Loved everything I got here! My friends took me here for my graduation dinner and every piece of sushi was amazing and fresh. My favorites were the tunas!

Just incredible!!! I loved my dinner here at Thirteen Water. The craftsmanship of each dish is fantastic! Everything was 10/10 delicious and the service was incredible! This is a must visit omakase spot in NY. I am already dreaming of my return!!

Small but intimate, cosy space. Staff was very friendly and helpful, answering our questions thoroughly. The food was yum! We got the omakase and there were some very unique dishes I've never tried--would recommend if you are open minded and like to try new flavors.

Another good tasty quick sushi omakse place at $85 and tax for 13 courses. Very tasty. Just eat and go. One hour deal. Worth it? Yes. Not bad.

This omakase spot in Alphabet City has been one that I kept hearing raving reviews about from my friends! With a cozy interior, it's the perfect spot for a date night. At $85 pp, it is 13 courses and offers nigiri, some handrolls, and a toast. I thought the quality of all the fish was delicious and loved the garnishes for each. I truly enjoyed their toro truffle, otoro toro caviar, and their toast. At the end of the course, we were still hungry so we got their spicy salmon handroll and their scallop uni, which were both amazing. However, I would say that service here is just okay. They are pretty strict with the 60 minute dining limit so as soon as we finished, they rushed us out the door so they could sit the next group. Wasn't the biggest fan of that as it made the dining experience feel rushed, but I also understand. In addition, the whole time while dining whenever the waitress went to refill my tea, she always reached OVER my plate and asked me to move/wait for her to pour it. I felt as if that was a bit unprofessional and she should have gone to the other side of me to pour it. Small detail, but it happened about 4-5 times throughout the meal and it kept interrupting our conversation.

All the courses were fresh and some of their flavor combinations were really unique and memorable. I'm not a big tomato fan but their salmon with tomato was surprisingly delicious. Loved that there was a good variety of diff fishes and all were very fresh. This place gets you in and out in an hour and everyone kind of eat at the same pace so I did felt a little bit rushed. It's the first omakase where everyone came and go at the exact same time. If you want a more slow paced restaurant maybe this might not be the best option. Chefs were pretty busy meeting demands so they were less interactive compared to other places I have been. Personally have no issue with that so really depends on your preference. Restaurant was small but clean and service was great. Overall enjoyed this omakase and rly like the courses.

Great price for high quality omakase in the city. They take a unique spin on their pieces like with the tomato and salmon piece. They were accommodating to us for arriving late and had our pieces ready to go. They also brought out a special matcha ice cream dessert for my birthday! Would recommend and come back for another meal!

Loved the omakase experience and for $85, you can't get better than this. 13 courses of fresh fish topped off with garnishes that elevated each bite ~ insane. Our chef was friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable. We came for lunch around 3pm and practically had the space to ourselves for a party of 6 ~ so lunch time may be a good time without a wait. Would definitely come back again.

Thirteen Water is a small sushi bar that solely does omakase located in East Village of New York City. The omakase here is quite affordable compared to other places. It is a fixed price of $75 per person, before tax and tip. There are limited amounts of seats and you are required to have a reservation to be seated. I made a reservation for a party of four online through Resy. It was very easy and they explained all the policies before you make the booking. In our omakase set for Friday, 07/25/2025, it was 13 courses: madai, chutoro, hamachi, tuna truffle, shima aji, salmon tomato, ikura, botan ebi, hotate, otoro toro caviar, unagi, uni toast, and toro handroll. I also ordered a yuzu cocktail off their drink menu. The fish quality was great for only $75. I love salmon, chutoro, and otoro, so I was very happy that these pieces were in our set! The chefs weren't very social or interactive with us. Not sure if that is typical for their staff here, but that is one thing I noticed. Other times and places I have had omakase, the chefs tend to be more talkative.

