Pies 5.0 | Service 5.0 | Ambiance 5.0 THREE BABES BAKESHOP (TBB) Commercial Kitchen 2797 16th Street | Open 7 days 8AM-4:30Pm Ferry Plaza Farners Market Saturdays ONLY 8AM-2PM THREE BABES BAKESHOP started their business in a shipping container in the Mission. I used to see them all the time at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market where they still maintain a presence every Saturday. I usually pick up now from their commercial bakery on 16th Street. THREE BABES BAKESHOP is a lifesaver when curating a home menu, especially during the holidays when you need that little extra help to round out the seasonal menu. You cannot go wrong with a pie or any baked goods from TBB. Their menu changes with the seasons but you'll always find their CLASSIC APPLE PIE. Maybe their secret is their PIE CRUST, flaky, and moist, crazy good! Sampled: PUMPKIN (lifesaver during the holidays!) BOURBON PECAN KEY LIME STRAWBERRY RHUBARB (seasonal | vegan & gluten-free available) Non-pie: COOKIE SAMPLER (seasonal) - box of cookies, browns, bars - all good! One of the few items that cannot be shipped. After buying one as a gift, went right back and bought one for ME!!!! Do it! Want to try: CHERRY LATTICE BITTER-SWEET CHOCOLATE PECAN SAMOA PIE (it's got a GRAHAM CRACKER CRUST!!!) RHUBARB CRUMBLE (seasonal) BLUEBERRY or ANY BERRY CRUMBLE TBB also offers classes, as well as premade dough or par-baked pie shell for the home bakers who need a bit of help. I can see TBB for group events at the office, weddings, or any gatherings. I usually preorder for pick up at the 16th Street location. You can also arrange for pick at the Ferry Building Marketplace on Saturdays. I especially appreciate the care instructions they provide with the pies so there's no guessing - fridge or no fridge? I intend to eat my way through their inventory but I have one wish...for a Chocolate Bourbon Pecan pie!!! See you there!

I'm all about supporting women-owned businesses, but unfortunately no pie should be worth $50. I was excited to try their blackberry crumble pie after snagging the last one on Thanksgiving. While the flavor was good, the bottom crust was extremely thin and the filling was very loose and jam-like, lacking the structure I'd expect from a pie at this price point. I'd recommend trying their individual slices instead -- less is more in this case.

I finally got here with a little driving from my friend. We shared a slice of key lime pie and bourbon pecan pie. Key lime is the best. Smooth. Tart and sweet. Anything with booze is good. Big pecans, butter, caramelized pie shell super crunchy and thin. Yum. No Pic, because no self control and had to eat. Read their bio. So cool that there mission is to highlight central valley. I agree, central Valley has the best fruits and agriculture.

Unexpectedly found this place when I was in the area and craving a little sweet treat. As soon as you walk through the doors, you get pulled in further by the sweet smell of baked goods. I happened to stop by in the middle of the weekday and there was absolutely no wait. I ordered the bittersweet chocolate pecan pie which was just so rich and not too sweet. If I'm in the area again I would love to try their other pie flavors and the chocolate chip cookies!

First time trying pies from here and it was absolutely delicious! I got a slice of their classic apple and a slice of the blackberry crumble. I loved how they both weren't too sweet and were both had a generous amount of filling. Both slices were $8 each which I feel is reasonable for San Francisco. There also wasn't a line when I went so they were able to get me my pie very quickly and were very nice in providing me more details about the process for ordering a whole pie (if it wasn't something they had in stock). I can't wait to try more of their pies and the different flavors they offer!

I was gifted the signature Salted Honey Walnut pie via mail. It was delicious, and tasted exactly how it sounds. I think bourbon pecan pie is more up my alley, so I'll try that next time. The pie must have shifted in transit, hence the appearance of its top layer, but it still tasted delicious -- even though it was sitting in my mail room for two days without cooling packs in the package. Impressed!

Very solid for pie, terrific service. Peach is a bit sweeter and more dense than some, but the crust is great when it's fresh. Banana cream is more creamy than banana-y. Vibe is industrial bakery, totally on point. No seating but that's, again, in line with the vibe. Not my favorite for pie but I see why they are so well-rated.

Bourbon Pecan Pie slice. $8. Good, but very small portion (fork shown for scale).

