I would have given a 5 star but the meathead bartender working on 2/4/20 was such a jerk. He wouldn't make me an expresso martini because he was "too busy". I guess I did not count as a customer. He was just so mean so it set the tone for my lunch. I love this place but why do they need to keep someone on staff like that? The rest of the staff are lovely and the food is amazing. I finally got my expresso martini and it sucked. The bartender who was working the Tuesday before made it much much better and politely said it may take a few minutes for an expresso martini. I never post things like this unless it really affected me in a negative manner. He was THAT rude. read more

We came for an early dinner, and I was surprised to see a Tommy Bahama Restaurant. I thought it was just a clothing store. The outside of the restaurant looked really nice. We sat outside because the weather was amazing. The server was okay, he did his job (he wasn't amazing but wasn't bad either). The server first brought us bread and butter. They apparently make the butter themselves. It was unique: it had a cinnamon flavor in it. The bread was good because it was served warm. I ordered the grilled pork ribs with French fries. The ribs were tasty; it was sweet but also had a kick to it which I liked. It came with an island slaw, which I surprisingly liked. The flavors were light and it wasn't saturated in dressing/sauce. Mojitos, fish tacos, coconut crusted crab cakes, and filet mingion flatbread.....need we say more!?!? Mojitos were refreshing with large pieces of mint and a piece of sugar cane. Fish tacos were light and perfectly season. The taco fell apart from being soggy though - wrap them up in two next time - making them a bit messy. The crab cakes were delicious, and the flat bread was, well, flatbread when compared to everything else. The Verdict: Would totally go here again. We were a large group of 9 celebrating with weeklong festivities before this weekend's wedding. Our server, Wendy, handled our large group with ease. After walking 2 miles down 5th Avenue I quickly realized 3rd Avenue is where the real food is. I walked up to the hostess at Tommy Bahama for a table for 4 she told me it would be a 45 minute wait; fair enough I took the buzzer and in 3 minutes it rang and I got a VIP booth in the back separated from the main dining area. Our waiter LEO was excellent, he recommended the mango ice tea to drink and I must say it was quite tasty. Guacamole to start and a nice juicy burger for my meal, it was almost like the cow was massaged in the back for several hours before the chef hand crafted my burger. I wish we stayed for dessert but the girls wanted to go shopping. Great place for the kids. read more

Not worth it..!! Rude Bartender... wife and I were looking forward to a much needed Friday date night. Restaurant was busy as usual so while walking to our table to be seated, I walked up to the Bar and tried to order two drinks. So I patiently waited for the Bartender while my wife sat down at a Table. The Bartender who was just standing there talking to a girl looked annoyed that I was standing there waiting. He walked over and said "What's up?"...so asked him if I could get two drinks... He barked at me stating "NO, No No, if your sitting at a Table then you can't order drinks at the Bar.!!". Then he turned and just walked away. I was shocked and just said.."Are you serious?".... the other people sitting at the Bar heard what he said and how he said it and were even shocked and told the me that Bartender was Rude. So I just walked to my wife at our table and advised her of what just happened. When our server finally came we ordered food and I asked her to please have the manager come to our table so I could inform her of how rude the Bartender was. The server never came back to our table ...Our food finally came and it was the wrong order... so we had to waive down another server to try and get the correct order. At this point we were just done and we just wanted to get out of there. Finally a manager showed up as we were about to walk out. The Manager just said sorry we are busy. I advised the Manager that there is NEVER an excuse to be Rude to Paying customers. Clearly the staff and management do not care about customer service. So we just simply walked over to Ridgeway restaurant/Bar and had great food... great drinks and excellent service. For anyone thinking about going to Tommy Bahamas... Don't go... Go to Ridgeway instead. read more

