Not a good experience at all when I went to get a printout. Their copiers weren't working to print a PDF from my thumb drive. So because the attendant opened my one-page document on a computer to print my black/white page, I was going to be charged $2.50. When questioned, he dropped it down to $1. Thanks guy. It takes a lot for me to leave a negative review, but bad service and incompetence sometimes makes it necessary. I've been coming here for a while and had put up with less than stellar service because the location was convenient. Today, August 13,2018 was the last straw and I won't be back. I called early in the day to ask about notary service. The first time the phone rang 10+ times and never picked up. I called again a few minutes later and got a young man answered and a brief, but specific conversation ensued: Me: Do you offer Notary service? Him: Yes we do. Me: Do I need to make an appointment, or are they there full time? Him: No, come in anytime. Me: What time do you close today? Him: 7:30 I had a document that needed to be signed by both my husband and myself, and notarized. It's a little difficult with our separate schedules to get to someplace like a notary together, on a weeknight. But we met there at 5:30. We walked in, the only customers in the place. Young man slowly emerges from the back, looks at us, dials his cellphone, and asks if he can help us while he puts his phone to his ear. WTF? "Notary service" I say. Guess what? "Oh, he's left for the day." Is the response. Not using any curse words at all, I explained that I had called earlier and was told that anytime would be fine to come in for Notary service. "Oh no, he normally leaves around 5." He said, derisively. And that was that. No apology, no trying to figure out the source of the bad information, nothing. Terrible and steal packages. I dropped off 2 - 24" monitors to be returned to amazon and magically disappeared. After 2 weeks and wondering where my amazon refund is at, I contact vendor about my refund and vendor informs me that package hasn't been shipped with the tracking only showing "shipping label created" i went to store to show them the receipt, email with label that I sent TO THE STORE to print and put on the package. Manager said I had to contact amazon. Amazon rejected claim and I called UPS support and rejected claim also. Finally amazon gave me credit for the refund as I mentioned to them, I don't know what more I could've done to make sure package reached UPS. #UPS read more

I had an amazon product I needed to return which had the pre-paid shipping label and I was instructed to drop it off at ANY UPS location. I came by this UPS store and was told that it was too big and I needed to pay extra for something that was already boxed up properly and had a prepaid label on it. I was charged $5 additional and when I looked at the receipt it said "packing service". Again, this was packaged in the amazon box that it came in juat fine and it was taped up everywhere so what's this service for? Always check and make sure he give you a full copy of the back side one he can always print out another one for his so call records. I had been using this location for years, because it was so close to home, but the quality of service, as well as the fact that they charge about 4x what the USPS does, has made it unacceptable. The last few times I've been in there, the service has been terrible and seemingly ignorant of any part of the procedures. I don't understand why this store has so many bad reviews. I just came home from my second pleasant visit to this store dropping off an item from Amazon I wanted to return. I arrived less than 20 minutes before the store closed, I did not seal my package with tape, and I did not cut and attach the return slip like Amazon had instructed me to. I was still in and out with my drop-off package receipt in what seemed like less than a minute. Also, no extra fees that people keep seemingly getting charged for. read more

