My best friend and I came here to check it out and the food was awesome! I got a vegan black bean burger with fries and my girlfriend got a spicy burger. Our waiter was so kind, she helped us come up with what we wanted. Their alcohol starts at about $8-$9 for a mimosa/beer so fair warning. My friend and I had a domestic beer and it was great! Can never go wrong with Mac n Jack. The food averaged around $16.99 to start as well. It's a super cute restaurant, I just wish maybe we got like more fries or something with our meal? That probably was my only complaint. Everything else was awesome, just the fries were lacking and looked sad lol. My fries came with my burger and so I mainly got the fries for my nephew, but I just wish we had a little more fries because it looked like just a small handful was placed on the plate. Most tasty. We split the blue cheese bacon burger - half pound, nicely seasoned, nicely cooked, very tasty, withy the "side" salad bar sals (one each, very good) and root beer floats. First there was no greeting or organization at the front door. I was a party of one and once seated i was asked what kind of drinks I wanted. I ordered a coffee and water, only the coffee arrived, which was watered down I tasted hot water. The Denver omelette I ordered took about 30 minutes to get. It was nothing special. I see why so many bad reviews about this place are on this site. Ashleigh the waitress noticed I was writing a review, and asked I not to and what the problem was. I explained my position and ,from her asking me not to post. I got the impression that it happens a lot, bad service. She offered to get me a fresh cup of coffee, so apparently I received not so fresh, not truly coffee. Disappointing I thought this would be a good place. While visiting, I didn't appreciate hair in my nieces food. The manager at 720 tonight took a chicken sandwich immediately with fries, leaving the child with no food at the table. So now she's eating our food it took over 20 min for replacement food which they told us would be free. When food finally arrived, they added to tab when we asked to remove the manager refused rudely, taking food back, not apologizing to the child or us. Wow! read more

Came in because we love the Orting location. This was a different experience entirely. While the waitstaff was very friendly, they were extremely slow. We waited much longer than you would expect to order and receive our food. I think based on the foods temperature as well that it was ready before and sat waiting for our server to bring it. I had a mimosa that was so beautifully done(tasted twice as delicious )I almost didn't want to drink it.I want to note that Kerri was an exceptional waitress. So I guess after a couple visits it's time for a review. Keeping in mind that my group is a business oriented group who was giving this place a shot during lunch break. What that means is, we don't have all day to sit around waiting. This time I went with the Buffalo Chicken Breast Sandwich with Tater Tots. Focusing on the food for a second here, I was rather let down with this one. The "buffalo" sauce is basically just dumped on top of a deep fried chicken breast, and as you'd guess it was running out all over the bun making a soggy mess that was hard to hold and even more difficult to eat. The buffalo sauce tastes like it came right out of a bulk jug. As for the tots, I was actually excited to see this offering because I love tots over fries any day. Sadly, my tots were rather well done, probably hanging out in the fryer a couple minutes too long. They had no soft interior, they were basically just crunchy all the way through. So stepping away from the food, let's return to that conversation about my lunch break during my work hours. It took us a very long time to get our drink orders in, and another lengthy amount of time to get our food orders in. The wait for the food was actually getting excruciatingly long when I noticed a man be seated at the table next to us, his order taken and his food arrive all after our food order was taken but before our food arrived. To me this is unacceptable. There is no way another table should be seated after us, waited on and have food arrive all while my table is still waiting on our food. And again, we have an office to get back to, so there's that whole part where we are on a time limit here. As for the decor, it's nothing to write home about. It's clean, but it's by no means "nice". Average tables with average booths and a couple spots on the walls where some drywall repairs seem to be stalled in time. There's a train slowly making laps overhead to add to that kitschy feel. Personally, I'm not a fan. Overall, I probably won't be stopping back by, especially during the lunch hour. This one just takes way too long and the food wasn't that great anyways. Not a bad place, super clean and open concept is quite inviting at a glance. Walking in, there's a train theme, but not overdone. My son and I had breakfast today. TK Benny's a Country and a Florentine version ( one with meat and one with no meat ). Both very good, and flavoursome. Our