1st visit to any TH location in the US. The last time was years ago, in Canada, and I was sorely disappointed then, especially because of all the hype of TH by my Canadian friends & family. I opted for a Boston creme donut and a "latte". The latte was okay but the donut was actually pretty good. It was soft and had a nice texture - not hard and not too dense. The filling and icing were both in good proportion to the cake par of the donut and were not too sweet. The donut was much better than most Dunkin offerings I've had lately albeit a tad smaller than what you get at DD. Prices are fair for the quality you get. Hooray, the legendary alternative coffee and donut chain from Canada has arrived here in Long Island. I love their donuts! The calories/sugar seem a bit better than the other coffee/donut chain I used to go to. I am assuming this location went with real maple syrup as the added sugar so in that case I love it. The donuts are not too sugary and the coffee is unique to Timmies. More often I wish I could visit Canada, as I totally love that place. My wife is a Canadian ex-pat and when we saw Tim Horton's on Long Island I almost crashed the car. Don't let the location fool you, it is tucked inside a Gulf gas station but it is the real deal! Ever since our first visit we have made it a weekly trip for coffee (and maybe a treat). The staff is friendly (and often the same people). The coffee is always fresh and tastes just as good any Tim's in Canada or Western NY. The doughnuts and pastries are very good as well. Canadian maple and glazed raspberry are my personal favorites. The new Nutella items are very good as well. Depending on the time that you go, the pastries may not be as fresh. I find that is the only major difference between this Tim's and the ones in Canada. In Canada they are almost always fresh. Regardless, this Tim's is MUCH needed on Long Island. I love Tim Horton's coffee and would take it any day over Dunkin... yeah I said it! read more

Loyal Dunkin Donuts patron converted upon first visit; yes that shall be the title for this review. Nevermind that the place is small and it's located within a Gulf station convenience store. The employees were friendly and got my order ready at lightning speed. The cruller was good and flaky and slightly less sweet than the frosted DD version. I actually like this one much better. Now the main reason I came here in the first place was because I saw a magical word on their website and that word is NUTELLA. You got Nutella? I'm there no questions asked! I really really really want to love this place, because the service here is great. There's just one issue: they don't know how to make Ice Caps . I tried this location a couple of years ago, ended up with a really bland drink. I figured that the US locations are finally getting their act together. I decided to try this location again, since it's close to home and I don't have to pay tolls to get to. By far one of the worst experiences I've had. I went into order a Boston creme donut and a french vanilla. The person there stated that there was no french vanilla available so I opted for the ice cap instead. Once I got to my car I realized that the taste was not even close to the one you get in Canada.