I've come here a couple of times to drop off packages and it always seemed like the normal trip. Recently, I started dropping off heavier packages (over 25 lbs) with pre-paid labels. I was recently informed that there are now handling fees that the owner charges in the store of about 6 dollars per box over 25 lbs. I was told that since the UPS store is a chain, this is the owners call, and they can implement price increases for a designated location. I for one will not be dropping off any packages at this location, especially when I can just call a UPS truck to pick up packages from my home and get charged the same rate, or take it to the Sylmar location where I won't get charged at all. The owner of this store is a crook. On February 20018 a letter that needs to be sent out before a deadline was sent for an overnight $20. It was Monday. Checked tracking and found out that it arrived at the destination on Friday! It took four days from a sunland facility to Santa Ana California. Now March 25 2018. Prepaid amazon return was being dropped off and he told me next time he will charge me $5 for shipping cost!! It's PRE-PAID! Manager is a crook. This business needs to be reported to BBB. They were knowledgeable about differing shipping scenarios like freight vs. normal shipping, the costs and the timelines. I feel that I was able to make the best choice for myself. I paid $254 bucks to expedite a small parcel to the UK, a present for my brother, a painting and i busted my ass to get finished in time for christmas. i paid the most expensive service to ensure that it would drop on christmas day. they received it 2nd January!!! and they had to pay and additional $80 for their own present. and i have been chasing them ever since, they dont return their calls, they dont seem to take ownership of their customers concerns. they seem happy enough to take the money and neglected to inform me of the necessary paperwork that a parcel requires when entering into another country. which you would imagine being a worldwide operation that they would have some knowledge of this 'dark art' of mailing to other countries. i used the American postal service previously and for a similar sized package...$39 dollars and arrived 4 days later. The girl cashier doesn't pay attention when you walk in and just tells you to drop off the boxes. I took two boxes of shoes that I needed to send back one was an exchange and the other a return. I clearly told the girl to put both in separate boxes and now turns out the exchange shoes are lost. Seriously what a joke and how unprofessional. They often close early, just posting a note on the door. Recently, this ruined a package of medicine that I needed urgently for a pet! The day before, we had asked how late they were open, but they closed hours early. The cold packs in the package did not hold out. Fortunately, we found the medicine elsewhere, but we had to reorder $250 of ruined vaccines! They gave us 4 months free, which is worth only half that. The worst UPS location. I called in the morning to get 200 pages printed and they said no problem that I could email the PDF file. I called back a couple of times to see if it was received and no one was answering. I tried again several hours later and finally an answer. UPS is not worthy of anyone's business. They have no regard whatsoever for their customers. If you are a person with no job or life and you are able to be home all day long, then you will have no trouble receiving your package. If you have a job and a life and are not able to be home during the day, then you have very little chance of receiving your packages from them. I once had a package delivered to me when I was not home so I went to their store to pick it up and they told me that it was sent back. Other times I have had packages stolen because the idiot driver just left it sitting outside my door. Then, when you report it stolen, they accuse you of being a fraud. Horrible service by Juan, the manager. I was pre-occupied with a call, and I dropped off my books to send back and I usually am asked if I want a receipt, and Juan stated, "just place your package there" and I walked out. When I got home I called the store, spoke to Juan who told me "Why didn't I ask for a reciept, and then told me good luck getting back to his store before he closes at 7pm. To his surprise I arrived at his store and I informed him that I should not have to ask for a receipt, as a representative of Brown (UPS) you should automatically ask the customer if they want a receipt or not. I asked for his district manager telephone number and Juan replied, "we're franchised". I replied great, let me have the owner's number and name as I handed him their UPS card. He wrote down Hani F on the card and said he be in on Monday. As for my receipt he said that his driver already collect my package and it's on the truck and it doesn't get scanned until it get to the UPS Hub, like all the packages do. I replied, "So you have no record that I gave you my package and you can't confirm that none of the packages that I see lying on your floor are mine; and your telling me that it could be on truck and but it also could be lying around on the floor? Juan didn't know how to answer that question and I couldn't believe this is a manager, Juan, and this is how he speaks to customers. I drove back to your office to obtain a receipt and to confront you on hanging up on me and telling me "good luck", and now all you can say is "I should have asked for a receipt". I believe the Juan should be coached and written up for his lack of customer service skills. read more

My Aunt had them pack up a item that was valuable and fragile . Well the item got broke in shipment due to not using the a big enough box to protect the item and not enough packing. She filed a claim and the process started about a week later I received a call from east coast UPS to start the claim and send they wanted pictures. Pictures sent no word whether received or not and the number they gave me was to the Ca. Store opposite side of where the pics were sent. After another week I called the Sun Valley Ca UPS store and spoke to Karina she requested I send her the pics and she would handle it. She let me know the pics were recieved and that the claim was being processed and we should hear back in 4-5 days . Waiting final results but thanks to Karina we stopped getting the run around. read more
