If I could leave a zero I would. I watched a male employee of this business yell at a young woman at the the store trying to drop something off. I try to mind my own business but was blown away at how rude the employee was. I guess scanning a box label is super stressful and customer service doesn't exist anymore. I left the store and will start using one further away. After looking this place up I now realize how bad the reviews are for this place. It's around the curve so was easy to use. Maybe they can provide training to their employees on how to intact with the public. Guy was a total (insert expletives here). Can't pick when you want to be nice or with certain people. read more

If you can use the postal service or another UPS location I recommend doing so. The post office will give you some tape if you need to seal a package. This is a packaging and shipping store but for some reason won't help you seal a package. They do have a huge selection of tape that's way overpriced. I wish I'd gone to another location but I bought the tape, that I didn't need, and sealed the bag with one strip of tape. read more

Just an update, I NEVER mentioned this but I am DISABLED. I have rods a screws in my back and had 3 major back surgeries, and he saw that I needed help and STILL wouldn't allow me to put the box together after I paid for it. Pros: I've used this store for drop-off shipping and had no problems with that. I've also returned telecom equipment (AT&T gateways, etc.) and they're good for that. Cons: I had to ship some items to a client. I looked at doing a self-ship, and got a sense for the costs, but given the value of the items I wanted to be careful so I went to the store. The owner quoted me more than double the self-ship rates. I didn't have time to go back and create a self-ship, so I went ahead and just passed the cost along to the client, so no money out of my pocket. I checked with UPS and they said that stores are free to set their own rates. Knowing this, I won't be using this store for anything I'm paying for myself. Also: I found the owner's demeanor unpleasant; he didn't make the process easy, was at times abrupt and condescending, and in general acted like I was annoying him with my business. I get that he likely deals with a ton of people every day who want tape, labels, etc. for free. I also get that it's expensive to lease a storefront in Willow Glen, but I don't think this justifies the way he acted towards me. I was nothing but polite to him, and I paid his inflated rates without too many questions. read more

Can't even give this horrible facility a 1 star but it looks like I have to give something. Went in on Tuesday August 23 at 12:45 pm to overnight a laptop to Santa Monica at a cost of $120. I have copies of receipt and photos of the label created indicating it was overnight delivery and was told it would be there on Wednesday August 24 at 10:30 am. It's now Thursday, August 25 and the laptop arrived at 10:30 am. I went in for a refund as it didn't arrive when I was told it would. They told me no refund as the label was created at 5:45 and pick up had already gone out and therefor laptop did go out on Wednesday for an overnight arrival of today. As I continued to tell them that is not my issue and I brought it in at 12:45 why wasn't I told that it wouldn't go out until the next day? I never would have paid for that. The woman helping me has a language barrier they tell me. I still said I want a refund as you didn't honor what you told me. They refused and therefore I told them that is horrible customer service. I will never use their services again- they didn't offer anything-not even an apology. Horrible service read more

No wonder this location has such a low rating. Came in today to print a label and return a package and was "helped" by a very rude and unprofessional assistant who had no customer service skills. Was told I had to pay cash which shocked me (are we in 2023?) instead of explaining that there was a minimum for a credit card payment. She then printed my label where the name was cut of due to incorrect print settings and made a few rude comments in the end. Really hope the employees go through some kind of customer service training here. read more

I ordered online printing from upsstoreprintshop.com . I was directed to the UPS store at 1702 Meridian Av for next day print order pickup. Upon arrival with a paper order number document, the order was not there and no record. Printing was said to be not available due to malfunction and store could not help with a simple color print job. Service was terrible. Won't use again. read more

I've shipped things from here before, and my experiences have been mixed, but unfortunately, predominantly on the negative side. There are helpful clerks, but the one that I assume is either the managing clerk or at least acts like he is, can be dismissive, bossy and unpleasant, especially if he had a customer hiss at him earlier, but listen, buddy - you need to reign your emotions in somewhat. It isn't the following customer that is at fault for the difficult customer you just had, separate the two and don't take your day out on anyone. There's no need to bark at a kid who is quietly looking at cards (not touching them, just spinning the shelf) and certainly no need to give out orders on how to proceed without hearing your customer out first, you work at UPS - that's pretty much what you're here to do, to stand behind the counter, answer questions about shipping and cost, and handle the packages. No need to attempt to skip anything, do what people ask, and be nice about it, pretty basic. read more

If I could give this store ZERO stars I would. I walked in with my own box to send to jars and a picture. I asked Andrea to provide an UPS envelope for the picture and she said she had to sell me an envelope and she wouldn't give me a UPS envelope unless I was sending something overnight or 2 day air. I said I was sending the whole box overnight or 2 day air but not the envelope itself. She was EATING through this whole transaction with her mouth open. Plus she is rude and shouldn't be in charge or customer-facing whatsoever. Gene Lee should not have her working front office at all. We told her we were taking our business else where where we weren't treated so rudely. She told us we are stuck up and yelled get out. We bring ALL our business here, but I'm switching to FedEx or USPS where we are treated with respect. So much for a 10 year for a 10 year business relationship. If there was less than one star I'd give one. Here is my experience. I went to return a pair of shoes. The company uses ups and directs you to go to the ups store to mail returns. I had the electronic label on my iphone. The gentleman behind the register told me I would need to go on the computer for a minimum of $2 and print the label. I also told him i couldn't use the original box the shipment came in because they were other items so the box was too big for just a pair shoes. He told me I would have to purchase a box and tape too. I was flabbergasted. I said the shoe company uses ups exclusively yet what a hassle. I had to return shoes and used another ups store in emeryville. The person was helpful and signed me on the computer for free and then allowed me to email her the label which she printed out. Won't be going back to this ups store. Horrible service. read more

