    Mimosa flight

It was pretty... But that's about it. I'm really bummed about the experience my family and I had here on Mother's Day. Giving 2 stars because there was a single waiter who although was almost in tears, kept a smile on his face and was extremely pleasant. I'll start with arrival... got there around 1:40pm and added to a waitlist that per the young lady at front would be 1.5hrs which I was ok with. Around an hour into our wait in the car in the below parking area we went to to check on status only to see the place was emptying and according to the person at check in (not same girl) they texted us over 30mins ago after expressing no messages came in and seeing another family saying the exact same thing behind me she decided to get the manager... after waiting a few minutes she came back with a bit of an attitude and said "well is your whole party here right now" I said yes, and quickly scooped them out of the car. Upon being seated at a table in the back and waiting another hour 15-20mins with just menus a waitress from a different area approached and asked if we had ordered once we said no, she quickly took ALL orders at once and said they're closing. Drinks came out fairly quickly and food was another 15mins or so. When food arrived it was cold l, sloppy and although 3 of us ordered the same thing we were each missing ingredients. We didn't make a fuse as we understood the pressure of the day. But I'll tell you, if you aren't equipped to service crowds of this nature, you should absolutely scale back the number of guest you allow and NOT accept both reservations and walk ins. Won't be back, should've gone next door to Chevys, at least I would have known what to expect.

I come here pretty often. Always get the machaca and this is what it looked like. I complained saying i cant eat it due to HOW MUCH OIL is in it. Manager said he cant do anything about it and still had to pay for it. Didnt even get to eat half of it. Said the oil is from the meat. Yes i understand that. But you served me tablespoons of oil. Will not be coming back.

Now Roosters started out 5 Star but I had to drop it down because of a few things. Started out good with Bloody Mary, it wasn't the best one I have ever had but it was good. When we ordered our food it came before the silverware and we asked 2 servers only for me to have to get up and get it myself. Our server was also the bartender so we had to ask other servers for service. Other than that I liked the food and the view. Would I go back? Yes !

We were told that the wait for brunch on Sunday was about 20-30 minutes but it really took less than 10. We sat outside and the patio was cute and clean but could have used some insect repellant. Services was extremely slow. After about 10-15 minutes with no water and no service, someone asked if we had been helped yet and took our drink and food order. Then she let us know that the kitchen was running behind and food would take about 35-40 minutes to come out. I didn't time it but after about 30/40 minutes the waitress came back to say it would take another 10-15 minutes. She asked if I wanted a refill and I declined but then I changed my mind after about 5 minutes and we it took about another 5 minutes to flag down a server to ask for another drink. They quickly brought a new one out and apologized for the wait, which was appreciated. After getting the food service did pickup and the checkout process was not terrible. We got the pancake combo plate with eggs, hashbrowns and bacon and everything was solid. We also got the chicken and waffles which was also good. The strawberry compote was great. The California mimosa was great and the mint blackberry mimosa was good. We would go again but with some bug spay before and expect a long wait. Don't go starving or in a rush.

Came here for breakfast as it's on the riverside. There's a great selection of breakfast dishes along with Mexican fusion dishes. Sailors Omelette (5/5): Comes with salmon, crab, and shrimp. Definitely recommend this if you love seafood for breakfast. I really hope to come back for their margarita deals.

The location is phenomenal. It's right on the river that has like a downtown-forest view with is so nice. Sitting on the second floor really opens up the natural lighting here. It's on Garden highway so the cars do pass by quickly and turning in can be a pain sometimes. The parking lot is large but always full. The spots are also very tiny and can be difficult to get out at times. The service was great. I came in a large party and our server helped us with ease. Our food came within 10 minutes and I had no complaints. The hamburger was juicy and tasted fresh. The fries could have used a bit more love in my opinion. The prices are about average with a restaurant. Each dish is about $20 while drinks are about $9. They have some really cool looking margaritas here. Expect around $40 for a breakfast for two. Bottom line/TLDR: decent brunch but amazing views.

