TK92 is a AYCE Korean BBQ spot in our rotation. We generally stick with the lower priced Deluxe option. You cook yourself, though staff are readily present to help with banchan refills and grill replacements, which happen very often. Our favorite meats are the thin sliced pork belly and LA galbi. Banchan include a salad, japchae, pajon, macaroni salad, rice paper, broccoli, fish cake, radish. This time around, we learned you need to request kimchi and that they had eliminated cucumber. We wish they'd bring back cucumber because it adds an acidic element. Steamed egg is included in the AYCE and that might be my favorite part of TK92! read more

Extremely disappointing experience. From the moment we walked in, nobody acknowledged or helped us, even though more than 70% of the restaurant was empty. We waited around 20 minutes until a male server with tattoos finally came over, but instead of seating us first, he seated a group of five who had just arrived after us. Absolutely ridiculous. The entire experience only got worse from there. Nobody came to check on us, replace the grill, or even take our order unless we repeatedly asked multiple times. It honestly felt like they didn't want us there at all. After finally being able to place a second round order near the end of the meal, the quality of the meat was noticeably worse than the first round. The beef tongue even looked dark and old. We paid for the premium menu, yet received terrible service and low-quality food. Definitely not worth the price, and we left extremely frustrated. read more

They didn't have pork jowl and the server said it would be a few weeks till they got more, kinda sad about that :c. And they no longer have ice cream for dessert. Haven't been here since 6 years ago ! happy to try it again after so long.. I really enjoyed the bachans here because of the Korean pancake, macaroni pasta and broccoli. Their kimchi is really good as well. Service was really good as servers were very attentive. I really enjoyed the steamed egg, spicy myun, beef tongue and garlic shrimps ! A lot has changed since the last time I was here. They do not have the higher price points which will have dry aged meats, there isn't ice cream anymore or shake shake rice, there isn't anymore mouth wash in the restroom anymore.. but I can say the experience is good for a Korean BBQ place. I recommend just going for their Prem AYCE. $39.99 is a pretty decent price especially with the amount of ban chan they offer here . I would recommend the kimchi fried rice, the beef tongue, prem marinated meat. The staff is quite friendly and attentive, making sure they change out your grill. Keep in mind at this time (Jan 2025) they are remodeling, and looking forward to seeing how the inside will look after, as they used to have some arcade games. Meant to go to a different place, but the wait was an hour so we looked around for another barbecue spot and found this place. At first we weren't sure if we were gonna love it but the food was great. The service was fast and I can't get over how cute this place is inside When you enter your greeted by a big robot figurine then you walk in some more and you find a Photo Booth of course you have to pay for it but it's cute. You walk in further. There's some clothes pin chairs. You can sit at if you need to wait. They seated pretty fast. All the Korean barbecue meats delicious and the price is decent. This is a cool spot! It's much bigger than I had thought and there's pretty cool decor and things to do before/after you eat. There's some cool arcade games and a photobooth that you can take pictures in for a fee. The dining area is relatively big and the tables are spaced out from each other which I appreciated. There weren't too many people so service was quick. Servers were really friendly and constantly checked into our table. The food was pretty delicious. I really enjoyed the ban chan. This place has really gone downhill and I haven't been here in over a year. Let's start with the banchan, what a joke. The kimchi wasn't fresh, the rice paper was tiny and shriveled, and that was basically it. Quality-wise, it's at the bottom compared to other spots in Garden Grove (like Shik Do Rak). You'd think they'd make up for it with good service, but nope, t was one of the worst. We were served soup with no spoons (and I think they were plastic), waited on utensils until I asked again, and even had to remind them about my rice after ordering it. We also ordered soju and had to follow up again. If your server's name is Roger, do yourself a favor and ask for someone else. He acted like he didn't want to be there. Honestly, he's lucky my friend was treating me -- I wouldn't have left him an 18% tip for that level of service. The meat quality was so good and so fresh, you can tell right away by the color and taste. Our server Erick honestly made the whole experience. Super friendly, always smiling, and really attentive. We came in starving and he brought everything out quickly, changed our grill often, and made sure we had all the sides we wanted (and even extra). We were joking around with him too and the whole dinner just felt easy and enjoyable. The wait was about 25 minutes on a Saturday night, which is great. Their interior is nicely decorated and clean. Came here years ago for my dad's birthday and decided to come again since we had a great experience for a big party... but that definitely isn't true anymore. Made a reservation a week before for 11 people. They insured me that they had a table big enough. Tell me why the day of we are literally squished into a corner table that should be for 8. We had to add chairs to the end ourselves since it seems they forgot the reservation was for 11 even though they texted and called me to check multiple times. there is basically no space to add these chairs as it's literally 2 feet away from the wall and the next table. Due to us being so uncomfortable it was hard to enjoy our meal. Food was alright nothing special. I like how they have unlimited steam egg. It was my first time here. Came with a party of 2 on Friday at 5:40pm. Positives: Hardly any wait. I was super impressed by the interior design and all the ayce options. The guy at the front desk was very friendly greeting us. The meats were fresh, but that's all the nice things there were to say. Negatives: The service! A female employee unenthusiastically shows us to the button game and then walked us to our table and dropped one menu and left, not saying anything which dampened the mood a little bit. Our server didn't ask if it was our first time and didn't give off friendly vibes, just took orders. When plates were dropped off the servers said nothing, which felt odd. Sides- The mashed potatoes were peppery with vegetables, which isn't what I was accustomed to, I prefer sweet mashed potatoes. The picked radish wasn't pickled enough, and had a strong smell. Not sweet as expected. Idk if I expected too much from the service but even my friend noticed the lack of it. What a shame the service and sides couldn't have been better. You come it expecting a fun vibe, but then when service comes, you get disappointed. I won't be coming back despite its convenient location. read more

