We discovered this gem about 3 weeks ago, and am so glad that we did! The food is fresh and delicious, staff is great, and the coffee is outstanding! This has quickly become my favorite local breakfast spot, and I have no idea why anyone would go to a chain when this place is nearby. My visit this weekend was my first time stopping into this new restaurant for brunch with friends. We were a party of three adults, an infant in car seat, and a toddler and when we first arrived and ordered there was a shortage of indoor table seating. Fortunately, a large party that was loitering post-meal moved before our food was ready and we were able to occupy a table. I was very pleased that the cafe has several highchairs readily accessible - that's always a gamble when going out to eat with a small person. I had the grain bowl which was a hearty portion and quite delicious. I would definitely order that again on a return visit. Empty coffee urns were replaced upon request. My husband, myself, and our toddler stopped in around 8:30 for breakfast. We are new to the area and this is the best breakfast we've had so far. It was a much more casual atmosphere than I expected. You order at the counter and they call your name when the food is ready. We split the Wild Hog Burrito and it was really good. It doesn't come with any sides though so in the future we will probably order more food. The burrito was a good size but big enough for an ambitious person to eat alone. A woman next to us had a dish with kale and sweet potatoes in it and she said she really enjoyed it. The prices were decent but the service was a teeny bit slow. I would have never found this place but, thanks to Help and all of the great reviews we ventured out. We just moved to the area and this place was a gem. It's so hard to find a good breakfast spot for quick and good meals when you don't have alot of time. The selection was great and the food did not disappoint. The Toasted Oat Cafe is an awesome breakfast/brunch spot that NEVER disappoints! Their dining room is spacious and comfortable with a hipster vibe. Service has always been very helpful and friendly each time we've visited, and we embarrassingly have shown up just before closing each time and have never been treated rudely or rushed (sorry guys!). All food is made from scratch, comes out amazingly quick (what's the secret?) and is simply delicious. I mean, hit the spot, so good. Our favorites are the Whole Hog Burrito (with extra Chipotle Aioli) and the Rueben Bowl. We've also had their cookies and muffins (which they will warm up for you), all tasty and worth the calories. Our only wish is that The Toasted Oat stayed open past 2 pm on the weekend (they are, however, open until 3 pm during the week)! We can't wait to go back again. I came here for a lunch break and it is a pretty cozy cafe as far as that goes. I got a grain bowl which was very filling and satisfying with sweet potato tots, veggies, barley, turkey, and eggs. The food at this place was amazing, however the wait time was not. We waited almost an hour for two breakfast burritos. While I would recommend the food, I would not recommend waiting in the restaurant for the food. Whenever anyone called ahead for a pick up order they told them it would be ready in 15 minutes.
