They had a sign that said they were open from 630-3 (it was 130 when we arrived) and a neon open sign but the door was locked. There were people in there and the cashier ignored us. Another group came up as well and peered in. The woman came out and yelled at us so we left. Truly bizarre. We just wanted lunch after a nice hike in ouray. read more

We were highly disappointed with the atrocious customer service from the cashier (she was incredibly rude when answering simple questions and they had ran out of quite a few items on the menu), the owner was using profanity and the food took FOREVER! I would give less than one star if it was an option. The man at the counter (owner ?) was so rude and apparently needs new batteries in his watch. Tried twice to stop by to buy donuts. Second attempt, the door was locked with a sign that read : we close between 10-11 to get ready for lunch. Busiest week of the year. I've never seen a Deli close between 10-11. Even so, it was after 11 when we were told that they were closed "no matter what door we came through". Incredibly obnoxious. Instead we went down the street for the best voted burger in town for the second day in a row. Go for the burger down the street and skip the donuts. read more

This place is terrible! It looked harmless enough from the exterior, with a nice terrace where we could sit with our dog and enjoy the view. The menu was pretty boring and limited. My husband chose a simple chicken sandwich, the kids; mac and cheese with fries and I chose half a club sandwich and a cup of potato soup. We went up to the counter to order and were met by a very indifferent and unhelpful man. After waiting for at least 30 minutes, we got our food. The first thing I was dissapointed to see, was the kids mac and cheese. It is a pet peeve of mine to go to a restaurant and pay $6 for box mac and cheese. If you are going to call yourself a restaurant at least make the effort to boil some pasta a make a cheese sauce. My husbands chicken sandwich had a chicken breast which was cooked about 2/3, raw in the center, our dog enjoyed that. My sandwich was by far the worst. I took one bite and realized I tasted no bacon. During my bacon search I found no bacon, but I did find a nice dead fly enbedded in my turkey. Our dog enjoyed that sandwich also. Finaly I turned to my cup of potato soup, suspiciously I took one bite and was met with a small piece of potato surrounded by pasty white glop. Very good breakfast. We make a habit of not visiting the same place twice while in Ouray but we went to Timberline a few times. It is excellent. Based on just one excellent interaction, perhaps giving a 5 star should not be considered an exaggeration! We had gyro, salad and chips. The beautiful lady who took our order had a friendly and patient demeanor.-important things for service industry! Since we were not too hungry, we split the order. The lady brought us an extra bag of chips!! It is the thoughtfulness that goes long ways...The restaurant was clean, offered variety and looked pretty too:). Absolutely the best donut I have ever had. Light, fluffy, but with a body and chewy. Flavorful, fresh as can be. Man at the counter, maybe the owner, was very friendly and helpful. If you're in Ouray in the morning, stop and get a donut, you won't regret it. read more

Grabbed a quick breakfast heading out of town. They open esrly, which is awesome. Yummy food, friendly staff, nice and clean

We waited in line to get donut holes and coffee. When it was our turn, the man told us to wait and called over our heads to the people in line behind us and asked if they wanted their food to eat here or take it with them. He then took the remaining donut holes and passed them to the people behind us. So when he asked what we wanted, I said that I was going to order the donut holes, and he said that they were his friends who came in every day and he would serve them first every time. So I said, "I guess we're not you're friends." Then my husband said, "well this will be our last time." And he said, "GOOD!" We have eaten there several times before only because there are not many breakfast places in Ouray. The food is ok, but it's expensive and the man behind the counter is never friendly. This time he went too far and we will buy pre-packaged store donuts next time. DON'T waste your time and money. The food is not good enough to put up with rude customer service. read more

Pretty good lunch spot. Enjoyed the views of the canyon wall from the front patio, our dog sat next to our table under some bushes. A bit disappointed that they didn't have fried chicken, which, judging from other reviews isn't a first. Very friendly staff, quality ingredients. Average food and highly over priced for absolutely nothing. I ordered the rainbow chicken salad that was supposed to have strawberries, almonds, blueberries, chicken, broccoli etc... It literally had 6 shredded pieces of chicken , 1 cut up strawberry and NO blueberries, NO carrots and NO almonds. All for the low price of $12 . On top of it the service was very slow. read more

Had the breakfast options provided by a hotel in town (3 days). Service, food and ambience are all good to very good. Food is made to order by the 1-2 persons onsite so it takes awhile to receive it, but just plan on that in your schedule. read more

Food was bland and overpriced. More fat on my pulled pork than anything else. Horrible customer service. The guy at the register refused to give me a receipt. He literally yelled at me and accused me of being dishonest because I wanted a receipt. No wonder this place was the only place in town that wasn't crowded on the 4th of July. Had the avocado, turkey and bacon that everyone is raving about!! I can say that I will agree with the others......it was awesome!!