Finally got to come to Roosters to see what all the talk was about. I was not disappointed. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a welcoming staff and beautiful aesthetics. As far as the food, we were given large portions. Even the kids meal we ordered for our son. Everything came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. I ordered the mimosa flight which was a was really good. Our waitress (Dulce?) was so sweet and constantly checked on us. Highly recommended coming!

Let me start off by saying this is a Mexican family owned restaurant with an amazing selection on the menu. I ordered the crabcakes Benedict with country potatoes on the side and it was so good. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. She answered all my questions with no hesitation. They also provide live music, well in this case it was one man with a guitar who serenaded me in Spanish with my own choice of selection, which was wonderful. Not much of a drinker, but they do have an amazing menu for mimosas and the fact that it's on the river and you get to sit out on the patio and watch the water and the boat and enjoy the beautiful air is superb. I will definitely be coming back and trying something new on the menu I don't doubt that it will also taste amazing.

Skips to the door with my bestie in our fall best. A table for two outside please. The assortment of options for beverages is vast but sorry I'm traditional. Bottle service and two plain juices. Mimosas with a laugh of juice. The food descriptions sounded promising. The good was okay. Let's be honest, but we're here for the river n sunshine. Recommend for brunch.

It's alway nice to dine on the river and Roosters is a great location for that especially on a nice day. Stopped by on a late Saturday afternoon and thought it would be quick since it wasn't busy. It took about 35m for 2 street tacos and chicken flautas. The server was quick to take or order and checked on us often just a very long delay in getting our food. The food was ok. I liked how they have a happy hour menu.

I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately the experience was very disappointing from start to finish. The biggest issue was the food. I ordered the Roosters Chilaquiles, and they came out cold, with no flavor. The meat looked very pale and like it had a disease ,My husband ordered the Chilaquiles Norteños with chorizo and asada, and both meats were undercooked--raw in the center, with visible blood. When we brought this to the bartender /servers attention, he acknowledged it wasn't right. At that point, we decided to just close out our tab this is unacceptable While waiting, we had drinks (mezcal with pineapple, a michelada with Modelo Negra, and a Modelo Negra), which totaled $41. Unfortunately, the drinks didn't make up for the overall experience. We left without eating our meals, and I regret not taking photos. Overall, I would not return. I'm sharing this so others are aware and can make an informed decision before visiting. If we could give this place a 0* we would

Let's begin with our server named "GO-Ready" - she was sweet, pleasant and just the vibe you want around you. Like she seriously could have taken a seat at our table and would fit in! My friends and I came here on a Saturday morning for our early Friendsgiving. We decided with the outdoor seating and got the table with the perfect view of the water. The Inside vibe was just as nice. Place is clean and the drink and food menu were on point! Why just the 3 stars? The food was not good. Presentation was nice - eye candy if anything but it lacked taste and honestly - it lacked authenticity. Bland that we were showering our food with hot sauce to get it to taste decent. I had the Crab Benedict was a generous portion and looked so promising yet left me wanting less. My friend had a salmon dish they was dry, even her rice was dry. Like, how do yiu get rice wrong? Sooo much potential with all our dishes so even though we were disappointed, I would come again to give them a chance cuz their drinks are ok point!!! Their shareable drinks is so cute!! Must have!!! Check out the pics!

    Hidden extra charges

I came here with some coworkers to celebrate a birthday lunch. The location by the river is nice, but unfortunately, the food was mediocre at best and they nickel-and-dime you. I ordered a rooster burger and asked for it to be cooked medium rare, knowing they would probably over cook it a bit. When I received it, the burger was overcooked to medium well or well done and lacked flavor. I asked for some extra aioli sauce to add a bit of taste, along with some ranch for my fries. When I received the bill, I was surprised to see that they charged $1.50 extra for each condiment! I don't like being nickel-and-dimed and overcharged for basic sauces without any notice. If the restaurant plans to charge for items like that, their servers need to inform customers in advance. No one in my party enjoyed their food. Overall, the food is bland and the service policies are shortsighted. I would not recommend, and I will not be returning.

