I was craving Korean food for dinner, and our friend suggested Tofu Plus. It did the job and satisfied our Korean food craving! We shared a few items, including the bossam, L.A. galbi, and a tofu soup. I thought the bossam was just ok, but I think that's more because I'm not a huge fan of boiled pork belly. The L.A. galbi was flavorful and tender, and I really enjoyed the spiciness of the tofu soup. The service was fine, although they were pretty crowded when we visited. The tables in the middle are also quite close together, so you may end up sitting pretty close to the tables next to you. It might feel a little cramped for some people, but it wasn't a big deal to us.
I've been here a total of two times now, four years apart, and wow the food and service never disappoints. They are very helpful and considerate of what utensils we might need because we were doing it family style. Each dish was sooo delicious. I don't think I had any complaints. Maybe not enough protein for the kalguksu? But I feel like that's typical. Def coming back :)
The food is good, taste very authentic Korean food. We love getting the seafood and beef tofu soup, there's a lot of protein and tofu. The side dishes are also very good. Today we had a tomato one that was very refreshing. They also sell the side dishes in the front, we did buy the tomato one, $10/box. Service is okay, after you get all the food, they don't really check in with you. They just pass by to see if you are almost or done eating to give you the check. Compared to other Korean restaurants, the servers usually check in to see if you need refill on the side dishes. Could just depend on the days? First time I went they had someone push a card with all the side dishes to refill but the second time they did not.
This was my first time here and I was pleasantly surprised. It was pretty crowded but the service was very quick and attentive. We ordered the seafood pancake, combo tofu soup, beef, and hot stone bibimbap. Everything was delicious and tasted as it should have. I think the seafood pancake was my favorite. It had crispy exterior and huge chunks of seafood. The tofu soup was hot and had a lot of tofu. We got medium but it wasn't too spicy. The bibimbap was good with a lot of veggies. Overall it was good and a god comfort food spot.
This place is ample seating and also big portion sizes so it is a great place to bring your friends and family. I came here on 2 separate occasions and I had a good meal both times. The bossam was fatty and juicy and tasted amazing with the radish and sauces. The kalgusku was warm and hearty and had a lot of seafood bits and half a crab. The rest of the dishes were just really well made that satisfies any cravings you may have had walking in. Would definitely come back.
Haven't been in 8 years, but it's still delightful even when dining solo. For lunch, I was served a variety of banchan prior to my stone pit bibimbap. They came by and asked if I wanted any additional dishes even though I hadn't completed all the dishes and I got more of the water radish which is one of my favorites. The bibimbap was delightful in the bright colors (picture is post stirring it up with some sauce). Service was fantastic and the food was delicious and fresh. I think the yolk is usually less cooked to provide a little liquid but it was fine fully cooked. The rice had just the right level of crunch and I had enough for bringing home for dinner later.
Came here around 8 PM on a weekday and was seated pretty quickly, which was a nice start to the meal. They offer a great variety of banchan, which added a lot to the overall dining experience. The highlight of the meal was definitely the beef galbi ribs, tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The bibimbap was also very good and made for a solid second dish. Service was efficient and the food came out quickly, which made the whole dinner feel smooth and enjoyable. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely come back again.
I came here with my sister and niece. My niece's first official Korean cuisine. We ordered seafood soon tofu pot and clam soon tofu pot. It came with a bowl of rice and side dishes. Service was fine. All the foods were delicious. Plenty of tables to sit inside. Overall, I would come back.
The service here is pretty quick. Once you arrive, you get to order your drinks with the server and then the food can be ordered on the iPad that sits on the table. If you're not that tech savvy like me, you can also order with the server as well! The bulgogi comes with a bowl of rice. However, the bulgogi was pretty dry and didn't have that much flavor. The kimchi fried rice was so flavorful and steaming hot! There was a wide variety of side dishes but my favorite one was the fish cakes. You can also ask for a refill on a side dish too!
Yuk gae jang 4/5 - although this isn't a yuk gae jang place, it was still good. The beef could have been a bit more tender. Lots of green onions and broth was flavorful, not too spicy. Side dishes were yummy. The workers seem annoyed when you ask for more side dish though..
Tofu Plus is such a satisfying spot when you want a full Korean meal with lots of variety on the table. The meal felt generous right away because all the banchan came out beautifully arranged, and there was a really nice mix of kimchi, vegetables, fish cake, noodles, and pickled sides that made the whole table look abundant and inviting. The service was fast and super friendly. We ordered cold noodles and a hot stone bowl, and the contrast between the two was especially enjoyable. The cold noodles were very refreshing, chewy, and perfect for a warm day, with a nice savory tang and crisp vegetables on top. The stone bowl was comforting and filling, and I loved mixing everything together while it was still hot. Both dishes felt balanced and satisfying. One of the best parts of the meal was the spread of side dishes. There were so many little bites to go with the mains, and it made the experience feel complete and traditional. The atmosphere was casual and cozy, which made it a great place for a relaxed lunch or dinner. A solid choice when you are craving Korean comfort food with generous portions and plenty of banchan.