From start to finish, my friend and I had a great time eating, chatting, and enjoying the fun decor at TK92! It was our first time here, and it definitely won't be our last! We dined in on a Wednesday night around 6 PM and were seated immediately. So glad there wasn't a line! The restaurant line is bright enough to spot right away and it's located in a busy plaza with underground parking. Note to be more careful when parking since the parking spaces are so compact and small. We got the Deluxe BBQ for $36.99 a person, which included all our favorites to be happy eaters. We had a large selection of over 25+ items to order and we didn't even get to try everything we want since we got so full after round 2 haha! They limit to 3 meat plates per order so we started with 2x of the brisket and beef tongue to start. We also got to try the rib finger, pork belly, and mushroom & onion veggies in the second round. I'd personally skip on the mushroom & onion the next time, as they just dried up on the grill in the end. We did have to ask our server to turn up the grill since I love to grill my meat to be more crispy/burnt on the edges. For sides, I'd come back just for their steamed egg - I am still thinking about it now as I am typing this. The steamed egg was so fluffy, light, and poofed up to be sky high! Again, I'd come back just for their perfect steamed egg. I do want to note their kimchi was a little over-fermented I believe; the texture wasn't crunchy anymore and was very soft. I enjoyed their radish paper and broccoli sides, though! Special shoutout to our waiter and waitress for constantly coming back to refill our waters and check on us. I love how it's Korean martial arts-inspired, with the "TK" standing for Taekwondo I think. They really hone in on the fun theme with their wall murals and fun decor. Limited parking upstairs, but plenty of parking in the underground structure. They're located in the same plaza as Motto Tea Cafe on Valley Blvd. We usually get the most expensive selection which is the premium bbq priced at $39.99/person. The beef brisket, beef tongue, and marinated short ribs are our favorite meats. Their spicy tofu soup and kimchi fried rice are also very popular and delicious. Service is quick and friendly. Forget any other kbbq places in the area. FORGET THEM. Been going here for years, and although they changed the menu a bit during/after Covid it's still an unbeatable price for the quality. Don't skip their special kalbi on the premium menu. I don't even like kalbi to be honest but their house special one is soooOooOoOoo good. And also don't skip their jjolmyeon!!!!!! Fair warning it actually does really have quite a kick to it but my god their sauce is so good. I asked for the recipe and they wouldn't give it to me, hehe. They have two menus with one being a few dollars more expensive (with a few more premium options). We got the more expensive one at $39.99 which gave us access to the full menu. Anytime I'm in L.A. I always make time to come here for some yummy korean bbq. We always go premium so we can enjoy all the different meats they have available. The steam egg is quite enjoyable and delicious. Watch out because it is super hot when served. One of my other favorite sides was the kimchi fried rice. I ate 2 portions myself, hehe! My favorite meat has to be the Galbi. I couldn't stop ordering more. It was so delicious it just melts in your mouth. Try it, you won't regret it. We came on the weekend so it was pretty busy. Service was kinda of slow but it's expected with the hungry weekend crowd. I love the comfortable waiting area they provide for customers. It's definitely a casual vibe.