This will be actually my first review that I give to someone because of the poor poor service and out rages prices and lack of knowledge of their own business. Last week my mother and my sister and myself went to get papers notarized and after spending some time there he said he could not do it because it wouldn't be legal. He is unaware of the facts and does not understand notarization. We left and went to UPS in downtown San Jose and the documents were immediately notarized then on Monday we took them to the courthouse who verified them and sent them off. Today I attempt to go to this location again to have papers scanned and email and he quotes me two dollars per page. Out rages take your documents to office depot/OfficeMax on Hamilton and Bascom and it is only $.25 per page. I understand some places may be a little more expensive but this man just quotes prices out of his head. While was there two other customers walked out after being quoted ridiculous prices. This would be one star but they're open on Sundays so they deserve a bonus for that. I'm in town on a business trip and had 3 Amazon returns before flying home. I was stunned, absolutely stunned when I was told "it will be $2 to put tape on these unless you have your own." Seriously?!?! If I had the time (before my flight) I would have gone to a store, bought tape, and shipped from a different location. I wouldn't have been so thrown off by this $2 charge except that I had spent the previous three days shipping boxes from a UPS store in Redwood City. The experience there was so helpful and amazing that I was completely caught off guard when coming here. And yes...I had multiple boxes that required being taped and not a penny was charged. Only a smile. I understand all of these stores are privately operated, so I hope the owner takes note that a few dollars here can lead to hundreds of dollars lost later. I spent $120 shipping from the Redwood location. If I had been charged $2 to tape each box I wouldn't have returned. They would have lost $120 to gain $12 in tape. read more

Yeah, it is not a bandwagon thing but a lack of customer service in this store that gives them a rating of 1 star. If I could rate them lower, it's sad to say I would. For starters, the UPS truck was taking up three parking spaces in the lot at the peak time of 6:00 pm. Three spaces are just excessive and to add insult to injury he was Blasting a Presidential rally speech from his truck as he was loading it. When in a public place we should all use headphones regardless of what we choose to listen to while working. I had a total of three separate Amazon returns. The staff member that waited on me, proceed to complain to me how Amazon returns are a pain to process but ......it's money for the store. Out of the three packages, I had one printed label and two emails with the scan codes. The staff member went on to tell me that I should have taken screenshots of the scan codes instead of looking them up in email on my phone. Good suggestion despite the fact that I already had one scan code saved on my phone. Sorry, Not Sorry I'm not into decoding several scan codes in a day when the emails include a picture of the items being returned to be matched with the return code you are using. You know, it's straight forward with no room for error. He took the one box with the printed label and passed me off to the owner to process the ones that need to be scanned. On a good note, he walked my big box outside and gave it to the UPS guy taking up the three parking spaces, blasting a motivational speech by the POTUS while working without headphones, so it would immediately start its journey, and he could head home for the evening. At this point, I pulled up one of the items for scan in an email on my phone, showed it to the Owner for scan and walked away with the other package. I will simply hit up another UPS store. In a crunch with only one item to ship or return, and absolutely no need for Customer service I still would not suggest or recommend you use this location for your UPS needs. read more

Having used this store a half dozen times in the past few years I'd become accustomed to the non existent customer service, incredible lack of consideration, long wait times, bring your own supplies, understaffed experience at this shoddy location - however yesterday it exceeded my worst expectations!!! Knowing I needed my own tape, (vs buy a strip for 2bucks) I brought it with me, knowing I needed to print my own prepaid UPS label (vs print it there for 4bucks) I brought that too - lo and behold they seem to up the ante of discouraging anyone from utilizing this store by not offering nor having on site any (as in zero/they don't carry them) UPS shipment bags. I was advised by the super grumpy employee to visit the UPS hub for a UPS shipping bag or naturally I'm welcome to purchase a bag on site for 4.99 (non UPS bag) Keep in mind I'm already paying UPS for the shipment with my prepaid label. I'm not asking for anything other than official UPS packaging (which I think should be supplied when you are paying for UPS to ship items) Its 2020! How can a UPS store literally not carry UPS packaging? Hell, knowing how this store operates I would most likely consider buying the gd UPS bag. Needless to say I left and will never return, will additionally email UPS corporate plus as my community service, I'm mouthy so I'll advise anyone & everyone of what kind of experience they're in for at this location. If I could give negative stars I would! I went in to ship a handful of amazon returns - only one of which didn't have a label (because my printer started acting up at home). The guy wanted to charge me $4 to print out the one sheet of paper / label! IS HE OUT OF HIS MIND?!? I don't mind charging something so that lazy/cheap people don't just come in and take advantage of your supplies, but $4 is outrageous! I won't be ripped off. You can keep your sheet of paper.
