Braised Short Rib Papardelle over Ratatouille & under Parmesan cheese as served
    Aba H.

This time at Thyme I tried their Braised Short Ribs with Papardelle pasta served over Ratatouille (mixed veggies) and under Parmesan cheese. Very well made with a slight kick (of spice) in the ratatouille, great combination of flavor between the soft juicy plentiful meat (like boiled flanken or brisket), the long broad pasta, and fresh parmesan cheese. However, didn't enjoy what seemed like slightly stale small dinner rolls (one per person). Also, loved their decaf cappuchino. We arrived 6:00 PM on a Saturday night and for the next hour conversation with our friends was easy and it was less crowded. By seven, it not only got more crowded, but they also had a jazzy guitarist that only added to the noise. With tax & tip about $80 per person (including three appetizers and two mixed drinks for the 4 of us).

Lovely place for brunch. My eggs benedict was delicious, eggs perfectly poached. Everyone enjoyed their entrees and several plates were completely cleaned off . Menu offered large selection of brunch and lunch items. My mimosa was a bit weak but the Bloody Marys had a good amount of alcohol. The servers were friendly and attentive. Additional seating available on second floor.

Great food and ambiance. A really nice American restaurant that serves some of the most amazingly delicious foods in the area. We were blown away by the crispy calamari, which features a much thinner batter layer that had a nice and crispy crunch, more akin to Japanese tempura. The portion sizes were fairly large too, and the amount of meat in the braised short rib papardelle was amazing. The creamy texture of the meat blended very well with the fresh parpardelle. The seafood paella is certainly a must get, with the rice layer really soaking up the flavour of the mussels and clams that fill the plate to the brim in both quantity and flavour. The seared tuna bowl was good too, but nothing too special when compared to the other dishes. Service was very good, and the window seating provides a nice view of the lake nearby!

Great spot in Roslyn, LI. Overlooks a pond which is very scenic. Service and staff was great. The drinks and food here were delicious. I would go with any of the cocktails but my bloody mary was on point. Food was the standout. Burger was juicy and flavorful. The cob salad was fresh and satisfying. And the crab cakes were a great appetizer. Would definitely come back again. Great in a group or for date night.

Easter Brunch nothing impressive. Childrens menu for $32 a kid was embarrassing. Again nothing stood out for Party of 5. I was very disappointed.

They have a $31 brunch which includes one alcoholic (or non) drink. Certain item requires an up charge. Overall the portion were generous and the service really prompt, attentive and courteous.

The food was great! Definitely great portions for the price. I do however wish the staff was a bit more friendly so the rating will have to be four stars.

Wish we could give 1/2 Stars, REALLY SOLID place to eat! Accommodating and efficient service. Brunch for $28 provides a plethora of hearty, healthy options. We chose the BBQ Brisket and scrambled eggs with a Blood Orange Margarita (they use Don Julio Blanco.) We also had the Crabcake Burger, which is a pound of shellfish deliciousness with a Peach (Goya) Bellini ($7 J. Roget Champagne), which was a perfect combination. The Sirloin burger was topped with 2 slab-style bacon strips and Cheddar with crusted French fries, which adds more savoriness. You're started off with drop Sugar Biscuits, which are a bit dry but helped with whipped Cinnamon Butter and came the we had a side of the Strawberry spread that accompanies the regular biscuits. Another great time at Thyme!

Like usual we didn't have a lot of time to be able to seat and eat something from their entree menu. So when the hostess offered us a seat at the bar we were fine with it. The bartender was very friendly and nice. My wife had a glass of Cabernet and I had the New York Sour which is their version of a whisky sour (really good). The Blackened Salmon Tacos were delicious and so was the Crab cake. Can't wait to be back here for dinner, we will be sure to request a seat by the window for a water view.

Everything from food to service is just superior! Cute little restaurant where on 1st floor they invite live band to play while people dining and we were seated on the second floor near fireplace. Not a big space but very cute cozy and warm atmosphere. Young waiters are all very friendly and attentive. The best service ever! First time I went with my friend and had pesto pasta and cod dish with seasonal vegetables, yummy!! All very scrumptious. Second time I went back with my family just two months ago to celebrate my birthday. We had tuna tartar for appetizers and had seafood pasta, cod dish / shrimp dish and grilled scallop and lots of cocktails too. Can't remember the name of each dish since it's been a while but all I can say is that I was not disappointed at all even at second time that all their dishes were so flavorful and had the special home-made touch to it that our family enjoyed so much. Keep up the great with Thyme. We will be back!

