Decided to try this new Bellevue business. We ordered two entrees, chips and guacamole, a bowl of chili, 2 sodas, and a soapapilla for desert. All of the food was super salty; the salsa was unspiced and guac was quite garlicky; food temperature was warm, not hot, although freshly made. Went to this restaurant recently. There is a sign at the counter that says "this is not a fast food restaurant" And that sign is correct. Everything is cooked to order. I had the chicken enchiladas and they were delightful. I also ordered a chicken burrito for my wife. She is very picky but truly enjoyed the burrito. I highly recommend this restaurant. Nothing fancy, but the food is consistently good and the service is wonderful! The owner is very friendly and concerned about the customer experience. Each dish is prepared to order and is highly customizable. I love that the menu is not too large and overwhelming but still offers variety. The chips & quest lacked taste & the cup of quest was only filled 1/3rd of the way. To top it off when you try to contact the business no one answers; it goes straight to message. We had lunch today at TuLuka's for the first time. We were greeted by a very nice woman who was extremely helpful with the menu.We ordered chicken nachos, chicken enchiladas and sopaipillas. You can see the owner, who is actually from TuLuka, cooking your meal. Everything is very fresh and the pinto beans did not have any lard like most Mexican restaurants. The nachos were delicious with an ample amount of chicken and chips. The cheese consisted of 3-4 different types of cheese! The sauce for the enchiladas is homemade and the rice was delicious. Every bite was excellent. The prices are so affordable for the portions and quality of food. The best surprise was the sopaipillas. It is the owners recipe- they are so light, sweet, and a real treat. They also have coupons for door dash and a drive through! The restaurant was very clean. Last weekend was my second visit to ToLuca, and I guarantee it WILL be my last! For the life of me, I cannot fathom all these rave reviews; makes me wonder if with I, or the rave reviewers, we're in a completely different restaurant. First time I went wasn't too long after they opened the place. I went at the time they were supposed to open only to find a note on the door saying they were opening an hour later due to staffing shortages. Inconvenient, but I really wanted to try them, so I went back later. It's quite small inside, not many tables. Rather than sitting down, I had to go to the counter and order my food, then go back up to retrieve it, like any fast food joint.I got a chicken bowl, and found it to be bland and uninteresting. A couple weeks ago, my boyfriend suggested we stop and do the drive-thru, and against my better judgement, I agreed. As it turned out, we both ordered the 3 beef taco meal; I figured it'd be fairly hard to mess up tacos. I understand they supposedly make food to order, but the wait for just some tacos was really unreasonably long, and there was no one either ordering or eating inside.I'm not sure how you go about making tacos with ABSOLUTELY NO FLAVOR, but somehow they succeeded. So, $22 for 6 tacos--no extras included--that weren't even in the same league as Taco Bell. We would've gotten more flavor eating lumps of wet sand! Even the taco sauce, I guess it was, didn't improve them. My boyfriend was really hungry so he ate all 3 of his. I could only manage one tasteless lump, so my other 2 got thrown away. What a joke. Mexican food by its very nature is loaded with flavor and complex tastes. Evidently this place missed the menu. Can't recommend at all. read more

The food is really good here..And I was impressed with the owner coming outside where we chose to sit and asking how the food was.. It is made from fresh foods....not processed meats ...they cook it daily...the only thing I would say is come and taste it....really good..however I would make sure to wipe tables off outside too not just inside...BUT THE FOOD IS REALLY GOOD!!!!!
