We really enjoyed this new restaurant! From the friendly hostess, our server Leah, and the food, it was all pretty good! We had the perfect table by the water, and the weather was just right to dine outside. Of note, which Leah advised, they have a free flowing kitchen, so whatever is ready, will come out. We did wait to put our entrees in knowing this, as we wanted to actually get to nosh on the appetizers. They were really busy, so food did take awhile, but Leah preemptively came over to apologize and let us know there would be a wait. The drinks came out 1st, appetizers came shortly after, but the entrees were a bit staggered, one came out and about 5-10 mins later, the other. But we were fine with it. We really enjoyed the drinks and mussels, but the chips were ok. For the mains, the salmon dish with couscous was enjoyed, and so was the special-swordfish dish with coconut rice on the side. Even though the swordfish was a smidge overcooked, everything was really flavorful and tasty. I will most definitely return and highly recommend! 9/10

Always enjoy my time at Tideline - One of the best places in all South Jersey shore towns for dining on the water in summer. Foods and drinks are great for all vibes, finger foods and entrees. Mezcaliente is a favorite

An absolute must for 'tini tuesday! Atmosphere is upscale coastal with a fabulous waterfront view from any section of this enormous mostly outdoor establishment. The staff was accommodating and our sweet young server had the utmost patience for our rowdy group beeming with questions. The small plates were vibrant and fresh, including local oysters, cheesesteak empanadas, and a chilled farro salad that was out of this world. No reservations accepted but we got right in before it filled up shortly after arrival on a Tuesday.

Great addition to the scene at the shore. Multi levels designed for different vibes. Service was friendly and on point. Great views, nice place overall. We only stopped for drinks and light appetizers so i cannot do a more thorough review. I would definitely recommend a visit. Pretty good crowd for a Saturday in October. Fiona our server was friendly and on point.

The food, service and ambience were amazing. I wish we took a picture of the pretzel but my kids destroyed it before we had a chance. I highly recommend this place!!!

The one star is for the ONE good thing about this restaurant, which was our waitress. It's a walk-in only restaurant. So we were put on a waitlist and told 45 mins. After TWO hours of waiting we come to find out the teenage untrained hostesses clearly didn't even know how to tell time. When we talked the manager it was clear he had NO idea how to run a restaurant and flip tables. The bisque was the only meal the whole table liked. Although the restaurant sits on the water it was quite loud. Needless to say, I won't be going to dinner there again.

We enjoyed an outstanding dinner here! While staying nearby in Atlantic City for a conference, we…read morereally wanted to get away from that nasty area and one of our colleagues lives in the area and suggested we try Steve & Cookies. We got there and it looked, calm, simple, and plain from the outside - until we walked in... this place was PACKED! Clearly, since we didn't make reservations, we weren't going to enjoy seating at their white table cloth tables in the main dining room, but we went around back to their bar and scored one last table there. Our server, Brian was amazing... engaging... and on point! They have a nice wine list and perfect spirit list. They also have an outstanding menu loaded with so many options, that I really just needed to settle on the first thing I saw that looked good. For me, I love cucumbers and when I saw they had a cucumber salad, done Asian style, I was completely in!!! Then I saw their soup of the day was split pea with bacon and since no one serves split pea and when they do, it's rarely what I expect, I got that too! Both of these came out looking GREAT! The cucumber salad had a nice spice to it and the flavors overall were sooo on point! That split pea soup was also great... almost perfect! It had the exact texture this soup should have and the flavor was very nice. For my entrée I saw a few of the halibut as I was walking through the dining room, so that is what I chose. The halibut came out looking great! It was PERFECTLY prepared too!! The flavors were spot-on, and the accompanying veggies were great too. We were enjoying dinner so much that we didn't want it to end, even though we were full... so, we ordered desserts too. I opted for the banana cream pie, as this is another item I rarely see on a menu and when I do, it's rarely done right, but not here... they did it perfectly! Overall, amazing meal... Highly recommend stopping in, but make reservations first!

The fried sushi roll was tough on the outside and soaked in a spicy sauce. I only ate the tasty tuna interior. My seasonal crisp was apple. Really? In June? And it arrived covered in whipped cream AND ice cream. I clearly should have gotten the blueberry pie! The crisp was okay but the fruit was lost in the toppings. I'll try again another time.

This place was a welcomed surprise!…read more We've visited Margate several times over the years, mainly locals. How have we never visited this restaurant? The photos on Yelp do not do this place justice. The downstairs area is on the casual side, but the upstairs dining area is nice! Not stuffy, but a little more upper echelon than the downstairs space. Cool bar area! We sat at a high-top and enjoyed a few glasses of wine (Sauvignon Blanc...house option). We split the meatball and the mussels in red sauce. That broth was bread-dipping good! Chicken Parm (red sauce), Chicken Parm (vodka sauce), the salad, and the seafood special for me. My entrée was mistakenly delivered to another table, and our server (Nicolette) was upset. They fired another one on the fly and it arrived minutes later. She comped our dessert to account for the error. So not necessary but so thoughtful. Her fun personality elevated our experience! I trust this place is filled to the gills with shore peeps during the summer. I am glad we got to experience it ahead of the season!

My dad selected the dining room at Venturas Greenhouse for Father's Day. He's pretty selective, so…read moreI had high hopes and I love trying a new to me establishment. Located next to Lucy the Elephant, Venturas Greenhouse has one part of the restaurant serving pizza, bar, food, and frozen drinks with a beach bar like vibe while the dining room is the more formal restaurant featuring steak, seafood, and pasta dishes. There was a roasted garlic bulb in olive oil for the bread, but the garlic could have been cut so that it's easier to get the garlic and spread it on the bread. As someone who gets down in the kitchen, I always cut the tops when roasting it for this purpose and it makes it so much easier to work with. My dad and his partner got the beet salad and my husband I shared what was described as dungeoness crab bisque. As a crab bisque lover, I was surprised when it came out like a chowder with large chunks of potatoes and huge pieces of crab. It was very flavorful, but so filling and not like the crab bisque I was used to having. For our entrees, my dad and his partner both got the sesame crusted salmon. I don't eat salmon, but they both seemed to enjoy it. My husband got the shrimp Parm, which I tried and wish I had ordered it instead of the chicken Roberto. My dish was very bland. Described as a chicken francaise with crab meat, the crab meat and chicken would have been dry, but the lemon butter sauce giving it life needed capers and seasoning. The veggies and potatoes served with it on the side were...awkward. A whole carrot, chunk of celery, a few slices of onion just seemed like it was parts of what we throw in a roast for flavor, and lacked effort as a side dish. For dessert we shared the limoncello cake, which was very light and exactly as expected. Our server was very sweet and attentive. Service was definitely not an issue. I would go back and try the bar area, as it seems like that is where this place may stand out the most, especially with their location.
