First time to order from Tiff's Treats in Plano. I ordered cookies for my son's birthday to be delivered to his work. I got a confirmation email that it had been delivered. Great. But that wasn't the case. He sent out a group text (after leaving work), asking who was trying to send something from Tiff's Treats? He never received it, but got a text from them. I later called to find out they couldn't reach him, so they left and returned the product to the store. Yet, they emailed me it was delivered. I called that evening to cancel. No apology, no 'how can we make it right', nothing. They could only refund the product but no delivery fees. Wish I had known, I could've made other arrangements for his special day. I'm here at tiff treats in Mesquite Texas picking up my online order. I had a pick up time for 5 PM it's now 6:10 PM. In the special instructions, I have do not warm. I get to the store and I'm given my order and the cookies are clearly warm. I was told they just came out of the oven. I'm assuming the young lady who was the manager on duty tonight came out and asked what the problem was. I explained to her that I did not want these cookies warm because they were not for me. She says that is their policy, not to follow those instructions and to warm all the cookies because some customers complain when they follow the special instructions. She said that she could even lose her job, so she chooses between warming all the cookies and following the instructions. So she chooses not to follow the instructions., So my question is, how can I get the special instructions followed? Her answer was, you can come in the store and they can be pulled out of the display case. But then if you do that, I can't get the discount that was online. I'm definitely confused because I've done this half a dozen times last year taking cookies to my clients. I've specifically asked for them not to be warm and it hasn't been an issue before. If you guys aren't going to be more accommodating to customers and follow their special instructions then you should take that option out That seems like a no-brainer to me. If they had the order ready at 5 PM like I asked, now it's an hour and 10 minutes later, the cookies would not have been warm as I instructed. I would not have an issue.
