If you're on Fremont street and looking for a restaurant, you have to stop by Therapy for food! It's so, so, so insanely good! Like - damn. Plus the place turns into a. Nightclub at night called Relapse, so just for that smart name change I'd say this place deserves a visit. We were here Saturday for brunch - got here around 11 am, didn't have reservations but were able to get in right away and were seated at a booth, which was perfect seating for 5 people (large enough for sure). I didn't take a photo of the menu but every option on the brunch menu sounded absolutely amazing and it was really hard to choose from! Our table ordered the grilled cheese, red velvet chicken sliders, and French toast. Apparently the red velvet chicken sliders have been featured on the Travel Channel so feel free to check it out! We didn't have any drinks though looked like they had 18$ bottomless mimosas, which truly is a deal hard to beat. All food items were reasonably priced, especially considering the size of the dishes. They were a steal compared to options at the street both in terms of quality and quantity! I had a chance to try the grilled cheese and French toast. And like I said... DAYUM. The grilled cheese was stuffed with lobster and crab meat and the brioche bread was so tasty and had the perfect texture. Trust me when I say they didn't cut corners from the meat in this sandwich. It's absolutely delicious. The entire table could smell the lobster and crab meat coming off from the dish! I actually only ended up eating half and giving the other half to husband and was super full (and I can eat!) The fries were just normal fries, they tasted good though and weren't too oily. My husband had the French toast which I unfortunately don't have a photo of, but I personally really enjoyed this dish as well. It had the perfect balance and wasn't overly sweet. Like it actually did not make you feel like you're about to get diagnosed with diabetes, which I feel like is usually an issue with French toast since a lot of restaurants overdo it with sauces on top. If you're in the mood for something sweet, I'd recommend this item from the menu! It has bananas, pastry cream and is overall super satisfying. Oh and there was a live DJ there during our brunch! You could tell when the clock hits noon when the base drops lol. They definitely have a very good sound system and we're playing great songs the whole time, which adds to the entire experience! Some things have changed since I was here three years ago not too long after the restaurant opened. I had a talk at the Mob Museum later in the evening so I came here for dinner first. The restaurant was empty and the hostess said I could sit anywhere I wanted. I chose a two top near the front on the raised area with a view to Fremont Street to enjoy watching tourists. I was given the menu when I was seated and my server soon came and asked about a drink. Ordering my standard iced tea, I kept looking over the menu. She brought my iced tea and I was ready to order. I opted for the Ricky Ricardo--Therapy's take on a Cuban sandwich. I also ordered truffle parmesan fries. After the server left, I realized she had not left any sweetener for the iced tea. Seated the way I was, I tried to turn around to see if I could get her attention. No success. When she brought my sandwich about 10 minutes later, I was then able to ask for artificial sweetener. There was a couple in the restaurant now so there were three people there. The sandwich was good tasting but calling it "Therapy's Signature Cuban" is to do disservice to Cuban sandwiches. There was a lot of pork, a thin slice of ham on the bottom, and a lot of Swiss cheese on bread that wasn't toasted like a real Cuban. The house made pickles were on the side along with some pickled sweet yellow pepper rings. This would be better named a pork Philly cheesesteak because that's the kind of sandwich it is. The fries were crispy and the fine strands of parmesan gave them some nice flavor. I decided to have dessert. There was one new item since I was there and I ordered it--chocolate bread pudding. It's a dessert I only rarely get. I'm not a fan of warm desserts but I gave it a chance. This was the best part of the meal. Topped with caramelized banana slices, banana sorbet, and Therapy smoke wagon whiskey salted caramel, the dessert was good tasting. There was also an amount of a finely ground mixture along the edge of one side of the bread pudding that was a nice counterpoint to the softness of the bread. Prices are more like Strip prices, not Fremont East District pricing. I would have been better off going a block south to Carson Street. read more

It's hard to give the place anything more than 1 star given that the music was obscenely loud during brunch on a Sunday morning. We literally had to yell at each other and our server because of the music. But the worst part was the "DJ" who sounded like he was working at a strip club. It's a joke, but no one is laughing. Got here last night for our friend bday. The restaurant has two level so if you have a big group, more than likely you will be sitting upstairs. However, all the activities are downstairs with the bar and everything. The restaurant has relatively dark lighting so it was a little hard to see. We had lunch here last Friday. They couldn't sit us a table so we sat at the bar. Our waiter was also the bartender and he was great! He seemed to be the only bartender so he had his hands full but he made it work. My friend ordered a burger with no cheese. Her burger came with cheese and the bartender was apologetic and immediately ordered her another one. When her burger was ready, a woman brings it out (possibly the owner?) and proceeds to say (on repeat) "here you go, for the picky eater. Here you go, for the picky eater, the picky eater". Why is that comment needed? She has no idea the person might have a