Staff is so sweet. My son had the Belgian Waffle with cream and berries. Light and delicious. Berries were fresh and sweet. I had the Cali Toast with over medium eggs and potatoes. So incredibly delicious. You don't expect it to be filling but it's almost 8 hours later and I'm still full. The avocado is creamy and the cracked red pepper, garlic salt and lemon juice are the perfect seasoning. The eggs were a little more well done than I prefer but I know "over medium" is subjective so I won't dock a star for that. My husband had a Denver omelette that looked yummy but a table nearby had the Spanish omelette and that looked even better. We split the Nuts and Berries dessert toast after lunch and it was sinful as expected. The crown jewel for this pregnant lady? The cucumber lemonade. Seriously tastes like a virgin craft cocktail and the refills are complimentary. I was tempted to ask if I could purchase it by the gallon. They even gave me one over ice in a to-go cup for the ride home. I can't stop thinking about it. My husband had the Strawberry Lemonade and said it was amazing. I can't wait to come back! Came here for the first time today for my sons 12th birthday. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time. We waited over 20 mins just for our drinks. I had to ask twice. The waitress seemed a little out of it. But any who, the manager came over to apologize, said they were having WiFi issues and would comp our drinks and half the food for the inconvenience. We definitely didn't think that was necessary but thanked him anyway. I had the traditional Eggs Benedict which the taste was good but my food was super cold as if it was sitting out for some time. The biscuit was harder than a rock, completely uneatable. My sons "filet mignon" came practically still walking even though we ordered it medium well. Had to send back to finish cooking it. Husbands food was COLD!! His coffee was lukewarm. The hash browns were french fries lol! After eating what we could, we asked THREE times for a to go box and cup for my sons drink and food. It never came. Even with the drinks taken off and half the ticket comp'd we still paid almost $40 for food that was nearly McDonald's level. Completely not worth it. I went in on a Sunday morning so the restaurant was fairly busy. It is a small restaurant so I definitely would not recommend it for bigger parties. There is a nice patio outside and it is pet friendly so that's a nice plus. I strongly recommend trying out one of their signature "toasts" the bread was amazing! Extra crunchy and fresh. If toast isn't your cup of tea they do offer other food selections but keep in mind it's a healthier selection (no sodas, etc) Overall I enjoyed my first experience, the hostess was very attentive and I appreciated her customer service. Hands down, this place has the best breakfast EVER!!!! My boyfriend and I tried it for the first time on Valentine's Day and it was just awesome. The servers were really nice and would check up on us. We actually didn't know there was a certain way to serve our tea after we started drinking it, so our server gave us a brand new pitcher of tea and ice and explained it to us. This place has a cozy feel to it... like if I were at home. It was pretty packed but we got seated right away and it didn't take them long to make our food either so that was great. Only sad thing is they close early... personally, I like breakfast for dinner but I'm willing to overlook that. I really wanted to love this place. I consider myself a toast connoisseur and was so excited when a place opened up in Whittier. After seeing a post on Instagram, my husband and I decided to give toast a try. We got to the restaurant at about 9 am on Saturday. The place wasn't crowded but wasn't dead either. I ordered the sunny side toast with a coffee and my husband ordered the Cali fresh with a cold brew. After we ordered it took about 45 minutes for us to get our food. They did tell us they were short staffed, but 45 mins is a long time to wait for toast. The servings are large and are worth the price. My husband devoured his Cali fresh and I couldn't even finish my second slice of toast. I gave four stars because of the wait. I know this is a relatively new restaurant and I hope they work their kinks out, especially if they are going to advertise on Instagram. read more

I tried Toast today with a friend after seeing the amazing reviews. My friend was a bit skeptical about being able to have a satisfactory meal that revolves around toast. She and I were both blown away by how amazing our meals were. I had the cucumber salmon toast with a side of potatoes and a lavender latte--SO AMAZING. It was flavorful and filling and I couldn't even finish it! The potatoes tasted very flavorful but not too overpowering. & The lavender latte is a must have for coffee lovers. I can't remember what the toast was called that my friend had, but it was the one with avocado, egg, and bacon (I think that was all), with a side of ham. She said it was delicious and very unexpectedly filling. The setting was also a very cute one. My friend joked that she felt like a Kardashian with how "glamorous" it was, especially for photos. I wanna like this place. The atmosphere is pleasant, waitresses are friendly. We've been here three times so far so here's my issue with this place. Cold food, especially potatoes are a deal breaker. It's happened twice so far, once to me and my wife. Once to my daughter. How is this okay? I should've been that guy and complained the first time... figured I'd give them a break.