Went there last night with a large group. They had a sesame ginger salmon that probably half of the group got and we all loved it! A few people in our party got the special Kung Pao chicken and were disappointed because it was very different than traditional Kung Pao chicken which was not made clear on the menu or by the waiter. Other than that, everyone else was content with their meals. I had an awesome mojito and a few other specialty drinks on the menu were tasty as well. We were seated right near the window where the food comes up and at the beginning of our meal, a server dropped an order of shrimp all over our backs, which surprisingly made me like the staff more. Although it made a bit of a mess, the servers, hostesses and managers all continued to apologize and check on us throughout the evening because of it. What stood out the most was when the one server bumped into the other server who cause him to drop the meal, instead of yelling at him (like I have seen in countless restaurants) he simply said "it's okay buddy!!" And instead of placing blame they immediately tended to us! It was awesome. Overall it was a nice dinner! read more

Very disappointed after dining there 20+ years. Third visit in Jan. and was told our sandwich has been discontinued over a yr. ago. Told waitress that we just had it, twice, I had my receipts to prove it. Mgr said we could order them. When the bill came all three of us were charged 19.00 for each sandwich normally 15.00 Mgr. said it was up charge for after 4 p.m. We were not told there would be an up charge I would have ordered a dinner instead. I also asked if they had the wedge salad she said no it was only on holidays, guess they still offered it on Jan 6 when we were there. read more

This is a fun place, open and light with a great location for people watching if you get to sit outside. I liked that the doors to the patio were open so that you still get an outdoorsy feel when sitting indoors. I am assuming the decision about the doors varies by day and weather. Large round tables allow for conversation. The place was a bit loud during the visit but not too much of a distraction. It was a bit confusing that there was a digital menu + a daily menu on paper. It was not explained by the server so took a few minutes to figure out that the paper menu was in addition to regular menu. Food portions were generous (food is expensive here) and the seafood we consumed was tasty. Service was not the quickest but it was friendly. Recommended. read more

For this restaurant to be the first Tommy Bahama restaurant of mankind, I expected nothing less than excellence from the team. From start to finish, the employees provided stellar service and impeccable food. I was surprised when they asked my better half and I where we would prefer to sit, being on third street, and also being one of the busiest restaurants! We decided to sit on the patio to enjoy some tourist watching and were greeted by a drink server immediately. Our server soon came around to take our orders; we started with the filet flatbread and it was divine to say the least. Let's be honest, whats not to love about a flatbread topped with the most tender filet mignon, arugula and massive chunks of bacon? For our entree, I ordered the pulled pork quesadilla, while he ordered the Mahi served over a vegetable quinoa. All entrees were piping hot and packed with tons of island flavor! Amazing!! What can you say it's the first Tommy Bahama restaurant and it's the best! I have been to others but the olde Naples location will always be my favorite. They have delicious food, tasty drinks, and top notch service. The coconut shrimp app is a must! I had the grouper special last night with the blueberry glaze reduction and it's was fabulous! The decor and ambiance are also perfect! Sit outside on the deck with the big palm fans and you will feel like you're in tropical paradise (cause you are). Reservations are highly recommended here!! We love Tommy Bahama and come here every time we are in Naples. Food and service are always excellent and we love the tropical vibe and festive ambience. Unfortunately tonight, July 3rd, there was a party of 4 who came in drunk and obnoxious and were seated next to us. They were hollering and harassing the singer. We were very uncomfortable and they were ruining our dining experience as well as the diners around us. We witnessed the manager speak to them calmly and professionally but they continued to be loud and belligerent. When they left we witnessed the "gentleman " threaten the manager! Kudos to Kyle for the professional way he handled those people. We thanked him for making our dinner enjoyable after the disturbance.  As did other diners around us. Thank you Tommy Bahama for your great staff who has to deal with people who should not be allowed to dine out in public! We will be back! read more

It's the original Tommy Bahama restaurant, you get great food, great service and feel like you are in Hawaii. There is nothing to not like. We both got salads, one with steak and one with chicken, the meat was cooked perfectly and had lots of flavor. The dressings were light and fresh. We finished with Pina Colada cake which was 8 layers of vanilla cake filled with pineapple and topped with toasted coconut. Would highly recommend any Tommy Bahama regardless of location. The service is friendly for the the most part. We had a very long wait time which exceeded our estimated time by twice as long. There isn't really a waiting area, you have to wait on the sidewalk.