Looking to meet up and chat over a couple drinks, I suggested that a friend and I meet at the Mecca Club. When our Lyft driver dropped us off at the establishment (I highly recommend using a ride sharing app when visiting this bar), I honestly couldn't tell if the business was still in operation. The outside sign was not illuminated, and at the time, the two motorcycles parked outside was the only indication of patrons. However, when we opened the back door (it literally felt like entering a secret society club), we were greeted by a friendly employee named Amy, laughter from some folks at the bar, and the sound of tunes coming from the jukebox. We took a seat at the bar, Amy politely requested to see our ID's (this is a silent compliment when you're in your late 30's), and we placed our orders for our first round of margaritas. As Amy concocted our drinks (she really puts love into making each drink), she greeted the patrons that continued to file in. What really stood out about Amy was her ability to not only remember the names of the regular patrons, but also their drink preferences (now that's what I call exceptional customer service). I did not watch Amy make our drinks; therefore, I cannot attest to how many shots she put in each drink. However, I will say that the drinks that are served here are indeed stiff (by no means am I complaining). Hence, why I suggested that you utilize some form of ride sharing if this is your bar of choice. If you're not in the mood to deal with downtown/midtown parking and the increasing prices of cute craft cocktails, I highly recommend checking out Mecca Club...enjoy and please be safe!

This one man came in and let me tell you, he brought a party with him and partied the entire time. He as about in his 50s and he danced by himself, he danced with the young and the older. He was a whole entire VIBE. We purchased a table for 4 and paid $100 in advance. We were happily surprised to see that when we arrived we received a complimentary champagne and juice for mimosas! Ok so that's the good stuff. Here is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. We paid in advance for a table howevor, they let the people in first who did not have a ticket or a table, so we and others with tables had to wait until they paid and went in first. That defeats the purpose, in my opinion, of paying in advance. I hope they consider to allow advance payees in first. I mean coupled with the champagne, that would make it a complete VIP experience. The service. They had one young lady on the floor and she was stretched thin. She came to our table and took the order of our 2 friends and walked away. She did not take my and my daughters order. I was like what the heck. She walked to the next 2 tables, who had already had their food and took their drink orders. When I got her attention she was like "I know" and then walked to a third table before coming back to our table. I was flabbergasted to say the least. If they did not automatically put a 20% service fee on the bill, please beleive she would have received a lesser tip for that. I dont know if they were short staffed or what, but that was crazy. Please know your credit card will be required to open a tab. They put a 20% service fee on the bill. There is a $200 minimum spend for each table. Leading with that i will add, the minimum spend would not be a problem except, if you don't drink you are stuck with ordering multiple plates of food. I ended up ordering the fried chicken (3 large wings) and a French toast plate. I dont drink beyond mimosa and they do not offer any non alcoholic options aside from juice...at least from what I saw on the menu. The food... Omg, the fried chicken was lukewarm and had no seasoning on it. We doused it in hot sauce, that is how bland it was. The French toast, while pretty, was cold so I did not eat it. The eggs and potatoes were hot and sufficient. No one at our table finished the chicken. The catfish was good and perfectly seasoned. I wish they had seasoned the chicken the way they seasoned the fish. The table next to us did not finish their fish and grits. The lady told me the grits were subpar. Another lady did not eat her breakfast burrito. One person at our table spoke to someone about the bad service we received and they adjusted our bill so we were not required to meet the $200 table minimum. So that was a good save. Overall I would give 5 stars for the vibe. Music. Complimentary champagne. 1 star for the food. I hope they consider revamping their menu and marinating the chicken overnight in some good spices and frying it to order, even if folks have to wait a bit longer. Lukewarm unseasoned chicken for $15 was disappointing. Would i come again, absolutely. I would eat beforehand and not get a table so I dont have to spend $200. I would drink mimosas and party. I do recommend going because despite the food, the party is a VIBE!

Will definitely return here after dinner to sip an espresso martini for dessert!
