Meh I was very underwhelmed by this place. First off, I got a wet burrito but they said they only had green sauce not red. Very weird considering they had other sauces available that I could see. Secondly, the burrito itself (shredded beef) was extremely bland and under flavored. Thirdly, it took nearly half an hour to get a water cup when there's a grocery store right next door. I was there with my mom who got a tostada plate. First they said it would take five minutes to make. Mmmmkay. After waiting 10 minutes, we go to check on it. The cook didn't see the order ticket. Wtf?!? So they try to make up for it by offering a free taco. Ok great. Only they never actually end up giving us the taco. Then when she finally gets her tostadas, which is after being there for 20 minutes btw, they're nothing at all like what most people think tostadas look like. And they didn't give her the platter with the side of beans and rice. Just the tostadas. So no free taco and no beans and rice. Will never go back. read more

I am definitely in between on giving this a 3 or 4 star. So I'll give it a 3.5 and explain... I have been here numerous times and I always forget about it. Which One, means it doesn't stand out to me and two, the food doesn't make me scream "I want more." This place is just like Chipotle as far as the options of the food goes and how it is served. They do have more variety than Chipotle where you can get Taquitos, fries, nachos, and other such items which is different. However, the quality of the food doesnt compare to Chipotle in my opinion. I know they are two different places but since they are so similar which is why I am comparing the two. Every time I come here I get their burrito bowl. I choose to put black beans, rice, chicken, lettuce, cheese, sour cream, and their mild green salsa. It also comes with a handful of their homemade tortilla strips to add that crunch to dip. My bowl this past time was EXTREMELY salty where it was upsetting to my stomach and to the point where i just couldn't finish it. My hubby got their half order of the loaded fries and he felt exactly how I felt. I believe the saltiness was from their green salsa because we both had it. And I had added extra in the beginning because I like the heat! So it had to be that. It was very disappointing because the sickness we felt made it to the point where we didn't want to come back. The reason I would have gave it a four was because of how this place used to be. The food was good and less expensive. Everything seemed to have more flavor before. They had just raised their prices on all the food and the quality for the price just wasn't up to par. They even had a paper over the old price which looked tacky. The place was empty too and tables were still dirty. This place just wasn't to my overall liking I general with my last visit. It left a lasting bad impression on me, so sadly I probably won't eat here again unless I hear it's gotten better. read more

Mmm... Nachos Have you ever been at line at Chipotle and said to yourself, "wouldn't it be cool if they did the same thing with nachos?". I got the Al pastor nachos, see the picture, I hope I did it justice. Just a large quantity for 6 bucks, pretty good. The Al pastor by itself was okay, not great. We ate here because we were shopping at Savers in the same plaza. Sunday afternoon was busy - I assume is was a church crowd because everyone knew each other and it was so loud, especially with the TV on! There was a long line reaching near the entrance and it wasn't moving at a pace I would expect like Chipotle. When we arrived to order, I had to repeat myself because it was so loud. One burrito and one medium iced tea was close to $10! Which reviewer said it was budget style?! The burrito bigger than my forearm so I shared with my BF. Good taste, chicken was marinated, freshly shredded cheese and salsa. Had a side of chips that were homestyle and had a good crunch to it. The line was too crazy to go back for a side of salsa. I was laughing at a poster they had of Muhammed Ali with a speech bubble next to him: "Whatcha mean Chipotle?" as his opponent was knocked out. Uh, yeah I believe this place is a rip off of Chipotle. Reminds me of chipoodle but with actually good tasting food. We came in with a larger group of hungry teenagers. I was a little worried about how the service would be because most of the reviews on here mentioned they were lacking in that department. I thought the service was fine. They have a bunch of young kids working who are trying to do a good job, you just have to be a little bit patient. All of the kiddos ordered the nachos, huge plates piled high with fresh meat, beans, cheese, guacamole, sour cream and salsa. We on the other hand were being difficult and not eating carbs. Tom said he could make us meat topped salad bowls, so that is what we did. I had a bowl of lettuce piled high with Al pastor and all the toppings available, sour cream, guacamole, cheese, cilantro, and both salsas. The meat itself was very flavorful, I also sampled the carnitas and tri tip...all were nicely done. Prices were extremely low and the amount of food was ridiculous. This place is my favorite quick pit stop for lunch! SO GOOD! Like Chipotle, yet they give you greater portions of each item! I choose this over Chipotle any day! THE FLAVOR! Oh the FLAVOR is sooooo tantalizing to my tastebuds! I love the carne asada here as all the salsas! Oh and the guacamole comes with whatever you order! When Biola students how their ID they get a free drink! From the outside, it looks like it would be an ugly place to eat, but when you enter, it's shocking! Been here several times I cant believe I have yet to write a review. Ive had a variety of delicious goodies. Everything is FRESH, FRESH, FRESH!!!! FISH TACOS are made just right, full of flavor. There NACHOS whether carne asade, chicken, etc. are the BOMB! Id say some of the best nachos Ive ever had. There SALSA is dam good. The staff is very nice. The lines are sometimes too dam long & don't move fast enough for me but worth the wait. The restaurant itself seems to be very clean. They have flat screens in 2 corners. I personally think they close to early at 9pm. I also think they would have tons of more business if they stayed opened later. The center they're in isn't that great. They need to relocate into a better area but it may be a $$/lease deal so who knows. Always parking right in front. Prices are reasonable!!! read more