    - ~ * An experience * ~ - This was my first omakase and it was so good! Every time I took a bite my tastebuds were dancing!! I believe it's reservations only. They provide stale water or there's an option for sparkling. The place is clean. We had a large group of 9 people and the service made us feel welcomed. They even got a bottle of sake out for us to take a shot with them. It was so nice of them.

This was a great omakase experience and a must go to if you are in town or in the area. The service was great and the fish was super fresh. A simple menu set but completely hit the spot with distinct flavors. The ambiance was nice but really wish they had hooks for your bag!

I would definitely recommend this place. The omakase was great. The staff were great at checking in. The reservations weren't too hard to get. Overall good to go with a friend and share the experience together.

Handroll at the end of the omakase!

Absolute favorite "affordable" omakase in NYC! This was an incredible experience. Very very fresh fish, innovative flavor combinations & high quality ingredients! Very fast- 60 min omakase, almost felt rushed but very similar to other omakases in the city! Staff were wonderful & helped us pick a sake bottle! Will absolutely be back!!

The atmosphere here was a bit more lively and crowded compared to the more relaxed vibe of the UWS spot. I enjoyed my meal even more this time around. I started with the beet salad, which was delicious and offered great value given the generous portion size. it featured sliced beets, arugula, goat cheese, and walnuts. I also had my eye on the hijiki soybean salad--which is a bit smaller and reportedly homemade--so I may try that next time, along with the warm mushroom salad which looked very tasty. The edamame was standard but served as a nice starter. For my main rolls, I chose the salmon avocado and the yellowtail scallion. Both were very fresh and definitely worth ordering again. The salmon avocado roll had a nice touch of sesame seeds on the rice, while the yellowtail scallion was prepared with the seaweed on the outside. My boyfriend's sushi entree looked excellent, so I am considering that or the sushi-sashimi combo for my next visit. The entrees provide a substantial amount of food, and I especially appreciate that they allow you to choose which roll comes with your meal.

They share a takeout menu and it's super easy to order--text what you want to the phone number on the website and pickup in ~20 minutes :). You pay on a handheld and they don't ask for tip for takeout. I love this process and truly wish more sushi restaurants in LA adopt the takeout box. The only one I know of is hefty but also $200 each lol, making Sanyuu's $69 omakase and $78 Everything don, not to mention the $30 giant salmon nigiri set, A STEAL! I enjoyed most of the pieces but I will say I don't like their amaebi or uni at all. I'm not sure what kind of uni is used here but it's the type with a very strong mineral flavor & aftertaste that I don't find enjoyable. We're spoiled by easy access to live spot prawns everywhere and fresh SB uni. Despite this, I wouldn't hesitate to come back if I lived in the city.

To be honest, I was getting a little nauseated after 5 pieces, haha~ They were definitely delicious but I'd probably just eat 3 or 4 pieces and share with a friend! It was easy to text the number on the website and coordinate a pickup time, and the staff was friendly when I arrived. The restaurant is a little hard to find as the windows are blinded and the sign is a piece of paper on the door.

There was nothing on that menu that let us down. We started with two Calpico sodas, which are always a solid choice. My wife had the Omu Soba and loved it. I went with the Tonkatsu Ramen and that dish was everything. Rich, satisfying, the kind of bowl you do not want to end. We also shared the Kalbi, which are Korean short ribs, and they were outstanding. All three of us were on the same page about those. My son added two salmon tacos to the mix. He enjoyed them but said they did not hit quite as hard as his Mew Special Roll, which was clearly the standout of his night. It features raw tuna and what I believe is a combination of salmon and seared salmon on top. Either way, that sear flavor is really good. Worth trying if you get the chance. The space was lively and busy, which gave it a great energy. We ended up at a long communal table with another couple, but it never felt cramped or uncomfortable. There was enough room to breathe and enjoy the meal. My son mentioned his back felt a little tight from the seating, but that was a minor thing in an otherwise great night.
