Horrible customer service! I usually mail stuff through USPS but I wanted to give UPS a try since it's closer to my house. I waited for a really long time before I got "helped" by Maria and she was ridiculously rude. The first thing she said to me was, "put it on the scale." Ummm how about hi? Anyways, I did as told then she fumble through my shipping label and said "It needs a postal code" and rudely pushed my package to the side. I did not get to ask her a question before she called the next customer. I then told her, I've never had to put the postal code to ship to this particular address plus my receiver does NOT have a postal code. Not everywhere have a postal code, especially in Vietnam. Maria repeatedly and obnoxiously replied while rolling her eyes at me..."It needs a postal code! It needs a postal code!" She could have tried to look up the postal code since I have the address or politely explain to me why UPS can not ship my package without a postal code. Had she done that then I wouldn't be here typing this review. I had enough of her dreadful attitude and unprofessionalism so I took my package to USPS a few street down and sure enough... I was able to ship it WITHOUT the "postal code" and the horrendous attitude. I don't mind driving farther or paying more as long as I can avoid this appalling customer service. This is the first as LAST time I attempt to do business with UPS. I had higher expectation for UPS since they are a very well-known shipping company but they need to find professional and experienced employees. Extremely disappointed. Avoid this place at all costs. Just tried to drop off a package with a prepaid ups label and they just said, "oh just for it off in the cart." I asked if I can get a receipt that I dropped it off and they seemed to be bothered by it. And I asked is there a problem with getting a proof of drop off, their response, "uh, well no but your tracking number is your proof." I just asked for my package back as I felt very uncomfortable leaving my package with them. As if I'm that stupid to just leave anyone a package and expect it to make it to its destination. What kind of UPS Store "does not accept boxes from other couriers"? We were told that they only accept envelopes going regular mail, but not boxes. Isn't the whole point of a UPS Store the fact that they are convenient and can accept drop-offs like regular mail?? I used to work at a UPS Store and now use them regularly to drop stuff off for my business and I have NEVER heard of this stupid rule. I've been in the store a week straight going on the second week trying to get a claim filed about a damaged packaged. Since April 5th I've been trying to get a claim approved. I see that some of you are having same or similar issues. Even with insurance and letting them package it he still has yet to get back to me and it's going on about month now. We should just sue him. For lost product lost wages having to go back and forth and maybe even defamation of character if selling on eBay where reviews are everything. I called again today and the same run around. UPS you should be more careful on who you franchise to. Your giving yourself at least in this part of California a bad name due to this site. read more

Not sure what the other complaints are about but I've never had a problem with my UPS packages being delivered. They've got Saturday business hours that allow me to drop off my UPS package hassle free and there's always a person in store to make sure your packages don't get stolen. And there's a convenient Loading Only space right in front of the store to make your drop off even faster. I haven't had to deal with much customer service yet, but as long as my packages are delivered (and they have been), I'm a happy camper. read more

The owner "Ron, East Indian 504 140" is a thief! If you're dropping off a UPS package with a label already on your package, he will tell you to leave it in a corner without anyone watching it and will refuse to give you a receipt. I had packages stolen because he would not give me a receipt. Please don't fall victim to his scam. If you ask for a receipt he will go crazy and start yelling at you in the store "YOU DON'T TRUST ME?!, I'M NOT GIVING YOU ANY RECEIPT!" Do not deal with this thief. I come here to drop off packages when I need to return something from Amazon. The first couple times I went I was pretty pleased by how nice the staff was. They offered to tape up the boxes for me and everything. Very nice. Then I went to get a livescan done for my bar application and I was completely taken aback at how mean the guy was. Also -- he kept telling me it would cost 57 dollars because of the DOJ fees but it really didn't because those fees get paid as part of my application fees. When I tried to clarify he was very short and rude and gave me incorrect information about how the process works and how the billing number works. I told him that the website said that the service should only cost 20-25 and that the other places are charging 14 sometimes (my school brings in a guy to do this on campus), and he got irritated and told me to go elsewhere if that's what I wanted. I don't understand why, but he seemed pretty happy to let me take my business elsewhere. So I left and found another location that was a lot more professional with their customer service, charged the right price (as advertised on the DOJ website) and made sure I got a good set of prints. If you need a livescan done in the SGV go to Vina! Super nice mom and pop store and they know what they are doing (at least for the attorney license process). I felt way more confident there -- even though the process is very standard, the previous experience really shook me up. So glad I didn't overpay. So don't use this place for livescan. Just drop off your amazon stuff here. It's convenient and next to a target -- but that's about it. read more

This place greatly overcharges you. If you print online they have normal prices, but when I went in and printed out 8 black and white pages from my email, they charged me almost 10 dollars. 10 dollars for 8 black and white pages.... I have printed at many USPS, printing is never more than a dollar. They also charge higher for shipping than other UPS in the area. read more