The pies here were good, but I don't think they are worth $8/slice. Especially considering the portion size is pretty small (4-5 bites). Also, I get that they want to prep as much ahead of time as possible, but my slices were not cut fresh when I ordered; they were already packaged. At these prices, it really should be cut fresh. I tried the Bourbon Pecan and Key Lime. The former was good, but I recommend throwing it in the microwave for a few seconds to soften it up a bit. The Key Lime was a bit too tart for my tastes. I don't recommend getting your pie fix here unless you really have money to burn; the value Just isn't there imo.

Delicious pie! I'm usually not a fan of pecan pie but my partner loves it. I ordered the bourbon pecan pie for his birthday and this was decadent. The crust reminded me of baklava. The filling was sweet and there are plenty of pecans. My partner loved the pie and I was surely impressed. We would definitely order pies from here again. The pies are on the pricier side but they seem to be handmade and fresh.

The whole pies here are an excellent price, and they're super easy to order from. I just placed my order online same day and picked up in the afternoon. I love seeing what seasonal pies they offer (chocolate cream pie for winter) since they are always changing it up with new flavors! Their pores are rich and full of flavor without being overly sweet. No seating inside but there are some parks nearby

Hello, do you use soy in any of your pies?

Hi, We do not use soy products in our baked goods.

I see that TBB is only open on Saturdays. Do these hour change seasonally? I have friends coming into town in the late spring who love pie.

We are only open at the Ferry Building on Saturdays since we are only there for the farmer's market. However, you can pre-order on our website for delivery or pick up from our kitchen 7 days a week. See our website for location details here.…

I'm always hunting for spots like this because I have a weakness for those over-the-top, Instagram-worthy desserts that look like diabetes in a dish. Like most places in this genre, A Buttercup is small, modern, and minimalist with limited seating. If you plan to go, aim for off-hours unless you enjoy waiting in line for sugar. The decor is cute and trendy, perfect for photos if that's part of your dessert ritual. As they say, "you eat with your eyes first," and when it comes to presentation, this place definitely gets an A+. The desserts look stunning and set high expectations. Unfortunately, that's where things started to crumble. It's like going to see your favorite artist live. You've watched the videos, memorized the songs, and paid for the experience. But instead of the electric performance you imagined, you get someone lip-syncing and barely connecting with the crowd. That was this place in dessert form. We ordered the Mango Bingsoo on our first visit, and when it arrived, we were surprised by how small the portion was. The guy next to us even looked over and said, "Whatever that is, I'm getting that next time." He shouldn't have. The Bingsoo looked great but was bland, and the "snow" was more chunky ice than soft shave. The Thai Tea Roti was also not what I expected. It came with Thai tea ice cream and sauce alongside a roti that was fried to a crunch. Interesting idea, just not the best execution. The sauce and ice cream needed a stronger Thai tea flavor to balance the crispy roti, and the flavors never quite came together. Overall, A Buttercup nails the aesthetics but misses the flavor. If you're here for the photos, you'll be happy. If you're here for the taste, you'll leave with a full camera roll and an unsatisfied sweet tooth.

The line went pretty fast on a Wednesday evening, but I can't imagine what it's like on a weekend. There's a bit of seating inside to enjoy your ice cream. They let you try three flavors, and I tried two, and both were so good I just decided on the spot. My first sample was the Salty Kaya. WOW. Heaven in my mouth. A burst of coconut and the saltiness that paired so well together. There's a reason this flavor has a permanent spot on the menu and isn't just a seasonal flavor! My second choice was the Funky Miso. I guess I love the sweet and savory combo. Also delicious! But not quite the flavor explosion in my mouth like the Salty Kaya. This one really grew on me after several spoonfuls of it. I really like that the single scoop allows you to get two flavors. How can I decide on just one when they have so many fun flavors?? I love this spot and will absolutely be returning. I love that they rotate seasonal flavors because there's always something new to try. My favorite is when they have their melon flavors, and I was so excited to see cantaloupe back this week! They let you sample up to 3 flavors, which definitely helps when you're trying to decide between all the seasonal options. There's usually a pretty long line but it moves fast so I've never felt like I was waiting too long. The staff is always friendly, and the whole experience is worth it.
