Wish I could say it was better. My girlfriend and her best friend went out her her friends 21st bday at mid night we went into 3 other bars prior to coming here and had the problem. My girlfriend got in to use the bathroom and wait for her friend to come in whose birthday it was. After leaving the restroom they were still waiting outside only to hear they denied her entry saying it's a state law not to allow a person into a bar until 24 hours after they turn 21 which is not a real law. Being a bouncer at bars for 2 years I know it's at a bar's discretion but to make her feel bad then insult her as we're leaving was beyond rude. I've been a regular at Thrusters for years and it used to be one of my favorite places. After what happened last night, I'll never go back and I strongly recommend no one else does either. It was Halloween and the bar was packed. My friend and I waited about 20 minutes at the bar, trying to get the attention of a female bartender who was busy taking shots with her friends instead of serving customers. We split up to see if he could get service from the other side of the bar faster. When she finally came over, actually standing on top of the bar being flirty, I smiled and jokingly said, "Are you going to get my drinks now or what?" She suddenly snapped and told me to "get the f*** out." I immediately apologized, explaining I didn't mean it disrespectfully, but she repeated it again. Before I could even go back to my group and grab my purse or phone, a large security guard physically grabbed me and pushed me toward the door. I tried to tell him I didn't have my things and needed to let my husband know what was happening, but he just said, "I don't care, you have to go." Once outside, I asked the door guy if I could use his phone to call my husband again, he said no and ignored me. I ended up begging people in line to please find my husband and tell him what happened. After waiting outside for 20-30 minutes with no sign of my group, I felt like I had no choice but to start walking home, 1.5 miles, alone, at 10:45 p.m. on Halloween night, in a revealing costume. Not long after, a man started following me and yelling to me and I was genuinely scared for my safety. I completely understand if a bar wants to kick someone out, that's their right. But to physically remove someone without letting them grab their belongings, and to refuse any help or basic concern for their safety, is absolutely unacceptable. The way I was treated was degrading and dangerous. Thrusters has made it clear they don't care about the safety or well-being of their customers. We have sent an email to management and hoping to hear back and to be honest after how they treat people I don't expect to hear anything. read more

My granddaughter left her purse in this bar the night before and I went to pick it up for her and Maddie was very careful before she turned it over to me. Very smart on her part. The place is dirty, over crowded and lots of people inside the bar who are drunk, using drugs, causing trouble, abusive and some threatening towards others. I had been to the place a few times was ok not great but I never posted any review thinking all bars have same sort of crowd and quite honestly I rarely go here as I am not a fan of bars. I was never false accused or threatened by anyone before in a bar and almost ran into an awkward situation lately. I do not drink alcohol due to health issues. I recently went there was listening to music had a glass of water was just standing watching TV and people passing by no one in particular. I was approached by a woman saying me and an old guy next to me who was drunk and gossiping non stop with every other person, she accused me and him of starring at her. At first I thought she was just goofing or it's just a club joke didn't mind but then she was serious and threatened to report us to management. I reasoned politely saying I wasn't scarring at her or anyone in particular. Despite she continued to argue and claimed she worked there and is part of the business. She later told me no it's not me its the other guy next to me and said that I am his friend to which I reminded her that I am here by myself and the guy next to me just because he was talking to me doesn't mean he is my friend nor do I know him and nor does his actions have anything to do with me as we each are responsible for our own actions only. The girl was drinking too but can't confirm if she was drunk nor do I know if her claim is true or false. She claimed she worked there but she wasn't a bartender that night. She asked me how old I am which I found very funny yet very intrusive and un necessary. Find it a little threatening and intimidating to tell someone falsely accusing them of something they haven't done nor have any slightest knowledge. They have the right to report anyone with their claims to management and I think management can decide what is right course of action. I politely asked the girl who came to talk to me clarifying that I wasn't staring at her since I was watching straight towards the TV and if anyone is in front in the way of line of sight could be the object my eyes my be pointed on but it doesn't mean I am starring solely at them. Apparently she mis understood. Not sure how else to prove this since I never even looked at her nor was anywhere near here I was on the opposite side of the bar. Story short I said to her if this is how she feel then I am sorry and that the guy next to me perhaps can explain as he was drunk and was bumping into everyone and touching eveyone or too friendly not sure. I wasn't even talking to the girl who came to accuse me and him of starring I was lost in my own thoughts and this is what I tried to explain to her. She was nice after the conversation but my point is if you are sober and mind your own business why are you the one accused for the bad conduct of others. She also said i am a friend of the guy who was starring at her to which I had to remind her that I don't know him and it was him who first started talking with me and of course when someone talks to you one can only be polite and say hi even if they are drunk or obnoxious which he was to some extent but I had no part in this fiesta she was staging. She should have complained about his behavior There were many other people doing even worse and horrible things, most were drunk and I was the only person to be cherry picked who was not even talking and just standing drinking water. Well enough of the hospitality I think I will not go to this scum rotten bar again and this place is hostile to people who are civilized but welcome all perverts and trouble makers who are there to only pick up fights. Also asking someone about their age unless you are checking ID at the entrance by security once inside other than security nobody has legal right to ask your age. Also it's totally silly the age what would that tell or how would that help her. I would not disagree based on other reviews the place is very un safe and they can also confiscate or rob you off your belongings un lawfully. Also people faking as being part of the business or employees or pretending to be bartenders must realize they may be misrepresenting themselves. Also if you are mad or un comfortable with someone talk to them directly and if they happen to be too drunk like the case of the other older man she should report him why show me all the anger and resentment as I plainly had no part in what was going between the other guy and her. He was still talking to every other girl and also touching them in appropriately. I don't go to this place often once few times during the year and usually I hop in for about 20 mins and leave as it's packed often. There they go again, messing with our bank card again. Don't go there. They mess with your bank card. And they will deny it. I already confronted them on two previous occasions about it. It only happens with them. They charge and credit $20 all night while in between charging the drink price. Which I now doubt that is right. Can't trust them. Not only does it tie up your funds, but it looks like fraud to the bank, they flag the card and start questioning every charge after and valid charges get randomly declined. It will continue until you call the bank and sort it out. And if you miss a written notification that makes things worse. You have to stay up all night waiting for a text or email from the bank to verify charges. It's a pain in the butt. No other business, nightclub or Lounge does it. Only them. Never going there again and I will never recommend them. Tired of them messing up our bank card. read more

I've seen Thrusters go through a couple facelifts since I first stepped foot inside. It started as the divinest dive bar with eclectic paintings and art, a single ladies bathroom stall that I spent many nights inside with my girlfriends when it was the thing to all go in together... those were the days. Years later, they remodeled and went for more of a table club kind of setup and it sadly wasn't the same. The old school bar crew had moved onto different ventures, and it lost the charm that it used to have. Had I reviewed the bar then, I would have given it two or three stars. Now, the oldest of the old school crew is back behind the bar. If you don't know Vinny, you should. He's brought back the crazy, wild, weird ways that thrusters once was. This isn't a cocktail bar where you go to get fancy. This is where you go to be part of a slightly drunken community of awesome people who just want to have fun. You'll probably be given a hard time, be offered a warm shot of Rumple Minze, or see the bartender come out wearing a burlap sack because she told Vinny she was cold.
