Came in on a Monday night only had drinks. Bartender was great both my lady and I had 1 off the menu then had a dealers choice which was also great. The main downside was that the speakeasy was held open so it took away the speakeasy feel and the door behind the bar were also open letting in light ( but it also let in a nice breeze periodically ) which was definitely welcomed due to the temperature that day. read more

This was my 2nd time here, probably would've been more, if not for that Panoramic lol. This is really one of my favorite speakeasys. The atmosphere and decor takes you to a saloon type vibe. You do need to make a reservation, if you want to guarantee a seat. Sometimes you may get lucky and be able to walk in, but probably not a large group. You make the reservations online. We were seated at the bar this time, which was great. You get to see how the drinks are being made and get to ask the bartender questions. Plus, you get your drinks faster. hahaha. The bartenders are all friendly, professional and helpful. They really are great at their craft. Now, the most important thing, the drinks. My friends and I, tried various drinks and all of them are unique and all of them were amazing! On the sign for the saloon it reads Open at 5pm, and 3pm on Sunday's. We waited 10 min in the lobby area and at 3:05 and an employee said to go in. We walked in and sat down for another 5 min and 2 other employees walked in and got mad we were in there 10 mins after open and told us to get out, with a bad attitude. (There was only 4 of us and it was a very slow day) For trying to make money as a fake western bar, yall forgot to add to the wannabe vibe some southern hospitality. Everything in there feels very cheap. Bartender once again has a really tighta** attitude. Great customer service. Went for a date night and really loved the intimate setting. Drinks were delicious. I had the espresso martini and dirty martini and both were just right. My wife and I were looking for something to do after dinner in Old Town Temecula on a Sunday. We stumped upon a sign in front of Crush & Brew that had something about a Speakeasy. So we went inside to check it out. Usually you need to make a reservation, but we got lucky that it's mainly open with no reservations needed on Sundays. Leading through a set of saloon style doors you come to a vaulted door. The bartender at Crush & Brew mentioned to look for a access button. Once we got through the thrill of the secret entry, the setup and design of this place was amazing. They have a pretty extensive cocktail menu to choose from at really good price points. If you come with a group they have two specific communal punches that can be enjoyed by the entire group for one set price. If you love speakeasy type vibes this place is totally it. Even if you don't, I'm sure this one could change your point of view. We had such a blast. read more

This is permanently one of my favorite speakeasies I've ever visited. The atmosphere has a spooky field to it, which I immediately loved and the drinks were incredible. I visited with three people who all have a very unique pallet and each of them received a drink. Thompson & Twain was such a cool speakeasy. My group went to celebrate the birthday of one of our friends. Reservations were made and though they are not required, they are highly recommended. To get here, you go into the Crush & Brew restaurant. To the left, there are two red swinging doors and that leads to the hallway that takes you back in time to the old west, lol. The décor they have in there is pretty bad ass. There are a lot of artifacts and props that transport you back into time. Now the drinks. They are all pretty damn good. My buddy and I tried the two that were under the section of Tread Lightly. The two drinks in this section are 'The Man from San Jose' and 'Birth of a Bandit'. From this section, the limit is two drinks. We tried them both and they were lit. The one I liked the most was the 'Birth of a Bandit'. It has tequila and mezcal and comes with a cinnamon stick that's been lit and is smoky. The drinks are smooth and flavorful. The girls had 'The Recluse'. They were satisfied with their choice and stuck to that drink for the rest of the night. The team that runs Thompson & Twain do such an amazing job. Everyone of them is so cool and down to earth. It makes a big difference when someone takes care of you and has a talk with you when they bring your drinks. Its more than just a transaction, you feel like a friend is there. My family and I were visiting from out of town and looking for a speakeasy vibe. We first stumbled upon the Apparition Room down the street and had a not so great experience. It was early in the night and we did not have reservations. The server looked us up and down and said "oh yeah we're full tonight". This ended up being a blessing in disguise and we continued a little further down Front Street and discovered TNT. I was pleasantly surprised the 45 minute wait quoted only ended up being about 10 minutes. We loved the decor and it really made you feel like you were in the Wild Wild West. The staff was very friendly and efficient. They even jumped in to strike a pose when I was taking a picture. The drinks were great and reasonably priced for as expertly crafted as they were. I was excited to try Thompson & Twain just because of the extensive Whiskey menu. I was beyond impressed with the entry to the speakeasy and the service and decor of the prospecting co. I arrived at Crush and Brew and asked if this was where Thompson & Twain was, the host looked me square in the eye and with a mischievous smile said follow me. So we did through the restaurant to this back area that became very dark and decorated with prospecting and prohibition decor, what I thought was a dead end was a door letting you into this very cool looking old western feel bar. I was a kid in the candy store, my eyes so wide and impatient to try a nice aged Whiskey. Our server Sheena was very hospitable even as the room began to fill up. She brought us a separate menu that has only Whiskey's, Bourbons and Scotches. It was in the neatest leather bound booklet. After perusing the menu we selected the 12 year aged Glenfiddich and Jameson Special Reserve Whiskey, both neat as they should be. We sat in the very comfy wingback leather chairs and sipped our strong yet very smooth libations. This place is simply the best, I look forward to future visits. read more

The is such an awesome spot for some delicious drinks! In true speakeasy fashion, this place is located inside another establishment so it is not viewable from the street. This can make it a little difficult to find, but that's just where the fun begins! As soon as we realized it was inside another restaurant then we were easily able to locate the saloon doors that lead to the entrance. The entrance is similar to a bank vault and the decor truly makes this place an experience. As soon as you enter you feel engulfed in an old time country saloon.. that's pretty cool if you ask me! The drink menu is expansive and each one delicious. I love that they also offer larger group drinks, which can be a lot of fun when you bring multiple friends. We visited on a weekday so the establishment was fairly empty and we were serviced rather quickly, but I can't speak for how busy they can get on a weekend night. There was plenty of street parking when we visited as well, but again I cannot speak for the weekend parking situation. Regardless, if you're looking for something fun to do that's more unique than the local bar or brewery I suggest giving this place a try. You'll have such a fun time and the drinks are amazing! read more