dietary restriction or something else. It really pissed a lot of us off and we spent good money there. Therapy is the best eatery to visit in Las Vegas Downtown! It is located on Freemont St. It has lively music, great food/drinks, and phenomenal service! I took my family (a family of four), and we enjoyed every minute. They have a wide range of choices for food and beverages, and I recommended the Tator Tot Chicken and Waffle for brunch! We lucked out with the timing of our visit, catching DJ Morganelli in action. His energetic performance and expert mixes added an extra layer of excitement to our brunch. They had a twerk contest mid Sunday brunch and one of the servers/hosts/bus boys asked me & my best friend if we wanted to participate umm no thank you. After scrambling to find a place in downtown Las Vegas, I finally settled on Therapy, as it seemed to have the widest array of food options for my group of 4. We were seated upstairs relatively quickly, but the area upstairs feels kinda cut off from the rest of the restaurant. The downstairs dining section is very open and bright while the upstairs felt kind of intimate and packed; the ambiance certainly felt different upstairs. We ordered 4 items off the menu: Red Velvet Chicken and Waffles, Charred Brussel Sprouts, Chorizo Empanadas, and the Filet Tartare. I would say that the best dish was the Brussel sprouts. They had a nice flavor but were a bit softer than advertised: the crunchiness of the cashews helped to make up for this. The red velvet waffles were certainly an eye-catcher and make for a cool photo, but taste-wise, these chicken and waffles felt like a very standard interpretation of the dish. Somewhat difficult to eat I will admit, as gripping a waffle is very different than gripping a bun, but I like the creativity of using the waffle differently! I wasn't a fan of the batard bread that the filet tartare came with, as it was somewhat tough to chew. The chorizo empanadas were average, nothing necessarily bad or great about them. Our service was a little disappointing, as it took quite a while for our dishes to come out. Considering the size of the plates, I was surprised by the total amount of time it took to have them sent out from the kitchen. I think there are definitely some solid plates to be had at Therapy, but my overall experience didn't match the expectations I had. I think it's a place worth giving a try though, as downtown Las Vegas needs some places that can match the excitement of the dining options on the strip. read more

The only complaint that I have is that even though our server came to our table often, to talk with us and/or check on us, not once during the whole time we were there did she mention that the gratuity was included in our bill. Granted yes I should've looked through the entire receipt but I would've appreciated if she had stated the fact that all she needed was a signature since the tip was already added. We thought the total seemed pretty steep at $131 just for the two of us but we didn't think to look over the receipt, (it was obviously pretty dark in there anyway), but we've never heard of gratuity being included on a party of two, nor were we informed beforehand that the tip was included. Therefore, on top of the tip already being included, we left an additional cash tip. It's so upsetting to know that we left a $48 tip in total on a bill that should've just been about $112. I'm back to update my previous review because despite our first experience (which was admittedly exasperated by a bit of wedding stress,) the location makes it a really great option for us so we've returned several times since then and have had nothing but stellar service, great drinks and absolutely amazing food. On more than one occasion we had a semi-particular eater in the group and the server was incredibly kind and helpful. You will not regret the bottomless sangria, if for nothing other than a cost friendly way to try the various flavors. And do yourself a favor and get the brussel sprouts!! I will add that there is a bit of a club vibe. The music is fantastic but if you're looking for a quite little brunch spot, this isn't for you. We ordered: Jackfruit nachos - really good, bit of a spice kick, but I normally don't do spicy and I still really enjoyed them! You wouldn't have guessed there was no meat on there! The jackfruit looks and tastes like meat (or close enough to satisfy this carnivore). Mac and cheese bites: omg just do it. Do you like Mac and cheese? Yes. Just do it. More of the size of an appetizer, so you might want a side too. Red velvet waffle sliders: So interesting! I've had chicken and waffles before, but the red velvet is such a fun twist! Delicious. Bottomless mimosas (for the hubby) - no explanation needed here. Matt was our server. He was really personable, attentive and knew alot about the food. The GM was there too (sorry I forget your name) and she was great. You can tell she is a perfectionist and that is a good thing! I visited Therapy for a Sunday brunch w/ my best friend. Not only do they have happy hour all day, every day...they also offer $15 bottomless mimosas and peach bellinis! Sign me up! Let's start with the alcohol. Our waitress was very on top of bringing us refills when we ran out. So much so, she occasionally forgot to refill our waters lol. This can be a good or bad thing, but considering the bottomless drinks have a time limit and water doesn't, I'd say it was a good thing. Now food. I opted got the red velvet waffle & chicken sliders. The chicken and the waffle lacked flavour on their own, but the overall slider itself was good. Don't eat either piece separate! I'd give those a 3/5. Drinks, 5/5 lol. Sweet, but you could also taste the alcohol. Just how I like it. Service, 10/5. Brandee, our waitress, was great. She was super sweet, accommodating, charismatic, must I go on? Highly recommend her.