I like how they give you 12 banchan! It was a big variety - I particularly liked the eggplant ones which I've never had before. I ordered the wang mandooguk which is my go to at a korean spot and the dumplings were huge! Comes with complimentary rice as well, I thought the broth was not as flavorful as other versions I've had, though i did appreciate the generous portion of rice cakes, meat, egg, and huge dumplings. Service was very quick and efficient. I also tried the tofu soup with medium spice and it wasn't spicy at all (and I have very low spice tolerance) so if you like your soup spicy just keep that in mind! Ambiance inside is lively and bustling. We were seated in a booth which was very comfy.

Best Korean food! All the banchan are so delicious and free refills! The tofu soup is a must but also got the veggie pancakes and it was huge and crispy! Super busy and lots of tables but the staff is attentive and gave us everything g quickly and came around with banchan to refill. High energy and good ambiance for friends or families. read more

A solid place for your standard Korean food like soondubu and seafood pancake! You can't go wrong with Tofu Plus. I've also tried the haemul kalguksoo (not pictured). I thought it was just okay. The seafood flavor was a bit too strong. The noodles were really good! read more

In an area with lots of Korean options, this is definitely one of my go tos. I've been a good handful of times and figured it was about time I leave a review. Despite going for dinner on a Friday evening, there was no wait and my sister and I were seated immediately. Bossam Jungsik: absolutely perfect for these hot summer days. The fatty pork belly with the bright pickled radish and cabbage is exactly what I needed. It was fresh and the flavors went together beautifully. Bibimbap: also good choice for the hot summer. It was good, your standard bibimbap. Banchan: Nice selection of side dishes. Additionally even though we ate in the restaurant, i'm a big fan of the separated container they give you for all the banchan when you order to go. Seafood pancake (not pictured): Per my mom, it was really good this time. It was perfectly crisp on the outside (not soggy) and soft on the inside. I thought it was also quite good, well balanced in terms of the items in the pancake. Seafood tofu stew (also not pictured): A must if you're getting korean food. Even on hot days! Per my sister, they do not skimp on the seafood and it's nice and savory. Servers are attentive and ambiance is lively with conversation! Located in the same plaza as Ranch 99 but in the walkway area right next to Happy Lemon. Tons of parking spots - you can either park in the front or the back areas. If you're looking for some comfort or soupy food on a cold day, Tofu Plus is a great option! For 2, we ordered: - seafood pancake: 3/5 - perfectly crisp on the outside but too soft on the inside, almost seems undercooked so prefer it to be a bit more well done - dumpling tofu soup: 4/5 - very flavorful, wish the gave more dumplings because it was only a couple pieces, and make sure you get your egg - galbitang: 5/5 - broth was a bit under seasoned but nothing salt can't fix, large pieces of beef rib that easily falls off the bone - LA galbi: 4/5 - good flavor, very meaty and thick cuts unlike other places, however some pieces were a bit burnt - banchan: 5/5 - great variety! Overall, food and service were good. Definitely coming back to check out their other soup options and bibimbaps! read more