waitress was attentive very friendly. My only down was maybe they should've cooked the hash browns after the Benny's ( not before), the edges were cold. This place rocks! Food is excellent, prepared nicely and appetizing, served hot and fresh off the grill, just like how breakfast should be. I ordered the cinnamon roll and it was oozing with goodness, ate about 3/4 and I was done! Portions are great, service is excellent and served with a smile. They tell you hello and goodbye, something lacking in some restaurants where they take the customer for granted. NOT SO at Tim's Kitchen. It's a bit of a drive for us, but we will definately be back! What a disaster. So many things went wrong that I'm not even sure where to start. Wait time was 30 minutes to be seated - we knew this before hand but metioning as fyi to others. We were finally seated at a booth close to the salad bar. Issue with the seating in this particular area is that anytime somebody opened the main door, you'd freeze you butt off. So many people were coming in and out that we had to leave our jackets on with the constant cold air coming in. I'm just going to break down of what all went wrong. Wait time - long wait to take drink orders, long wait time to take orders for apps, food delivery time nearly 30 min for each course. If I remember correctly, we were here over 2 hrs that night. Ridiculous. Soda - tasted like carbonated water with no flavoring Sweet Tea - had to wait for them to make new tea. Of course this added more wait time. Appetizers were okay. I liked the potato skins and fried pickles Most of us ordered seasoned fries with our meal - the fries were not seasoned and mine were still frozen. One person ordered green beans with their meal. When the server brought the plate corn was on the plate instead. He proceeded to say, "oh, green beans are all out, we made an executive decision to find you a replacement. Hope that's okay." Wth, gave them the right to decide on behalf of the customer? Chicken fried steak- on the smallest place I can think of and the smallest piece of meat I've seen for this type of meal. Baked potato- one person ordered this as a side and the bottom was severely burnt that she couldn't eat the whole thing. Btw- this is also the person that ordered the green beans. Basically both sides were an epic fail. We usually order different meals and share them to sample. We tried: CPR burger - the cheese they used tasted off and very greasy. Although I requested no pink in the burger, that does not mean I wanted an over cooked, brittle piece of beef patty. It crumbled on my plate. Jalapeno popper burger - same issue as the other burger. Overcooked, very dry slice of meat and falling into pieces. There wasnt anything ordinary to this dish. I was really hoping because it sounded very yummy. Mac and cheese - covered in the same cheese that was used in grilled cheese. My kid is a fan of mac n cheese, this was the first time she thought mac n cheese was greasy and tasted very weird. Smell - everything had such a strong order of grease that it was making me nauseous. Service - it's very clear that most of the employees are new. We were very patient because there's nothing worse than figuring out a new job and having people be rude at the same time. Added pressure is certainly not needed. However, our servers couldn't figure out who should take care of us. One showed up and said she back to take our order and never did. A male showed up later to do this instead. The waitress came back and apologized for the wait about an hour later as if she was going to help us. For some reason though... once the food was served nobody checked on us. Did they already know how horrible it was? We were all done with what we could tolerate. The waiter handed us our receipts. I asked if he was going to take any feedback since nobody ever inquired if our meals were okay, or if we needed anything else. He kept cutting us off until I told him he needs to listen so he can share this feedback with the appropriate people. He said he would go back and talk to the manager. He came back and said he could give us a discount. He handed us the receipts and he gave us a military discount. The funny thing is that we had military vets at the table... one way or another they would have gotten that discount anyway. We are talking about $2.00ish. I think I had to chug alone $2.00 worth of tums after we ate there..... My concern is this place is going to tank fast if they dont figure it out. We spent combined a good chunk of money for food we couldn't eat. They should have comped for burnt food and under cooked at least. If you want gross and deep fried bar like food, this is the place to go. Otherwise, I dont recommend it at all. This surprises me considering all the hype in the media and the ratings the other location has. read more

