The Woods has a cozy and rustic vibe that makes it a nice spot to grab drinks with friends. The atmosphere feels warm and inviting, and the lighting really adds to the mood. Service was good and the staff was friendly, but overall I felt like the drinks could have been a bit more impressive for the price. It's still a great place if you're looking for a relaxed night out with a chill ambiance. I enjoyed my time here, though I'd probably come back more for the atmosphere than the drinks themselves.

TCM Classic Film Festival Fans at The Woods!

Had a meet up with friends before the TCM Classic Film Festival in Hollywood... They put the cable channel TCM on while we were there ... It has a great Mid Century look and feel... Great ambiance! Good drinks... We all had a great time... Fun way to start our Festival Week!! Cheers~

We found our new favorite craft cocktail joint! Excellent service and a very warm, fun vibe! The house specialty cocktails are off the charts. But, they have an incredible liquor selection and can mix up anything your hipster heart could desire!

This place is really cute and fun. They have karaoke and comedy shows. Pricing is good too. Love that they have a shot of the day.

A very cool bar located very close to Hollywood boulevard. It really does feel like you are in the woods, there are stars on the ceilings and the walls are all wood. They were also playing Jurassic park in the back on a big screen. My friends and I only got one drink here, but it was also really good. If you're looking for something a little of the beaten path, this is the place.

Such an interesting spot to tuck it, above the Tail O' the Pup, and the building where the 'Doors' recorded their last studio album (LA Lady). Make your reservation online and don't be late because the clock starts at the time you chose and you will be informed when you get there late that that will be subtracted from your time at the end. They are obviously popular due to social media and it's not a huge place so they have to move people in and out, so just don't be late. The staff was uber-pleasant and personable, yet professional and expeditious. I didn't try any food, but the drinks were very tasty. They also have a small outside veranda if you prefer to sit out there. I was very pleased by my experience at the Lucky Tiki!

It's usually reservation only but I called ahead to see if they had availability for us to pop in and luckily they had room for us. Everyone here is so friendly and seems to love what they do. Our bartender was Shane and he was wonderful and really made our experience memorable. Zeke was the other bartender who was great as well. We ordered a Painkiller and a Captain's Inner Circle. Each drink comes in its own unique cup/glass and has such a fun presentation. The painkiller was presented to us with some fire elements and the captain's inner circle was hilarious - they ring a bell and all the workers join in on saying you're a part of the inner circle. Now the taste. Both of the drinks were delicious! We love a painkiller and this one definitely didn't disappoint, it totally hit the spot. I also loved the inner circle drink, it was coconutty and had fruity elements like apricot in it. There are so many drinks on their menu, we wish we could try them all! We'll have to come back next time to try more. They also have food but we didn't have time to try any dishes this time.

It's the kind of place where you can take your time exploring different pours rather than rushing through drinks. The selection is impressive, ranging from familiar labels to smaller distilleries you don't see everywhere. The bartender was clearly passionate about the craft and offered a couple of suggestions based on what I usually enjoy. I tried a whiskey I hadn't heard of before, and it turned out to be a great recommendation with a smooth, layered flavor. What I liked most was the atmosphere. It felt social without being overwhelming, making it easy to have a conversation or simply sit back and enjoy the drink. The crowd seemed like a mix of locals and people who genuinely appreciate good spirits. The Phoenix stands out as a spot where whiskey takes center stage, but the environment remains welcoming and unpretentious. Echoing what everyone else has been saying - the service is SO slow. It was about 45 minutes before we were able to order our second drink and our water glasses were empty. The server was saying he was trying to find a manager to help out but they were nowhere to be found. Clearly management is fine with these service times since they're still making $$$. The drinks were delicious, and I loved that there were heaters on the patio (though they did get very hot at times). Our server was so kind and brought us a celebratory drink. I do wish there were more explanations with the beverages, especially for the Paid Vacation as most people will not realize you're supposed to bite into the buzz button for the tingly sensation. I would come back, but need some time for my wallet to recover first, haha!

It had Tequila, Yuzu, Lychee, Passionfruit, topped with a Hibiscus Mezcal Float and a piece of Rainbow Sour Candy. It was refreshing, delicious, and absolutely gorgeous! 2) the Cosmopolitan: made with Grey Goose Vodka, Pierre Ferrand Dry Curaçao, and cranberry. It was pretty tasty, not exactly like a traditional Cosmo and had a bit of a bite to it, but good enough that I got two. My friend and I shared the guacamole which was a pretty decently sized portion and came with a big basket of chips. We also got the Weho Choco Tacos and they were delectable! It's a bit pricey with drinks ranging from $22-$26, but that's to be expected in Weho and especially on Sunset Boulevard. Just something to keep in mind. The crowd was also so nice! We made friends with the couple sitting next to us and watched the end of the NBA finals together on one of their phones. I also met some nice girls in the bathroom and we had a long conversation about the best clothes to pack for a trip to Europe. Everyone was there to have a good time and it showed!

Started with drinks and, honestly, can't remember what everyone ordered. I got a Desert Quench which has a tequila base and flavors of bergamot, lime, raspberry and mango. Tasted great, no complaints. For food, we started with the bone marrow and meatballs. The bone marrow was like most bone marrow, you now what you're going to get, while the meatballs were underwhelming. They didn't look appealing in terms of color and flavor was lacking. Entrees, we each tried something different. The steak frites was cooked to order but really didn't set itself apart from other frites. The trout was cooked well, and seasoned nicely, but the purple cauliflower puree, for me, didn't come together in terms of presentation for the dish. The pistachio pesto pasta was very flavorful, mixing in the burrata on top and then the little pops of spice from the chili flakes.. Just a nice bite. Finally was the double wagyu burger with caramelized onions, American cheese and a sauce emulsified with bacon. Very tasty, and those caramelized onions just added another level to each bite. Overall, nice spot in WeHo serving up some tasty cocktails and decent food. Definitely get the pistachio pesto and double wagyu burger, but you can skip the bone marrow, meatballs, frites and trout.
