Beef fried rice
Erica J.

Drinks filled to the brim....it's real here! I haven't tried anything here that I didn't like. They beautifully accommodated our party of 10. We didn't experience any delays or wrong orders and our waiter was a pro in not spilled the full drinks! On Wednesdays, they have a happy hour special: $40 margarita flight.

Thai fried rice......

Wonderful decorum. It's fine dining and the decorum matches. Appreciate the spacing. The music and service all add up to great experience. Now about that food.... I ordered the fried Thai rice with chicken, and my girl ordered ginger chicken and rice. Very impressed with the fact they started us out with a small chicken soup and chicken egg rolls even tho we didn't order it. ++! The food was fresh and wonderfully prepared. Excellent. Price was kinda on the high end. .....but good

Absolutely THE BEST Thai dining experience in the area. The service was immaculate and the ambiance is 5 star! Will definitely make this a regular place for dining.

Excellent Martinis!

Martinis were excellent! Staff was friendly and knew the menu. Crab & cream cheese rolls to start were also very good! The Panang Curry was The Best I've ever had! The mahi mahi although a good clean piece of fish was overcooked which dried it out. The noodle dish was decent. It was an enjoyable dinner in a nice clean space. Will definitely go back bug will skip the mahi.

Garlic Chicken lunch entree

I was lucky enough to be treated to lunch last week by a couple of my coworkers and one of them suggested Thithi's. French-Vietnamese has been one of my favorite cuisines since I first tried it as a kid. The last time I had this type of food was Y2K when Le Colonial was popular in Chicago. Thithi's did not disappoint! I would consider this place a hidden gem. The soup was delicious. It's a chicken soup with hints of lemongrass and ginger. One of my colleagues requested Duck Confit from the dinner menu and they gladly accommodated his request. We all tried it and it was tender, crispy and flavorful. The cocktails are exotic and poured with a heavy hand so be careful not to have too many! I would love to go back for dinner to see if the atmosphere is a bit more lively. I assume it is because the bar is well stocked and very nice. Oh, and did I mention the cocktails?

The best and most diverse martini options. It was nice experience overall. Food was good. I hate the red snapper off the menu.

Everything went well last night for dinner. It was a friend's selection for our monthly girls…read moredinner, and bonus it was La Grange Restaurant Week. The menu was phenomenal, the server had a great wine selection and the ambiance was so cozy and inviting with beautifully lit tables and a peach color rose bud on every table. Table service was also on point with the server keeping our wine glasses filled and the busboy making sure our flatware was replaced and fresh dishes were added. We each ordered from the RW menu, we got the pistachio crusted lamb, blackberry sage coulis duck breast and halibut and gulf shrimp in a coconut lime sauce. Can't wait to go back to this great find again.

The bar had a very nice selection of cocktails and we got the pisco sours - which were mixed well. For starters - we got the grilled spanish octopus. Any place there is octopus, we order it. Marco's octopus was definitely a shining star. We thoroughly enjoyed it and despite not being eggplant fans, it was a great pairing. We also got the grilled romaine salad and Soubise soup (french onion) and while I loved the soup (especially on a cold day) - my husband thought the salad was just okay - nothing that would entice him to order it again. For entrees - I got the filet gorgonzola and he got one of the seafood specials - I think it was salmon. Both entrees were fine - and my filet reheated nicely the next day - but nothing outstanding. Overall - a good restaurant - but again - nothing outstanding.

For my boyfriend and I's first sit down meal in Chicago, I chose to indulge in brunch at La Grande…read moreBoucherie. I had seen it previously advertised on TikTok and decided it looked like a nice, upscale dining experience and the perfect mimosa-filled brunch opportunity. Upon coming in at 11 when the location opened, I was already impressed by the beautiful cafe inspired French interior. The warm lighting and refined Parisian details were so beautiful and elegant, and I especially loved the look of the bar, which is a central statement of this restaurant. I chose the French toast breakfast and my boyfriend got the steak and eggs, and we both had mimosas as well! My French toast was light, fluffy, and delicious, definitely a solid choice. My boyfriend was super impressed by the steak and eggs and said it was the best breakfast he had our entire trip! The food itself was great and I would love to come back and try their dinner menu at some point. The service, however, is what truly stood out to me in our experience. Our servers were very helpful, knowledgeable about the menu, and speedy. We truly felt taken care of. Fernando was the sweetest and most welcoming, and he immediately made my boyfriend and I feel so welcomed and at home in Chicago. We greatly enjoyed our conversation with him and he even gifted me a coffee table book detailing the history and menu of La Grande Boucherie, which was so kind and such an amazing gesture. Fernando set our experience apart from any other dining experience in Chicago and he made this meal one of our favorites!

