I struggle with this post, I wanted to love this place and frankly had brushed off all the negative comments, I was torn on recommend or not recommend. My husband had the lumberjack hobo hash which was delicious and a slightly smaller than dinner plate and seemed pricey at 1499 I had the ham and cheddar omelette which was by far the thinnest omelette I've ever had in my life. I don't know that my pictures will do it justice $30 later for breakfast not counting tip was expensive. We have had much better breakfast for far cheaper. The service was great (Lia although new did a great job) the wait time was appropriate however there were only about six other tables with people at the time we were there my over cooked diced potatoes with onions I'm not sure you can see them in the picture but there was two tiny pieces of onion in there I almost forgot it came with onions at first. All in all does not make me want to rush back sadly if you do go don't try the omelettes I did see somebody that ordered the meat lovers stacker and I was super surprised on how small that was. We have eaten at the one in Orting before and had a good experience but definitely this one has some ways to go most likely depending on what you order.Maybe give it time before you rush down. read more

I went to Tim's Kitchen with my 88 year old mother a couple of weeks ago because I saw they had lots of biscuits and gravy which my mom loves. When we arrived at 2:20, we saw a sign posted saying they were closing at 3:00 for the next few weeks. They made us wait before greeting us and then turned us away. My wife and I were really hoping for another great breakfast place on South Hill. Walking to the booth, the floor was slick, saw multiple people almost fall. One guy was gliding as if on skates. That was the entertainment. Ordered biscuits and gravy with eggs. All cold. Hash browns were cold and stale. Portions are huge. We were thinking it was about three dollars a plate too high, but not after we got our food. Home made food taste so good. Great service. Room from large groups and small. Only down side is the large windows let to much light in. The mood of the room could use some work. Over all we will definitely be coming back!! This was my first time here after hearing such great reviews. Came for lunch with the hubby but ended up having breakfast when Ashley recommended their chicken fried chicken. Its a super moist chicken breast, hand breaded using their own recipe, then fried. They cover it in their own sausage gravy. O.M.G! The best I've had by far! Hubby had the logger omelette and loved it. With all the food the entrees come with, we had 3 plates each! And if you haven't met Ashley yet, ask for her. Brand new location on the busiest street in the area. Cannot fault them since it is the main drag. Parking lot shared with a church so not too much space on a Sunday morning. Walked in to a 30-minute wait (normal for Sunday at 1030) and patiently hung out. Very interesting as almost everyone on the serving staff looked familiar. Familiar since they all were staff at the BB Diner just down the road! Yes, this place just opened and they are figuring things out, but the service was very slow. From ordering coffee to arrival was over 10 minutes. Food arrival was about 30 minutes from time of order (had my 3-YO with us so I was watching the time). Food portions were reasonable and the quality was good. 3-stars is generous because aI understand this is a new place and many things to work on, but the food was good. Photos on the next visit. Disaster . Terrible parking and getting to it for starters. Servers weren't attentive and ours was more worried about being on her phone by the counter. Food was ok. First time here as I've heard wonderful things about this place. Unfortunately that was not the case for me. I ordered the Arizona omelette which the description states bacon, sausage, jalapeños, tomatoes and cheese. Mine came with sausage, onions, and stuffed full of potatoes which I cannot eat. Rather than send it back and wait another 20 minutes I ate what I could. I didn't ask for another one as I was with other people who's orders were correct and didn't want to eat by myself. I also didn't mention anything which I probably should have I just don't like to complain about food cuz I'm lucky enough to be able to afford to go out to eat where some aren't. Service was slow but the food was great! I had the corn beef hash stacked. Came with hash browns, cheddar cheese corn beef (not from can) and 2 eggs. We have been going there for over a year every weekend the last 2 times service sucked. Today we got no service, other than the wonderful hostess bringing us drinks. We waited 35 minutes with the server only saying "I'll be right with you" three times. We left money on the table for drinks and walked out. Love your food ! Your servers suck. My wife and I love the Orting location, so when we saw a Tim's Kitchen in puyallup, I was really excited to come try it out. We came in early on a saturday morning, and they were already get busy. We were seated right away and our server, I want to say her name was Ashley?, came over within mins and took our drink orders. The decor of the restaurant is very similar to the Orting location, a cute train chugging around the back end of the restaurant and old photos of the area were up. They do have a salad bar, which is located right past the hostess' area. I do find that a weird location but you got to make the best of the spa e I guess!. I took a look at the salad bar as we went by because I did look at the Yelp reviews before we left and alot had negative comments about the salad bar. This salad bar is a standard, typically salad bar. Nothing fancy, but it was clean and in order. Our server got back with drinks fairly quickly and took our order. I ordered the falcon ( 2 eggs, 2 pieces of meat, choice of potatoes, and bread) and my wife ordered the crispy chicken on a biscuit. Our wait for our food was probably about 20 mins, typical for a saturday morning. The food was great, I wasnt disappointed, the only bad, was the cook mixed up my wife's order with another chicken sandwich, so instead of honey there was gravy. Having been to tim's kitchen before, she knew she didnt like the gravy, so she scraped it all off. When our server came back around we mentioned this and she was very apologetic as well as offered to fix the issue. Since it wasnt a super big deal, my wife told her know she was just curious if the sandwich had changed. This is something that didnt create a negative experience with us because our server was great as well as this location just opened so there is bound to be links. I travel around different restaurants around Washington more around Tacoma and Puyallup and this one caught my eye, mostly because of the prime rib. Sadly I was there a little too early. But I enjoyed the sirloin steak with double the loaded mashed potato's and the pulled pork sandwich . Both were amazing , the macaroni and cheese was very creamy and cheesy a melt in your mouth type of cheese. But why I made it five stars was the service was fast and friendly. The waitresses were very nice and not like a "not my table not my problem" type of deal, we had a couple waitresses helping us out. My boyfriend and I came inside and was instantly greeted by customers that just finished their meal recommending what we should try and that we'd love it. Overall a great experience especially for a first time visit , definitely have to go back to try other things , the menu was so big and had a lot of different things so great for a family with different taste buds ! read more

