I stopped by this stall during the 909 Night Market. Tried their regular sized Thai Tea with boba which came out to be $12!! I had expected the drinks to be pricy considering I was at a night market, but I was SHOCKED at how truly expensive it was. The flavor was average at best. I think what upset me the most was that there were no prices marked anywhere at their booth. Customers would either have to (1) awkwardly ask beforehand or (2) even more awkwardly cancel their orders if they felt like the $12 price tag was too steep. read more

My husband and I were there on May 25 at 11:35 AM. We were order number 51 Receipt Pvw6. We are really excited to see that there was another tea place that popped up close by. The person who helped (rather didn't help) us was not very friendly he said, "you have to use the kiosk to place your order". After we struggled through placing our order he took two other orders for customers without using the kiosk. He was super friendly with them but why is it that we weren't greeted/ treated the same way??? After our drinks are ready she didn't even bother to call out our name or let us know. Our drinks just sat there on the counter while we asked each other, "is that ours???"We will definitely not be going back with that attitude. recently, I visited Tim's Thai Tea and Mag's Matamis at Filled Market in LA for the first time. I really enjoyed attending this media event they hosted, and I'm so glad that I finally got to try some of their menu items! my friend and I tried the Thai Iced Tea (World's Best Brewed), Mais Con Yelo (Hand Crafted Drink), and the Red Hot Dogs (Street Food) their drinks are definitely unique; the Thai Tea was rich in flavor and perfectly sweet. the Mais Con Yelo shaved ice was something I had never tried before. I had most certainly never tried corn in a drink, nonetheless ice cream with corn in it; it was very interesting to try and certainly delicious! read more

Charged $13 for a regular Thai Ice Tea and didn't list the price so had no idea before I waited in line for 15 minutes (at the 805 market) that it would be double the normal price. Waited another 30 minutes for a simple drink that should have taken 2 minutes. Something very wrong with this place. Not to mention the blasting music so you couldn't hear them. read more

Every Sunday at the Manila district in Downtown LA you'll find a pop up market with many food vendors owned by different small businesses who have a passion for food and sharing their culture with everyone. One in particular that is my favorite is from a husband and wife who sells crafted filipino deserts/drinks and street food offering so many items from the menus at Tim's Thai Tea and Mags Matamis. One of my favorites were the fish balls and qwek qwek on a stick. The sauce that comes with it is delicious and tangy. I'm use to always getting something that is familiar, but when I decided to try Mais Con Yello (a filipino desert that translates corn with ice) it turned my world around. I loved how creamy, sweet and refreshing the taste is and would definitely go back for more. read more

Drink is decent, and that is why this isn't rated lower. It is definitely overpriced for what you get. The biggest issue with this place is that there is only 1 employee working and my order took over half an hour to make when I just had 1 item. I get that you can order from a kiosk, but the poor guy couldn't keep up with the influx of orders coming in. They need at least 2 people to make this run smoothly. Overall, this would've been a decent experience if it didn't take over half an hour to get my 1 item. read more

A few things about this place that stirred me the wrong way. Pricing Transparency: This vendor takes advantage of the fact that they do not list their prices. Having people wait in the baking sun for 10ish minutes only to find out a single thai iced tea to be $12. Whereas their Corn Dessert drink is priced at $14 (more fairly priced for what you get). You're obviously not forced to buy anything but any person knows the nuances of walking away after waiting in line for so long. You're unfortunately going to buy something. If the drink was labeled as $12 then there would be no problem. Scummy pricing and transparency for any street vendor. Drinks: Thai Iced Tea is probably the sweetest one I have ever had. No options for an unsweetened version. Would pay $5 max for this drink. Corn Dessert Drink: Flavor was good! Presentation was good. Price is more understandable for a niche product. Decided to try this place with our meal while at Filled Market. It was a beautiful sunny day, perfect for a refreshing serving of Thai Tea. I ordered a Thai Tea, with no additional toppings. It does not come with ice, since they keep it and serve it chilled. The drink was served in a zip-top reusable plastic bag with a curly straw. This was a cool concept but can get messy because the bag is not leak proof. The Thai tea was brewed well, and the taste was not diluted. Although the drink was perfectly sweetened, it was more watery than I preferred. I like my Thai Tea more milky/rich/creamy. Another reason for my 3-star rating was that it was pricey for a Thai tea (~$6). I understand that it is a small business, but this will not be my go-to place for a Thai tea craving due to the price. The staff were very friendly, but the service was a little slow, so be patient. read more

Best Thai Tea EVER! Very affordable for the organic, unprocessed ingredients they use

This business was one of the vendors we ordered from at an event in Palm Springs. We got a couple milkshakes and what was truly remarkable was the ungodly length of time it took for the order to be ready. There were many employees behind the counter, but they were roaming around like zombies and chit chatting with each other, then bumping into things and knocking things over like the keystone milkshake makers. It took almost an HOUR for TWO MILKSHAKES to get made! The vendor we ordered our lunch from took about 15 minutes to have our order ready, and they had less employees and just as many customers. It would have been comical except we were waiting in sweltering heat with small children who were growing progressively unhappy, Perhaps Tim's does better at their home base, I don't know, but this mobile operation was a disaster. read more

i got the halo halo which is a filipino dessert/drink where you mix up a bunch of different ingredients along with shaved ice and ice cream. this one had ube ice cream, red beans, red sugar palms, jackfruit, coconut shavings, ube jam, milk, condensed milk, pinipig, and leche flan to top it all off! let me just say that it was multitude of flavors that just worked so well together. i also got tims thai tea which is brewed with fresh tea leaves. i loved that it wasn't too sweet or too bland. i could really taste the tea and not just creamer like at some other places. it went perfectly with the lobster balls and shrimp balls. it was a bite of goodness accompanied by a lemony dipping sauce. if youre ever in the la area definitely check them and the filled market out! its a fil(ipino) led market filled with filipino delicacies! its also a great way to support small businesses. read more

Truly the best! I can sincerely say they go above and beyond!! The thai tea and Melon drink are my absolute favorite! You can taste the brewed tea leaves in the tea. This is not just any thai tea. The melon drink is SO refreshing!! Not too sweet which I LOVE. And their appetizers are made so hot and fresh! The SAUCE is what got me.