We booked a table for 8 to celebrate an 80th birthday. The service was fine as was the ambiance,…read morebut we found the food to be mediocre and overpriced. We ordered the $195.00 seafood tower, only to find that it barely included any seafood, 1/2 of a lobster, 4 shrimp and about a dozen oysters. I understand that Chicago is not a coastal city, but to not even include an entire lobster for a tower that cost $195.00?! Yikes! The drinks are also very expensive, and we found the steaks to be tough and dry. The Niçoise salad was awful, and not at all what we expected. It was drowning in dressing and the combination of anchovies and tuna did not work. It was also quite obvious that the tuna was not seared properly. I did think the roast chicken was good, and the fries were by far the best part of the meal. We went to several fine restaurants over the past few days to celebrate a milestone birthday, and La Grande Boucherie was the absolute worst in terms of value and quality of food. They were also the only establishment that didn't give the celebrant a small desert with a candle to mark the occasion. Just disappointing all around.

We had children with us and asked for their menu items to come as fast as they could. However, the server was extremely short with us and didn't even bring drinks quickly. While the restaurant was not very busy, it too a very long time to get our food - especially one in our group who didn't get food until almost everyone else was done. The food itself was ok, but I would say that nothing was exceptional - somewhat bland entrees and lacking originality. Could be what we ordered...as I know many people find the food here to be quite good. The prices are reasonable for the area but I was disappointed with the general unfriendly service and time to receive food. I've been here previously and we had a somewhat lackluster meal that time also. The previous time, they were pleasant enough but food was only ok - entrees were not very hot when we received them. All in all, there are friendlier spots in the area.

As expected, the restaurant was packed, both inside and in the beautiful courtyard. Families filled the dining room, with children of all ages at about 90% of the tables. The team at Pomeroy has been so consistent and professional, that all of our dishes were delivered at a perfect and steady pace, and qualities remained high. Although we got a different server each time we went, they were all very welcoming, friendly, and attentive.  This time, Carlisle did such a wonderful job even though she was super busy, and she wished me a happy Mother's Day several times to make sure that my day was special.  I must mention that the friendly hostess greeted me with well wishes too, and said happy Mother's day again when we left. We had noticed that they had replaced the couch in front of the courtyard fireplace with more tables.  Who could blame them when they had so many patrons to seat.  However, the courtyard still looked gorgeous. Now on to the food and drinks.  I had a mocktail Bleu 75 ($13) that's my favorite, my husband had a glass of chardonnay ($17), our daughter had a Le Spritz Strawberry ($16).  We shared an order of Sea Scallops ($23) and a Warm Tomato Tarte ($19).  I had my go-to dish which was the Mediterranean Sea Bass ($38), I loved the seared skin that was crispy on the edges. Husband and Daughter each ordered a Spring Halibut ($92 for 2) from the Mother's Day menu.  We ordered 2 Strawberry Crème Brulee ($28 for 2), and I shared 1 with my husband.  I also had a cappuccino ($6). The check came up to $283.05 before tips (they add a 3% surcharge to each guest check, which may be removed upon request, we didn't).  As always, our dinner was very enjoyable and it's worth the money.  I had a very happy Mother's Day dinner, and it ended a wonderful weekend with high notes!  We will keep returning!

Nice patio seating area of 5-6 tables you want outside but be careful the sun is beaming out there. Inside 5-four person tables, 2-two person tables, a cozy couch for drinking your preferred beverage, and a coffee bar seating. The service was great. As a black coffee drinker the guy allowed me to taste the Cafe de Olla to make sure it wasn't too sweet for me. It was perfect and piping hot. The cinnamon, star of anise, and sugar have a nice balanced flavor. The chilaquiles con bistek y salsa verde was DELICIOUS!! The salsa had the perfect amount of heat and flavor. The egg cooked over medium was fresh and a perfect match for my breakfast. I believe my toast was sour dough bread perfectly toasted. It's very seldom that I come across a perfect meal that doesn't over or under do something. So to create a beautiful breakfast that packed nothing highlighted my day.