Amazing place!! My friend and I came here for our first time and we were treated so kindly I couldn't even believe it. We both got chicken and waffles with a plate of fries, holy cow was it delicious. Literally ate until we were stuffed. Honestly the place has potential but being the first time here and the experience we had it just was not worth it. We ate dinner at the South Hill location. When trying to order different things we kept being told they were out of various things like roast beef, green beans, tater tots, pasta, etc.. we both ordered salads with our meal, wife received her bowl and I did not until dinner just about came out and the waitress said she forgot. The dinners arrived and the breading on the chicken just didn't stay on and was a little flavorless and my wife's burger dip was all bun and the jus was extremely salty. Now the waitress was young but a bit forgetful and spacey as she would ask a question then walk away before you finish an answer, saw this with other tables. Seems the staff needs a little customer service training. The hostess was doing a good job of seating and bussing tables quickly. Now the potential part, if they had the food in stock, added a little more flavor to items it would be a decent place as the chicken was cooked well just the coating just slugged off. I didn't know what to expect from this place for my first time trying it, but i was undoubtedly impressed. Despite being the only people in there at the time we went in; like 3:30ish? I was thoroughly impressed with the burger. I don't know if it was just because i was extremely hungry or what but that burger was probably like an 8.5/10. The only flaw was they didn't have pepper jack cheese but that isn't too big of a deal. All in all i was impressed and will most likely be back read more

Slooooooow! Did I mention they're service is slooooooowwww? With lots of empty tables, I waited for a good 3-4 minutes for a hostess to seat me. My friend waited for coffee service. The restaurant was out of several food items. OK. This was the day after the 4th of July. Waited again over 25 minutes for eggs and hashbrowns. My friend received his pancakes but had to wait for eggs and bacon! I will give fair consideration that maybe due to the day after the 4th, some staff were late for work. My mother and I came to eat here a couple of weeks back. The wait was long to be seated; the hostess greeted those of us waiting with a exasperated sigh. Once we were seated it was near the "salad bar". Our waiter was on the ball and seemed to have his act together. The food was OK, not horrible but not worth going back for. My mother's order was incomplete and the waiter went to the salad bar and dished her up the missing item. This kind of shocked me, considering the salad bar was a messy and looked well used! There was a mess on the floor around the salad bar area and staff walked around or through it. Finally, the hostess swept it up.
