The reataurant told driver I would tip in cash but I had none and there was no way to tip driver with credit card payment. Food was still hot and tasty. Serving size was ample. Fast, hot, delicious, and a great price! You absolutely can't do better. Every time we've ordered from Tokyo Tampa, our food has literally been here in 15 minutes flat (and they're a 10 minute drive away so that's insanely impressive). It's always hot, always correct, always absolutely DELICIOUS, and it will get to you at the speed of light. Cannot recommend this place enough! read more

We ordered through Door Dash and the food was terrible. The lomein was greasy and just a few small pieces of chicken in it. Sweet and sour chicken appeared to be deep fried while frozen as chicken was texture of shoe laces and sweet and sour sauce was not more then a quarter cup for 2 orders. Talk about a letdown. I saw this rated so high as a restaurant delivering to the hotel I'm staying at, and then when I get the food back to my room...boo. Chicken and Broccoli was pretty flavorless, the Wonton Egg Drop soup was missing the Wonton, the egg roll was room temperature and the Ginger Salad...a joke. I took a picture but this site doesn't seem to let me upload one. Needless to say, if you want some lettuce and three cucumber slices, and a side of sauce, then the Ginger Salad is for you. FORGET ABOUT IT!!! Ordered thru there website (which they later said was a 3rd party vendor). Prepaid by cc and then when picked up they nickel and dimed by teenage son for $1.60 ! When I called because my order was wrong , NASTY manager wasn't interested in their mistake or correcting it. He was rude . Its hard to find good Chinese food around Town and Country. Tokyo is my go to for Chinese take out! The food is good and their udon base is actually flavorful which is hard to find. Other favorites are the general tso chicken, beef and broccoli, and pan fried noodles! All of these dishes are flavorful and satisfy my Chinese take out craving every time. OOooo and I almost forgot, the crab rangoons are very good too! The place is small but you can eat there if you want. We have eaten there once and it was fine but I like getting it to go or delivered better. They also deliver which is always convenient. Not really the best tasting chinese we have had. Went here since a couple of co-workers of mine recommended this place and just wanted to try it out. The food is a little bland and the sushi could use a lot of flavor. The flavor is your typical to-go chinese food if you want to take out. We ordered the orange chicken, mongolian beef, spicy tuna sushi, and spicy salmon sushi. I would have to say none of them was actually spicy. The good: the wait for delivery was not long and portions were fair. The rice was good. The bad: the Chinese food was bland. We had chicken curry and peppered steak, neither of which had any spice, not only that, there was barely any flavor whatsoever. The vegetables were cut in huge chunks and barely cooked. The krab Rangoon had barely any filling, although the one bite that did was tasty. I had one tuna roll that was ok but I'm afraid to order anything else from here and won't be ordering in the future. The service is the problem here. My udon soup was served with the spoon fully immersed. I waited for a drink refill for so long that I was long past caring when it was offered. Delivery was super quick, earlier than expected but sushi was terrible, avocado inside sushi was all black , I only realized after I ate a few sushi pieces ( I hope i don't get sick ) , crab rangoons were the worst I've ever had, almost all empty and burned completely. Haven't dined in the restaurant, but we like their takeout. Delivery is convenient, especially since you can order online. They have a really wide variety of Chinese and Japanese fare, and great combos at good prices. My new favorite thing is their Japanese deluxe combo---a meat (chicken teriyaki), white rice, sushi roll, miso soup, ginger salad, and tempura veggies and shrimp for $14.00. Great value! read more

I'm a huge fan of take out Chinese, it may not be very authentic, but it sure it tasty. Tokyo is one of the best. There is also a great upside in that they deliver in the Town and Country area. And on top of that, they also offer a great selection of sushi. The food has always been extremely tasty and they have all of the staples. Hot and sour soup, egg rolls, General Tso's chicken, orange chicken, sweet and sour, its all here and you can pretty much guarantee that you will find something for everyone. The sushi selection is also great, with all of the sushi staples, plus a few specialty rolls. The delivery service is fast, and ordering can all be done online. I've never had a problem with any orders. The pricing is extremely good, and $20 dollars will get you more then enough food for two people. I love ordering from this restaurant, and I highly recommend that if you are in the Town and Country area, put this on your delivery list. read more

Great food! Prices are Okay too! I love the pork fried rice and I don't even normally like rice at all! I've only eaten the New York style stuff but will update one day when I get sushi. What a great place! Who knew? My daughter and I were in for dinner and got some take out for dad. The dining room is small but quaint and nicely decorated. There is a great outdoor deck with a really pretty baby koi pond. It was way too cold for outdoor dining tonight though. The service was impeccable and the food was yummy and beautifully presented. The menu is large but they show photos of everything which I loved. My daughter had a bento box combination which she liked although she was disappointed that it was not in a "box." I had the house udon soup and we got a dragon roll to share. Again all yummy! We brought home a Japanese deluxe combination with eel teriyaki for my husband. They seemed to be doing a pretty steady take out trade as well. We'll be back! read more