It gets very busy on the weekend when I come by for dinner but the wait isn't much longer than 10-15 minutes usually for a table of 3-4 They have booths and tables. Lots of groups of friends and family come by. Casual dining Love the banchans and you can ask for refills on them as needed so load up on your sides and veggies They offer water and hot tea when seated Items frequently ordered ; I do it family style so we all have a bit of everything Bossam Jungsik - can do servings for smaller or large group. consists of pork shoulder that is boiled in spices and thinly sliced. The meat is served with side dishes such as spicy radish salad, sliced raw garlic, ssamjang (wrap sauce), saeu-jeot (salted shrimp), kimchi, and ssam (wrap) vegetables such as lettuce , and inner leaves of a napa cabbage. I like to ask for extra radish paper Cold Noodle Soup - can do regular or spicy. cold noodles served in a chilled broth made from beef and/or Korean radish water kimchi. also topped with sliced cucumbers, Korean pears, pickled radishes, boiled beef and boiled egg. These add subtle flavor of sweetness, tanginess and savoriness in between them. Overall the noodles have a very mild and refreshing taste. You add in your own desired amounts of vinegar and mustard Galbi tang- Korean beef short ribs soup, has stewing beef, radish, onions,; a clear hearty soup LA Galbi - style of galbi - barbecued beef short ribs - cut thinly (about ¼ inch thick) across the bones. My friend and I arrived at the restaurant at 12:15 pm on a Saturday afternoon, and it was moderately packed but we were seated immediately. PARKING: The parking situation in Santa Clara isn't the best... The restaurant is surrounded by other business and restaurants so it attracts a high volume of people. I had to circle around for 10 minutes to find parking, and I was able to find parking in the lot with the 99 Ranch Market and walking a bit. AMBIENCE: Spacious venue with lots of great lighting. Good fit for big groups, couples, or solo diners. Get a booth so you have room for you and your party. With a standard table, you might get some neighboring diners. That happened to me, and the host/serves didn't bother to move the tables a bit for distance nor privacy xD SERVICE: Service is fast and efficient. Once you order, the servers bring in wide array of side dishes for you to much on before your meal arrives. ORDERS: I order the beef soup, and it was great to have on a chilly, rainy day. Got a complimentary egg to go with it, and eggs are a luxury in this economy right now. Lots of protein and nutrients packed in the soup. I've gone to this restaurant many times, but finally came around to writing a review for Tofu Plus :) Stopped by for lunch last Friday and still as good as usual. Sides - A lot more sides provided here compared to other restaurants. My favorites would have to be the pickled cucumbers, fish cakes, kimchi, and creamy apples/cucumbers. Feel free to ask for more if you run out! Kimchi & Beef Tofu soup (medium spicy) - Actually not that spicy. I could have went up another level, but I wanted to make sure I am able to enjoy all the flavors. Haha! Make sure you add an egg as well. Really love the mesh of flavors from the kimchi, beef, egg, and tofu. The soup feels very light and not too salted, which I prefer. LA Galbi - Seasoning was great! Love the addition of the grilled onions on the bottom. The meat was not chewy at all and was cooked perfectly. Warning that the price for meat here is a little high, but that's the price of eating out in this economy :( Service is quick here. I was able to get a table right away. In my opinion, one of the best Korean restaurants in the South Bay to get some tofu soup and meat. Give it a try! read more
Still love their huge variety of side dishes! I got beef tofu soup this time. I liked it better than the pork that I got last time. Also tried the pan fried dumplings this time. Meat was flavorful!! Service was very prompt and food came out quickly. However they didn't check in after our food arrived and we wanted refills on a few side dishes. They ended up only coming back at the end of the meal with the check. read more

