Perhaps one of the best French Toast dishes that I've had to date. Let's lead with that.....I've had a lot of French toast too, a lot of really good French toast at that. Passing by, I would not have expected that this place would earn my 5-star.....but they definitley did. I stopped here before work. They opened up at 6:30a which afforded me the time to arrive and enjoy this place. I arrived at opening time and was seated immediately. The diner atmosphere was decorated with all types of toast-shaped or otherwise toast-themed art. I really like a place that leans into it's theme and vIbe. I took a few minutes and decided that I needed to be eating some sort of French Toast in honor of the restaurant's namesake and theme. It wouldn't be right otherwise. There were several options. I selected the Burbon Pecan French Toast despite not being a huge fan of pecans (wise choice in the end!) I expected a average looking French toast dish, but what I got was so much more! The French toast was made from what appeared to be French Bread (YES! YES! PLEASE!). It was oblong sliced and battered perfectly. Dripping with maple bourbon syrup and pecan crumbles that accented the dish nicely. While the syrup was not a stand out Among syrups, it suited the toast nicely and did not overpower the flavor. There are a few restaraunts in the area that I believe are a must-try and this is one of them. I'll definitley be back on a future triiodothyronine in town. read more

Toast, I love you!!! From your adorable toast-themed artwork on the walls, and your fun and creative menu (with a cool and original font, I must say), to your absolutely mouthwatering breakfast options.. everything about you is my favorite! When we were sat down and were given the menu, I was completely overwhelmed-- in a good way. Everything sounded great and it was hard to choose what to order! Omelets, lots of southwestern breakfast burrito choices, way too many imaginative pancakes to choose from (maybe the flight next time!) and benedict options too! Now I know, no matter what I would have chosen, I wouldn't have been disappointed. After going back and forth for a while, I ended up getting the berries and cream french toast. When our plates came out not even 5 minutes after we ordered, I was astounded by the size of my meal! Two monstrous pieces of "toast"-- practically half a loaf of bread, joked the diners at the table next to us, who couldn't help but stare-- smothered in berries, a cream cheese sauce and whipped cream. Syrup or anything extra was not needed, this french toast had plenty of flavor and excitement by itself. That thick bread was so airy and tasty that I ended up eating almost all of it, way more than I thought I was going to be able to do, but I just couldn't put my fork down! But even after absolutely adoring my own breakfast, the real star of the show (in my eyes) was my husband's order of poutine! We love a good breakfast poutine topped with sunny side up eggs, but this went above and beyond. It was not traditional in any way, with a thick sausage gravy instead of the usual beef version. Have to say, I'm not a huge gravy person in general, but this one changed my mind! And while poutine is usually served with cheese curds, this one was extra cheesy with TONS of ooey-gooey cheesiness spread alllll over those salt-and-pepper fries. I was worried about finishing my own gigantic meal, but couldn't stop myself from reaching over and stealing (way too many) bites off Hubby's plate. No shame. Now that I know what Toast has to offer (because I was drooling as I watched every plate that came out of the kitchen), I will most definitely be back to explore their entire menu! This review is based off Toast's eats from a Grubhub order via Yelp during the COVID outbreak. Was excited to try out Toast even though we were not able to eat in. I ordered the CHICKEN FRIED STEAK w BREAKFAST POTATOES and SOURDOUGH TOAST being as I missed a little bit of my home in Texas. I was sorely disappointed when I opened my styrofoam box to see it had been fried until burned. I'm sad to see the chef thought it was appropriate to send this off to a human being to consume. Delicious food! We ordered for pickup and had already paid for our food, and they still went the extra mile to create a really memorable experience for us. They invited us to sit at an outside table, pulled up a space heater, continued to check on us, and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We got the raspberry white mocha and my husband got a "black and white" mocha. Both were very delicious and sweet. So if you are not a sweet tooth, these drinks may not be for you. We also got the nutty pancakes (which have Nutella on them) and other goodies on them. My husband thought they didn't need syrup given how much was already on them. We also got the crab cake eggs Benedict, which was very good. The side of potatoes was good, but nothing unique. We had to park on the streets because parking was full. My sister had eggs benedict with crab cakes so I like that they have interesting options. The hash browns were standard and could've been better if they were crispier. They are out of this world and the Bourbon Pecan French Toast might be the best french toast I've ever had in my life. My quest for the perfect brunch place in Denver is ongoing. Toast measured up fine, but not the best. My quest continues. What I appreciated most about Toast, was the EXPERIENCE provided by ther server. So many places I go, servers are just order takers. David was a wonderful exception. He was warm, friendly, cracked a couple great jokes, explained the concept of the restaurant for us first-timers, and gave a great navigation of the menu with his recommendations. I appreciated all of this so much. His service didn't stop once we ordered - he was always available and checking back to make sure we were satisfied, without being overbearing. What's more, he rectified a couple kitchen mishaps for us, allowing us to leave pleased with our time and money spent (saving what would have been a 2/3 star experience). I also appreciated the complimentary coffee for those waiting for a table. Nice cart set up outside with all the fixings, great on a chilly morning! Small things like this go a long way! Food pros -creative menu with a lot of variety for everyone's tastes. Crab, steak, bacon, ham, fried chicken, etc. A few vegetarian options, but this is more of a meat lovers type place. Also a good selection of creative pancakes. -all food made from scratch, in house -flexible on substitutions (i.e. toast for pancakes, biscuits, cinnamon roll, etc) -chips on chilaquiles cooked perfectly with perfect amount of sauce. I also loved the combo of pickled onions, raw red onions. -chicken fried steak breaded and cooked perfectly -great carnitas -ample portions and not skimpy with accompaniments Food, room for improvement -more flavor/seasoning. The gravy was average and the sauce on the chilaquiles could have used some heat/spice -cotija on chilaquiles?....I didn't see any. Plus more crema would have amplified the dish.  -roasted potatoes were a little undercooked and underseasoned -cinnamon roll was dry I'll give Toast another shot - and you should give it a try too! I've eaten at toast several times and the food and service is always stellar. We've never waited more then 10 minutes for our food to come out after ordering (even when getting 4-5 dishes) and the staff is always attentive. The dishes that stick out are the poutine and the specialty French toast. I haven't tried any of the eggs Benedict so I can't speak on that. There can be a wait on weekends but you can get on the waitlist beforehand and when you're seated the service is beyond excellent. read more