Dang Tim! You just created a big fan in this family! So we had stopped in here when they first opened and like most brand new places there were some hiccups . So we reserved judgement and I am so glad we did! So back for round two, there was a short wait when we arrived for brunch which is always a good sign. This review largely chicken focused. The chicken fried steak has the crunchiest, best seasoned crust I have had in a long time. And this is my go to dish everywhere. We also chicken strips and chicken fried chicken at the table and no one was dissatisfied. Their French fries are extra delicious with a great seasoning. Their biscuit has some type of crack in the butter mix that will have me back in there as soon as my food coma ends! Side note that they have a salad bar. Rare sighting in Puyallup. Portions are large! Service was spot on. Always ahead on drink refills and very friendly from the check in desk to the team of servers that obviously have each others back on table patrol. I have to break my rating in to two parts (Service and Food). Food: I would give the food 4 Stars. I had a buffalo chicken sandwich with tater tots. My sandwich was quite tasty, but I think that they should have covered the chicken with more buffalo sauce so the entire piece of chicken is coated. Additionally, the ranch dressing was a little runny for my taste. I wish their ranch was thicker. Service: I give the service 3 stars. The service was just okay for an afternoon lunch service (that was not packed). We ordered two sandwiches and it took 60 minutes for the food to come out and when it did it was delivered to the wrong table. I also ordered coffee with milk and they brought me out a small plastic cup (similar to what you put ketchup in) with milk. When they got around to give me a refill they never brought out any more milk. I know that this is a new location and it still has growing pains. No wait walked in on Friday night. I can say that the floor was a little messy I wished when they cleaned up a table they also ran the push vacuum over it but we'll live. We placed our order for fried green beans, chicken and waffles, 2 pc cod dinner with tots and salad bar and the grilled cheese with ham steak. While waiting for my food I took a trip to the restroom and it was immaculate which is a plus for me. I'm hoping if the bathroom is clean then the kitchen is clean as well. The fried green beans were actually great! The salad bar was less than desirable. I'm assuming since it's so close to closing time they did not re-up the empty items. I really enjoy this spot. They have good food at decent prices. The portions are huge so I feel like I get a 2 for 1 special with the leftovers, especially with their Hobo Hash series of dishes , even the half portion lasts me a few days. I love love love their sausage gravy and there is ample seating so I can when I'm waitlisted it's never for more than 10-15 minutes during weekend brunch hours. I had a great lunch experience here. Stopped by for a birthday lunch when passing through town. Our server, Kerrie, was attentive, hilarious, and needs a raise (bonus: she got our young son's order put through first without us asking!). Our food came out fast and was piping hot.y BLTA was soooo good! Lots of bacon and a full avocado in there. I picked tater tots for my side, but they give you tons of options. Breakfast go to Pancake House. Way better food and quality. We did not mind the 30 minute wait for our table but when we finally got our food it was cold and disappointing. My husband ordered chicken fried steak, I ordered biscuits and gravy. Biscuits are made from box and gravy tasted like glue. We brought it home and our 19 year old boy even turned up his nose Haha. We were driving down Meridian on our way to Black Bear when we saw this little restaurant and decided why not try something new! I loved the cute western atmosphere, there was even this super cool train going around the ceiling of the restaurant. We had good, quick service. Prices were definitely reasonable. The food itself was just okay. The biscuit was a little dry and over cooked and the bacon kind of had an old oil flavor. Everything else was good. We've been ordering take-out here almost weekly throughout the pandemic. I have yet to experience "contactless payment". I was surprised to see how many people were dining in. They were seated in every other booth, but it was unnervingly busy. They no longer will bring your order to your car, but I understand they are too busy to provide that service in Phase 2.. If I were writing this based solely on the food quality, I would have asked for a 6th star. The issues are in communication and possibly just circumstantial problems. There is an exuberant young lady that takes orders, very quickly (again, super busy I get it), but details get left out, ie. extra gravy, 2 orders not just the one, etc.. Know your customers, some of us are hard of hearing and slow to process.. I do want to point out how awesome their chicken fried chicken is, and there are two "Crispy Fried" options.. 1 is single battered, and the other "Chicken Fried Chicken" is double battered. If you are ordering take out, get the double batter.. Wow! So glad we came here! We tried the one in Orting, heard they had a kitchen fire, found out about the one in Puyallup, I am sad to say I haven't over eaten like this in so long.