I was a customer there for almost three years never had an issue they got a new employee I noticed I wasn't recieving any mail for about a month and a half I spoke to the manager he said I should make sure I write the address correctly again been there for years. I decided not to keep renting from them because of this issue and was hoping to at least get reimbursed for the rest of the time I wasn't going to use it but was told no reimbursement. Horrible. Should have went with the bad reviews!! But I had no choice I had to try. I got to the store at 8:30am when they are supposed to be open and as someone else posted nobody there. I waited till 8:40am and had to leave. Unbelievable!!!! And on top of that an employee that works at the next door business stated he was always late and she knew he wasn't there because his motorcycle wasn't parked on the side of the store! How do you stay in business that way. If all of you out there can stay away please do not give this store any business. I went to fax document, but the picture was not clear because of lighting. So I came back to re-fax it. The front desk aide Asian guy was nice to help me. He did not charge me for that. Surprised at all the negative reviews. Every time I've been here, maybe a dozen or so times, I've always been treated with respect and a smile. I've been helped by many different employee and they all seem to be helpful and polite. It does get busy, so sometimes if I see a crowd I'll skip and come back later if my business isn't urgent. By far the worst shipping center I've ever been to. It's messy, unorganized, and not very efficient at all. No station designated for customers to put together their package to ship, no trashcan, packaging supplies are behind the counter. The free standard envelopes are hidden so that you only see the bubble wrapped envelopes. Don't be fooled.. as they will charge you for those. Make sure to ask for the standard envelopes. I just wanted to say thank you and give a positive review to the individual who has helped me twice this week. I don't know his name but there is a male employee who I believe is deaf, and has given me great service on two occasions now this week. He seems very happy and willing to help. Now a days people seem to only write negative reviews but I think this deserves acknowledgement. Many people complain they can't find work or they just don't want to work. This person was smiling helpful and gave a thumbs up after he finished helping me, making sure everything was okay. Went here today just to drop an envelope. I wanted a glue stick to paste a passport picture. What kind of a UPS store doesn't even have one? The old guy here is very rude. He doesn't even listen properly to what the customer is talking. I told him that I should not even have come here. All the others who were in the store repeated what I said. Went here to drop off a return package to amazon. Asked for a receipt and was told receipts are not given, per store policy. I asked how I would prove that I had shipped it in the event the package gets lost in transit, response was "sorry, we can't give out any receipts ". So of course I took my package and said good day! I can only surmise that such a policy exists is to allow the manager or owner to steal certain packages and get away with it. I went in yesterday to return some items to Amazon. My home printer broke down so I needed to print the label at The UPS Store. There was only one worker on a Saturday morning named (I learned at a later time) Damien. There was a elderly man in front of me that needed assistance with printing a label as well and another person waiting while there was a bunch of people coming in dropping off their packages along with another UPS driver dropping off packages. He showed me how to print my label and then I stood in line and the line kept growing while I waited. The entire time Damien kept his cool with all the commotion and the lines grew longer and longer. When I got to the front ... I acknowledged the pressure he was under and how well he was handling everything. Kudos to Damien for having a good attitude even under all the pressure! As a former employee at this ups store, I can honestly say the work itself was good experience to add on a resume. The worst part about working here would be the owner/manager Ron. Since day one he was always micro-managing my every move. Being a business major, rule number one for a manager is to never micro-manage your employees! The problem(s) that I had about working here all had to do with Ron. He has very poor management, customer service skills, and very little patience. It seemed as almost every time he was in the store, he would have bad attitude towards customers (such as previous reviews mentioning about him getting angry about drop off receipts). Receipts are free, ups supplies him with the FREE receipt paper. There is no need to start a huge argument over a piece of paper. For the little amount of time I was there, there were about 5 claims filed for lost packages due to the fact that he doesn't hand out receipts. And when the customers would come into the store or call in looking for him he would always be shady and give them the run around or tell me to take a message, because he didn't want to write them checks for the lost packages. While he was training me, Ron would also yell at me for every little thing that I didn't do his way, such as twist my wrist downwards instead of upwards when using the tape gun. This review doesn't do any justice, I can honestly go on and on about how poorly run this store is, and honestly I do not recommend anyone should continue doing business here. Ron is a terrible boss and most importantly he's greedy, shady, and rude towards his customers that come into his store. UPS is being given a bad name due to this owner and they should really look into who they franchise with. read more

Came into the UPS store today to pick up an order I had shipped to the store & when I got there MIKE helped me , he didn't speak to me till he pointed to His ear indicating he was hearing impaired he made me write down my question so I did, he helped me right away with a smile on his face ! I am not sure why there are so many negative reviews. I come here all the time to return my Amazon packages and every single time the guys have been helpful. Even though I come here often, I finally decided to write a review because of how exceptional the service was when I came here on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving Day. I had a package to return and thought I had packing tape in the car, but it appeared that I did not. I went in there and asked if they could provide me with some tape and the associates were more than happy to oblige. Mike even offered to cut the label and tape up the box for me.
