, your attitude in dealing with this matter has lost you a very good long time customer. He grumbled a half-hearted apology. I will not be going back here, I will be taking my business to Kinkos in Lafayette. It's a 10-minute drive, but I refuse to be treated as I was at the Moraga UPS Store. The owner needs to go to customer service training and if he is that unhappy at his business, perhaps he should sell out or retire. As an additional note, the day I sent this package, I was waited on by Kirsten. She was lovely. While I was with her, I could hear this guy mumbling and grumbling then as well. Thank you, Kirsten, sorry you have to work with such an A$$%*(#. Reading through your reviews, I see another customer made a complaint about the gruff older man working here. You should read your reviews and learn from them. ** UPDATE: My Sister contacted me this morning to let me know that she received yet another e-mail from UPS advising her that her package delivery had been changed and that indeed it would arrive today on schedule **3-day Service** and it did arrive today. I returned to the UPS Store with the crisp $20.00 bill refund I was issued with such disdain yesterday. Doug was not there to have to face me when I returned the money he had returned to me. This shows everyone that I indeed am a very good person who lives my life in integrity. The service ended up being provided as ordered, no refund required. Therefore the money has been refunded. Doug, on a very personal note, you have lost a very good customer not because of no guarantee, not because UPS service is totally unreliable. I understand and respect that after that package goes out your door you have nothing to do with it. But UPS is what hangs above your door sir and UPS should stand behind the service their customers pay for and that should not be made to be the customer's problem. The reason you have lost this good person as a customer is because of your hateful attitude and the statement that you made that you did not want to wake up today and see my package delivered on time. Well, it was. You got your $20.00 back and you can relish it as it is the last time I will be utilizing the services of your store, which has been a staple to me since moving to Moraga over 10 years ago. I hope you will take this and grow from it. You and your attitude yesterday were deplorable sir. We only used the packing services of this UPS Store for quite a few pieces which included lead crystal, pictures large and heavy, books, porcelain, delicate figurines, display fossils, and a lot of other items. The personnel at this location are well trained for this because each item was wrapped with care and excellent protection, which meant that all of my keepsakes arrived safely and undamaged. I dropped off 2 packages at the same time and one did not arrive. It did not track at UPS either. I called the store and asked them to look into it and was told I would get a call back. They didn't call. I called again a few days later and told I would get a call back. They didn't call. So I drove over to the store with the information and they say "you need to call UPS. The staff here were very helpful in my simplest of needs. I really enjoyed the guy who helped me, probably a local college student. He was very friendly and professional, and when my fax just wouldnt seem to go through (I possibly had the wrong number) he offered to scan it and e-mail it for me which happened to work perfect me. My document was submitted on time via e-mail rather than fax and I was a happy camper. I really appreciated the down to earth vibe of the people working. read more

I can't speak to the actual shipping services here, as it would have been over $120 to ship a moderately sized box to Alaska (YIKES), but the guys were extremely helpful in pointing me in the best direction to get my stuff up there in the cheapest (albeit slower) manner. read more

Great experience every time I come here! The staff are extremely helpful and courteous, always greet me by name (thought I can't remember theirs right now... I'll blame it on baby brain) and have exceeded my expectations on multiple visits. They've come to the rescue multiple times when I've had a sleeping toddler and newborn in the back seat and rather than have me wake them both up and schlep a car seat into the store, they've actually brought my mail and package OUT to me to have me sign for it! How helpful is that? Today, I needed to pick up a package and some mail but I didn't have my key with me (grandma was in the car with the two kiddos) and the shop was busy so I had to wait my turn. When, out of no where, someone came out of the back office, CARRYING my mail no less and grabbed the package to have me sign. Seriously? Love these guys! THANK YOU for always being so friendly and smiley! The only thing I could ask for is that they enable deposit ability for USAA account holders. read more

Hit or miss, been going here for about three years. Most of the employees (the men) are great and super helpful, others (the women) have you leaving feeling like you were lucky they took the time to grace you with their attention. You might even be given a free and unsolicited opinion on your character such as "you're all over the place and It's bothering me..." True, but I didn't need to hear that while I'm trying to get the one thing done I need to do before getting to MY job at 8:15 AM. However it's a mini monopoly in this little town and it's super busy. So when you have a teenager telling you that the problem must be you who used the copier wrong and made it jam because you inserted the counter before you made the copies instead of afterwards , (?) you just smile politely. And if you are told in a condescending tone that perhaps your fax to Schwab isn't going through because it's Saturday (?) and it couldn't possible be their phone line, you let it go, and drive to the Orinda store, where your fax goes through swimmingly. read more

Never use the notary service here!! We had a time sensitive passport issue that needed notarization. The notary incorrectly filled out the form and our passports were denied. Now we are stuck without passports and unable to travel internationally unless the US embassy can work hastily. If you have any important documents DO NOT use this notary service. read more
