Hooray! My Contractor LEFT my dryer sitting in the middle of the floor with a ripped and shredded vent on a Friday night so in the way that I couldn't shut my laundry door or fit through the side door which is our main entryway into our house. These guys are real pros: professional, courteous, efficient, careful, conscientious... and startlingly fast. Highly recommended. They were in and out in between an hour and 90 minutes. They made sure I moved anything breakable near where they were going to work before they started. I'm a bit mystified by a number of these reviews because my experience was nothing stellar. I called the 800 number and was greeted by a somewhat brusque gentleman who said he was the owner and that his company was a family-fun business, a point he indicated with pride. I didn't find him particularly friendly or chatty or talkative, as I would expect a family-run business to be, in order to bring in new customers. Other reviewers mentioned "arriving on time" and so I expected a specific time. Instead, I was given a time window of two hours, 9-11 AM. In my experience with time windows, the workers generally show up near the end. I had expected that perhaps the owner would phone me to let me know when to expect the workers; I guess I expected too much. I had to call after 10 AM to find out whether I might still be on the schedule. When the guy called at my door, I was expecting the owner's sons, who do the legwork. I didn't actually catch the name of the guy who came, but he seemed to indicate that the owner's sons were on another call. Okay, I thought. He didn't know my name or greet me by name. It seemed that he just had a job to do. One of the early reviews mentioned cleaning the vents just from the outside. He looked at me as if I were crazy. He said that he had to unplug the dryer from the vent and attach the blower to push the lint out. The job was adequate. I had very little lint and debris in the dryer vent. read more

Had a cleaning service scheduled through our HOA for the whole complex and was not satisfied with there service and their response when questioned. They charged full amount and did partial cleaning service. They did not clean the booster fan nor did they mentioned about it. Immediate a month later had booster fan failed. When questioned they said I need to book a new service which costed me the whole amount and I had to pay twice. Overall not satisfied with their Customer relations. read more

My dryer was taking 90+ minutes to dry a medium load. A friend recommended The Vent Cleaner after it was determined that the vent was clogged. The crew arrived right on time, were courteous and professional, and had the job completed in 15 minutes. I just did a medium load of laundry (yes, I was curious how the dryer would do) and my clothes were dry in 22 minutes! Awesome. Great job, The Vent Cleaner. Unbelievably professional! They cleaned my dryer vents and even made some fixes to my dryer so it would rattle less. They also found a number of issues on the roof that needed immediate attention. After 5 years I thought our dinosaur of a dryer has finally broke down and I thought for sure that our home repair insurance would replace it with a new one but when the repair guy came out to inspect it I was shocked to learn that there is nothing wrong with our dryer but instead the problem was our dryer vent was clogged so there was no where for the moisture to be released thus causing the dryer to not dry the clothes. I found The Vent Cleaner on yelp and decided to go with them because of the great reviews and reasonable pricing. I even got a few of our neighbors to clean theirs so we can take advantage of their group discount. They came at the time I was told they would come, was quick and did a great job! I was blown away and very embarrassed as to how much lint and gunk they cleared from our vent. They were surprised our house hasn't burned down yet as it was a big fire hazard. Being first time homeowners we didn't know any better but now that we are educated thanks to these guys we will definitely be calling them back for regular cleaning! Our dryer works better than before and dries our clothes in 10 minutes vs. 10 days and I can sleep better knowing my house will not burn down everytime I run the dryer. Wonderful service. They called because running ahead of schedule and asked if it would be convenient to come earlier. They cleaned my dryer vent and all duct work. It has made a huge difference. Now I can turn on the air, fan, heat, and don't see a layer of dust on everything. They also inspected the furnace, which was fine. They laid down covering over my hardwood floors and cleaned up after. Professional, honest, hardworking, very nice. They charge a fair price and don't try to up sell. Josh and his two man crew who came to our house was early, professional and gave a very good impression he was doing a good job, in fact I gave them a nice $tip to prove my gratitude. After they left I noticed the exhaust vent in a bathroom was not vacuumed and was very clogged. No doubt when the crew was here they would have completed the job and cleaned this vent. I called back and was again forced to speak with the owner who is very uneducated in customer service as has been noted by others. He demands either cash or a check and goes overboard on how he will not accept credit cards, OK alright I got it. Then he tells me that he originally quoted only HVAC vents not bathroom vents and it would cost me another $100 for another service call to complete the job. All I remember when I originally scheduled the appointment is "we clean every duct" yet they found a way to not do so. I understand disagreements and that each side may have it's own version but the ranting, unprofessional attitude of this owner who wouldn't let me explain my concerns and rather talked over me constantly has clouded this company's reputation. I asked to speak with Josh and was told he doesn't talk to customers, was injured and would not get a message to call me back. This owner acts like because he bought a big vacuum vent cleaner he can treat his customers like they are way beneath him, a huge mistake. Don't use The Vent Cleaner, it's not worth the hassle of dealing with this monster of an owner, there are other companies who will do the job and not give their customers, the lifeblood of their business, the disrespect this guy did and he appears to be the only one who will take your order. read more

We had a problem that we determined was the vent going from the dryer to the outside of the house. I gave them a call and he called back 45 minutes later saying he could get someone out there that afternoon, and it was a Sunday!