It's become a reliable stop whenever you're craving authentic Persian food done well. One thing I've always appreciated here is the little touches. The warm bread they bring out is wonderful, and if you know to ask, they'll sometimes bring lentils as well -- a comforting start to the meal that feels very traditional. The meats are always fresh and beautifully seasoned, which is exactly what you hope for when ordering Persian kebabs. They recently renovated the Roslyn Heights location, and the space now feels very modern and polished. It's definitely an upgrade visually. That said, the dining room is a bit on the smaller side, and the tables sit fairly close together -- close enough that you might hear your neighbor's conversation. The Huntington location has a more relaxed, family-style Persian feel, while Roslyn feels more contemporary. Service has always been thoughtful. During our visit, we accidentally dropped a fork and the staff immediately replaced it without hesitation. Small gestures like that go a long way. What also makes Ravagh special is its place in the Roslyn Heights community. Located in a predominantly Jewish neighborhood on Long Island, it's nice to see a restaurant serving authentic halal Persian cuisine and welcoming such a diverse crowd. It adds something meaningful to the local dining scene. The spices and flavors are always the highlight. Desserts could perhaps be elevated a bit more, but the overall experience -- from the kebabs to the hospitality -- keeps people coming back. A lovely dinner spot on Long Island that continues to represent Persian cuisine with consistency and care.

The restaurant, Gatsby's Landing, draws its name from the romantic nostalgia of The Great Gatsby. Situated near the Long Island Sound and Roslyn Pond, the setting offered a beautiful waterfront ambiance. My wife opted for the Baby Roasted Beets Salad, Salmon, and Crème Brûlée, while I chose the Lobster Bisque, Squid Ink Tonnarelli, and Tiramisu. The menu highlights their commitment to fresh, organic, and locally sourced ingredients - a promise they certainly delivered on. The dishes were both delicious and generously portioned. It was clear the kitchen doesn't skimp on quality; for instance, the lobster bisque was loaded with tender lobster meat, the squid ink tonnarelli featured an abundance of blue crab, and the salmon was a substantial, thick-cut fillet. The chef clearly possesses a mastery of technique, knowing exactly how to pair garnishes and balance flavors in perfect harmony. Furthermore, the waitstaff was both diligent and courteous. We can see why this establishment is so popular--the combination of exceptional cuisine, attentive service, and the serene lake views is hard to beat. However, there is one area for improvement: the restaurant should consider replacing their current chipped plates with larger, more elegant dinnerware. High-quality presentation would better reflect the dignity and caliber of the food they serve.

We chose Limani because of its reputation and expected a memorable dining experience worthy of celebrating such a special milestone. Instead, it was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences we've had in a long time, especially considering we drove nearly 45 minutes to get there. From the moment we sat down, things started off poorly. The complimentary pita and dip provided for our table of five was surprisingly sparse. We then waited 20 minutes before our waiter came over to take our drink order. Another 25 minutes passed before the head captain noticed our table sitting empty and stepped in to take our appetizer order. We ordered calamari and saganaki. While the calamari arrived relatively quickly, it was extremely crunchy and noticeably overcooked. The service delays continued, as it took a total of 45 minutes from the time our drink order was taken before our waiter finally returned to take our dinner order. For our entrees, we ordered two Dorado fish dishes. One was enjoyable, but the other was completely flavorless. My husband ordered the swordfish skewers, which were good, but the accompanying lemon potatoes were disappointing. For a Greek restaurant known for traditional cuisine, the potatoes lacked the bright, flavorful lemon and herb notes you would expect. We also ordered the horta (mixed greens side dish), which was equally bland and seemed to be missing the garlic, olive oil, and seasoning that normally make this dish shine. My son ordered the salmon, which arrived overcooked and visibly burnt. I kept things simple with a salad and spanakopita. The salad was fine, but the spanakopita was unlike any traditional version I've ever had. Instead of flaky phyllo dough, it resembled a spinach-filled pastry wrapped in something closer to a Wellington-style crust. I must note that the second appetizer of saganaki, fried cheese, arrived right before our main courses were served. The most disappointing part was that this was supposed to be a joyous celebration of my daughter's graduation. We had brought a cake and cookies to enjoy after dinner, but the overall experience was so poor that we decided to skip dessert altogether and take everything home. To be fair, after I spoke with the manager, she was very understanding, accommodating, and professional. She acknowledged our concerns and significantly reduced our bill, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, while the gesture was appreciated, it could not make up for the fact that the evening's celebratory atmosphere had already been lost. For a restaurant with Limani's reputation, we expected exceptional service and memorable food. Instead, we experienced long waits, inconsistent food quality, bland dishes, and a graduation dinner that fell far short of what should have been a special family occasion.