WOW is all I can say for Tofu Plus! Honestly some of the best Korean food I've had in a long time. We came on a Monday for dinner, and it was still quite packed! There's various boba shops and a 99 Ranch in the same plaza so its easy to find parking as well. What I ordered; - Seafood and Beef Soon Tofu $19 (5/5) - such a simple dish but done well! There were several whole large shrimps and clams in the stew. They also give you an egg to crack in the stew - a must! Medium Spicy was not very medium in my opinion. I do usually order medium spice but this was quite mild so next time I'd order Spicy instead. The highlight of Tofu Plus was the INSANE banchan (side dishes) that they give! Usually korean places give only 4-5 but 12? Crazy. They had all the classics: fresh kimchi, radish kimchi, fish cakes, bean sprouts! Even some of the non-traditional ones like celery and gimmari were delicious. Honestly the fresh kimchi was deliciously saucy and not too sour like the more fermented versions. The good: - extensive menu - lots of banchan - central location (Cupertino Village) - no wait time around 11:15-11:30am on a Sunday. I was sat immediately upon entry - beef tofu soup. The broth was yummy but there wasn't much meat in the soup. The bad: - upon being sat immediately upon entry, I was asked for my order after about 3 minutes. The menu is massive. I also shared I was traveling and this was my first time here. I wanted time to read the menu thoroughly but felt pressured to order quickly. - I waited about 15-20 minutes to finally get a 1 refill on hot tea. - spicy marinated raw crab. Their seasoning was ok, nothing special. Did not come with seaweed, sesame oil, or other pairings. The soy sauce raw crabs came with noodles. I think it's strange that rice isn't served with this. Since it was a holiday, I called to check if they were open and they were. Upon arriving, the guy on the receiving area immediately seated us. There was a nice selection of appetizers and everything was good. You can ask for seconds if you want but the sausage was a one time thing only. We ordered Beef and Kimchi Tofu soup & Bulgogi. Bottom line: spacious restaurant, solid main menu variety, FLAMEY banchan variety. Vibez: located at Cupertino Village shopping center (Wolfe road and 280), the shop is tucked away, more so on the ranch 99 side of the plaza. Inside is modern, likely redone recently. There is booth seating that sits 6 comfortably, and plenty of table seating that could be combined for larger parties. Staff is friendly enough, attentive if you give them a quick wave. We went in December, and all the Christmas music hits were vibing while we dined. Banchan: no lie, I decided to come here straight up by walking by and seeing that tables got 12 banchan dishes. I need that variety in my life, and so do you. Kimchi and radish were the solid staples. Rice cake and seaweed exceeded expectations. Tomago was an unexpected surprise treat. Seafood pancake: I thought it was solid. Crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside. Good seafood combo, pleasant amount of salt. Bibimbap: it feeds a craving, but it wasn't the star of the show. Each single ingredient was fine. I suppose the real complaint was that despite the hot stone bowl, the rice was too moist to crisp up. Sad! But it didn't ruin the dish. Tofu soup: got mild spice and it was tasty. Many meat or seafood options are available but we got it with dumplings inside. Maybe a rookie move, as the dumplings mostly tasted like the soup. Either way, would get again when I come back. Bathroom: men's room as clean enough. One person at a time, with a urinal and a toilet. Manual sink, manual soap, manual paper towel that was jammed but I'm sure that isn't always the case. read more

Pretty decent variety of korean foods. Like most korean restaurants they have a variety spread of tofu soups and kbbq from the kitchen. Personally I ordered a seafood tofu soup and it tasted pretty good but what put this place a bit above the others are their side dishes. read more

I was so excited by all the dishes that I only got a picture at the beginning of the meal. There may be a slight wait for you when you dine here, but it will definitely be worth it. My party ordered the seafood pancake, bossam, beef and kimchi stew, and galbitang! I would say my top dishes were the pancake and stew -- but everything is worth a try. The pancake had a ton of little seafood nuggets and held together very well. There have been so many seafood pancakes I've had in the past that fall apart once you pick it up. The stew was really good as well! The tofu was extremely soft and the stew had a ton of flavor (it's not like your basic tofu soup). Overall, the food is very solid for the price. Also, the service is top notch. They are fast, courteous, and are attentive. The Korean waitresses quickly refill your banchans when you ask for them and rush over with fresh tea when your cup is empty! Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for solid Korean food. read more

Wonderful tofu stew with ample amounts of oyster! I'm so impressed by the amount of banchan they gave us and it's free refills! We refilled kimchi many times. All the banchan were so good--the only skeptical one is the one with apple. We also ordered the seafood pancake, which was thicker than I prefer (I prefer seafood pancakes when it's super thin and crunchy) but I get that this is a different style based on the region of Korea. It's still really good and we were so full by the end of it. Would definitely come again and order the seafood tofu stew once again but ask for it to be spicier! read more

My favorite were the fish cake and seaweed! - - - - Dolsot Bibimbap (Beef) // I always prefer my bibimbap in a hot stone pot because it tastes better in it! The bibimbap here is very tasty and the portion size is good. The crispy rice at the bottom because of the hot stone pot is so yummy! - Ramen Soon Tofu (Seafood) // This soup is perfect for the cold weather! It's extremely flavorful and definitely hits the spot! - - - This may be one of my new favorite places for Korean food in the Cupertino area! read more