1st impression - Ordered delivery one day from my work. They left out multiple items but obviously tried to make up for it with 'extra' ingredients...HAIR. No thanks. My first experience, obviously not good...but I usually assume it could be an off day and will give a place a second chance. Glad I did. I've ordered many times since and always been pleased. Delivery is super fast! And if you dine in I've always found the servers to be really friendly & responsive. Three weeks ago i liked this place till today i had ordered beef and brocoli with pork fried rice and on the side of my plate was a roach i spit my food back out... when i noticed it i thought it a burned piece of brocoli or a piece of meat so i scooped it up n put it aside so when i did that i noticed the legs and the head i rushed back to the restaurant n the stupid lady there today took it as a joke and started to laugh she gave me my money back but im still going to call the health department on them i will be posting the pics of my plate with the roach sooo ppl do not eat here at all!!!!!!!!! Was really craving something Asian, and I decided to go with the Sweet and Sour chicken with shrimp fried rice. Barely ever eat out so when I do I'm taking a personal risk hah. Wasn't expecting it, but it really satisfied me. The chicken was nicely cooked, I asked for sweet and sour on the side, sometimes I feel like they over pour the sauce and sometimes it's under poured. The fried rice was amazing, the shrimp was a lil undercooked, but it still crunched good and wasn't soggy like most places. The fact that my food was done within 10 mins was also a bonus! A restaurant blending Japanese and Chinese favorites. Perfect for keeping the wife happy with sushi, while I stick to General Tso and an egg roll. They have takeout, dine in and delivery. I have ordered takeout three times or so but never have taken advantage of dining in or delivery. Take out is fast and accurate and the people friendly. Prices are decent for both sushi and Chinese. In terms of food quality, sushi is fresh and I was impressed compared to other nearby places. The Chinese food reminds me of a typical NY takeout place, which isn't bad, but I would be curious what the dining in experience is like. I will need to check it out. read more

I've never dined in the restaurant, but have ordered delivery from Tokyo twice while in Tampa visiting friends. The delivery is super fast--both times we've gotten our food within 30 minutes! As for the food, it's fairly tasty...but nothing special. The Chicken Teriyaki appetizer is a nice little snack, but the chicken was a little dried out. I've also tried the Chicken with Broccoli, Curry Chicken, and General Tso's Chicken. All were okay and had very large portions. If you're someone who likes to eat "regular" portions, you can definitely have one main course for two meals. If I'm in Tampa and hungover again...I'll probably be ordering from Tokyo again. read more

My husband picked this place for our first try at Chinese since moving to the area. Although the food wasn't completely gross, we won't be back. I gave 3 stars for the price and appearance of the restaurant. I liked that it had outdoor seating even though we placed an order to go. We paid $27 for a Pu Pu for 2, Kung Pao Chicken, BBQ Spareribs and an order of Pork Fried Rice. The rice was free with a coupon. We moved from New England and this food tasted nothing like back home. Although editable, the chicken fingers were small nuggets, nothing near the size of an actual finger. The egg roll was mushy inside and not crisp. The Kung Pao chicken had a powdery taste similar to what a protein shake taste like. The BBQ ribs were too meaty and fatty. Maybe this is how all Chinese food is in Tampa, but god I hope not. This place is Ok. I'm not sure if it's any better than that. The menu is huge, and it gave me hope that it would be good. (Know how a menu can talk you into a meal?) My husband doesn't really like sushi, but I love it, so I thought there would be something for both of us. We ordered the spicy chicken stirfry, broccoli with oyster sauce, some potstickers, and from the Japanese side, a few rolls - Mexican, Spicy tuna, and Dragon roll. The sushi was good, but uninspired. I happily ate it, but it didn't blow me away (I've had WAY better sushi at Soho Sushi, Kaisen Sushi and Sushi Alive). The Chinese food wasn't any better - the stirfrys were too sweet and overly-sauced. The exterior of the restaurant isn't pretty - it's in a dingy parking lot between a McDonalds and Kerr's Wing House. The interior is alright, although we ordered take-out. The staff seems friendly enough. I've been on the hunt for good Chinese take-out in the area since China Jada closed a few years ago. I'm going to have to keep looking. read more

Update: I will no longer eat here. They got a 62 out of 100 on there last health inspection, that's the worst grade you can get! We order from here often and its pretty consistent as far as regular Chinese order out goes. Delivery is always very fast and our order is always correct. Never tried any of their sushi since I'm really picky with sushi. read more

The food here is pretty decent. Had the sushi and sashimi combination. The fish tasted fresh, not the freshest I ever had but it's ok. Got to try their pan fried udon, which isn't bad but could still use a little improvement. If you don't like spicy food, might want to tell them that when you order it. There's plenty of choices on their menu, chinese and japanese food. The lunch prices seems pretty good, so I will probably come back and try it. read more