This place was clean with cute and corky decoration throughout the restaurant. Staff all wore masks and social distancing . Got a peach berry crumble pancake which was really good, peach on top and inside the pancake too. The crumble sugar makes it sweet enough but it comes with the honey syrup too if you want it even sweeter. It was big pancake, maybe enough for two person to share. Tomato soup was just ok, kinda plain and salty. Crab cake eggs Benedict was the most flavorful one I've ever had. We didn't like the side potatoes, kind of cold and some were still raw. We were excited to try the new location. Came in for brunch for 4. I ordered the chicken and biscuits and my kids ordered pancakes. Overall, the food tasted fine. The hash browns were flavorless except for the chunks of onion. One of my daughters pancakes still had some raw dough in parts. I think what really bothered me was that everything came out room temperature. It seemed like it had all been sitting around for a long time by the time they brought it out. We were truly surprised because the food came out really fast. I'm not sure how it happened. Every plate tasted close to or at room temp but the order took maybe 20 mins from the time we ordered. I honestly cannot say enough about this place :) first off the fact they've been around a while should speak volumes. small local family business, geared toward families and kids. the food quality is delicious. the customer service is exceptional at all times through the busy times. I had took my mom there for her birthday breakfast. there were 8 of us and we only waited MAYBE 15 minutes. I think the parking lot scares people yes its small but there's ample street parking. the avocado toast is amazing, and the pancake flight let's you sample whatever pancakes you wanna try but can't choose just one. the lemon blueberry ones are pretty awesome:) oh yeah! I love the fact that this is one of the few places that doesn't feel the need to add alcohol to their menu, as there's plenty of "brunch" places that will provide you with the alcohol experience. I can actually enjoy GOOD food pretty soon with my kids as I'm not there for anything else. and the severs care about their tables! other places have quite a wait because they cater to the "brunch crowds" that tend to linger because it's a full blown happy hour. so lookong forward to going back already! read more

I have always loved Toast but I took my daughter there this morning. We waited 40 minutes to get a table which is usually worth it. Waiter took our order, food was there in probably 4 minutes and my eggs were at best soft boiled. My favorite part of eggs Benedict is that "money bite." Hostess staff is incredible. We've been going to Toast for some time now, since they were at their old location near old downtown Littleton.  It's nice to see most of the same faces on staff at the new location and speaks volumes to how the restaurant must be managed and operated.  On this last visit, I had the sausage and cheese omelet with an upgraded side of French Toast.  Our food came out super-fast but still tasted fresh and caringly made.  The sausage and cheese omelet uses sausage links cut up into little coins, might be a little better with ground sausage but that's a minor thought.  The potatoes were just the right balance of crispy and tender.  The French Toast.....they certainly live up to their moniker in their well....toast items.  I usually love syrup....I bathe my pancakes in the stuff until their soaked up and sometimes falling apart - same with my French toast - but here at Toast, their rendition does not need a whole lot of syrup.  I did put some....but not nearly the gallon (jk) I usually use.  The dish could definitely stand on its own if you choose to forgo the syrup.   Lively atmosphere, friendly & consistent staff, delicious food....you can't go wrong with a trip to Toast. read more