This place is located in a plaza in Cupertino and I happened to go there with a few friends and the boy who had recommended it was a good place for some nice Korean food - especially if you are craving something soupy! It was a Saturday night and there was a line - we waited around 20-30 mins before we were seated. Once we sat down we ended uo ordering: * LA galbi - this was delicious and well marinated, the meat was super tender and I couldn't stop eating it * seafood pancake - this was crispy and definitely on the thicker side form what I have tried before, it was yummy but definitely lacked seafood, there were barely any seafood pieces in it! * beef and seafood tofu soup - this was delicious, we got it medium spicy and this was yummy. This was delicious with the ban Chan they served and rice *king dumpling soup - the dumplings here were juicy and huge and I enjoyed every bite. The broth was light and also had some egg and beef pieces in it. I wish I got the spicy one but I guess for next time! Overall, the food was yummy and hearty, we enjoyed it all. The ban Chan was very delicious, there were many options but really enjoyed the potato and fish cake. I liked the picked radish and kimchi very much as well! I think Tofu Plus is really similar to Jang Su Jang without the self grill kbbq. My go to here is also the soondubu. The banchan here is also delicious with a lot of variety. The service is attentive enough but they do get quite busy so expect there to be a wait around rush times. Prices here are on par with Jang Su Jang and other soondubu places in the Bay. read more
Tofu Plus is in the cupertino plaza that has TenRen and BBQ Chicken. The parking can be hard on weekends, but it is well worth going to Tofu Plus. The restaurant is spacious, with booth and table seating. I got the bossam, which was way more than enough for three people. The banchans here are very delicious as well. The service is great, the workers are super attentive and very quick and kind! I would highly recommend coming here, their tofu soups and bibimbaps are great as well. read more
Lots of side dishes and food was decent but not spectacular. Main complaint was the lack of service. 1. Waited awhile before someone finally came by to take our order. 2. Nobody came by to refill our tea throughout the meal. 3. Took forever to get the check and nobody would collect it. Ended up bringing it to the counter to pay.. read more
Food was great! Very comparable to BCD. However, their seafood pancake is more doughy if that's what you're looking for. The tofu soup came with a lot of tofu, however the spice level could have been better (ex: medium tastes like mild). The service was excellent and quick. And the place was clean. Overall, I would recommend this place. read more
I've gone to Tofu Plus multiple times and each time I go, I'm left feeling satisfied and happy! The ban chan/side dishes rotate on occasion, and they're all excellent. My favorite go-tos are the Korean short rib, tofu stews and bibimbap, but yesterday we tried the seasonal grab and all the seasoning is on point. The restaurant is clean. Service is also fast. All in all, a Korean restaurant I always stop by when I'm feeling like good eating in Cupertino. read more

Cosy ambiance with lots of wood. Pretty spacious as well. We got a chicken tofu soup, teriyaki chicken and bulgogi. The side dishes came out while we were waiting for the mains. Prices are very steep at $30 for the chicken teriyaki. Our bill came up to $90 for just three dishes. I requested my server to crack the raw egg which was brought tableside into the soup. The soup was not as piping hot as I had experienced at other places and I was unsure if the egg would cook through. The soup was delicious without any raw chili taste. Tofu was on the blander side as it had not absorbed the soup completely and the amount of broth was not sufficient towards the end. The chicken teriyaki on the other hand was expectedly on the sweeter side because of the teriyaki sauce. Chicken was well cooked though and the flavors ran deep. Coming to the side dishes, I enjoyed the broccoli and spinach the most. On a side note, I was surprised to read a notice in the restaurant that city of Cupertino doesn't allow single serve plastic in restaurants. I wish all cities follow suit soon. read more

Super nice and large interior space! Got seated immediately as a party of 3 at around 7pm on a Thursday. I ordered $19 Seafood Beef Tofu Soup at the highest spicy level. Very yummy, not very spicy though! And not much beef in the soup too but the clams were HUGE i loved that. THE BANCHAN was a variety as well. Most restaurants usually brings out like 6 side dishes. If I come by around the area again, I would like to try their other meals on the menu. read more

Came here on a Monday night and it was pretty packed, no wait though so we were seated immediately. The inside was also really clean and modern which was a plus. I was really craving noodle soup so I ordered the beef kalguksu and it definitely hit the spot. However i do think it was a little pricy for what it was - $22 for beef noodles. Also, I was a little thrown off by the strong mushroom taste (since I don't really like mushroom), and the menu hadn't mentioned anything about mushroom. But regardless the noodles were still super good and chewy. They also give you a lot of banchan which was nice! The read more

THE BANCHAN!! The thing that really caught my attention about tofu plus was the huge variety of banchan! The spread is definitely photo worthy and everything tasted delicious as well. In terms of entrees, we ordered the seafood pancake, tofu soup, and bibimbap and it was all solid as well. We arrived around 5:30 PM and made it just before the crowd - we were able to be seated right away but most of the other tables were full and there was a wait. Servers were polite and food came out quickly and tasted great. Honestly no complaints and would definitely come back again when in the area! read more

There is a vegetable soon tofu and a mushroom soon tofu, but I don't know what the broths are made of. Also, there's Bebim Naengmyun (buckwheat noodles tossed in a spicy sauce), but I don't know what the sauce contains.