Took my wife and son today for lunch. As we walked in we noticed the "B" grade from the health dept posted by the door and was kind of concerned as to why. My wife ordered two tacos. She said they were good but way to greasy. I ordered a 1/2 order of pork el pastor super fries. The fries reminded me of Del Taco fries which is a good thing. I really feel they could give more cheese though. I want to go back for a burrito. My son ordered a 1/2 order of chorizo super fries with everything including a hair in the fries. They replaced the order which took way to long. He liked did enjoy his replacement food though. I really don't understand the way they serve the food. You give your order, they give you a number, once you get your order you have to get back in line and order your toppings. After doing so you pay for your meal. It's kinda weird. We've enjoyed the food and service for several years until the whole Grub Hub and other food delivery services took precedence over their walk-in customers. Even if it's a short line, you're looking at at least 30-45 minutes these days. :/ The food is fresh, good quality and flavorful, and the employees are very friendly. We all had the half order of nachos which you could share with another person very large portions.The friend we were with has been there before and is the one that recommended this place. I love the Super Fries!!! They definitely fill the whole plate and to-go containers with French fries and toppings. The way the restaurant is set-up is you order your food, tell them the toppings you want, and then pay. The toppings are behind the counter and you can see what type of meats and vegetable they offer. After placing your order, they cook and prepare your base (rice, nacho chips, fries...) and after putting it on the plate they call your number to finish adding your toppings. The vegetables and sauces are fresh and they are constantly refilling it with fresh ones as I have seen them do many times I have been there. You can always ask for items on the side and they pack it separately in cups. When they are busy keep an eye out for your entree plate when it is ready, they have a hard time keeping up with the numbers and can easily miss your order. Some orders are quicker to make and they get called right away, if you are ordering Super Fries that takes a little longer as they fry the fries as soon as you order it. This is great as it tastes fresh and not room temperature. I love the French fries they use it is seasoned already so no need for salt. It is crispy and oily and piping hot as they prepare it right off the fryer. They are not shy on piling on whatever toppings and sauces you want. I never had to tell them to add more as the to-go boxes can barely close since there is so much inside. Plenty of meat to pick from - the best is the carnitas soft and flavorful. If you want to make your own plate and mix the meat and toppings they can do it for you. They also sell desserts from cookies to brownies in a small stand next to the register. This place gets busy, but the line is not that bad it goes quickly if customers know what they want. They have televisions inside that plays sports and news for entertainment. After eating you put your own plates and utensils away in the trash area. The inside is not the cleanest, the tables are sticky and not wiped down when they are busy. As for parking there are plenty - this plaza does not get busy anytime of the day. read more

This might be pretty Lengthy, but I'm going to write it anyway. The experience I had today was an unfortunate one, which is really sad to say because I love this place. First and foremost I think there is an equal amount of blame to be placed on my part, Google's part, and Tom's tailgate part. I used Google's food ordering service to place my order online. I sent my husband and brother in law to go pick up the food. They get to Tom's and my husband tells me they say they're not done making the order and it's going to be a bit. After sometime my husband calls me and says the restaurant says they don't have my order. I sent my husband screenshots of the confirmation of the order and how much we paid etc.. they said they don't have the order so they're not going to make it. So we were all majorly disappointed and frustrated. I called my bank thinking I got scammed on google and cancelled my bank card and changed my account to prevent any further mishaps on the account and right after I hang up an Aaron called me he said he was from the restaurant and calling me to let me know the order for me is ready. I said "Oh the one you guys told my husband and brother in law wasn't ready?" He asked me "was that the guy showing us his phone with the order?" I said "yes that was him" he said "Oh my God. Uh, yeah I'm so sorry there was some confusion because he said it was an online order and this order was phoned in, but we do have your order ready" i said "okay and how long has that been sitting on the counter?" He said "we just put it out so it's ready if you guys would like to come pick it up" i said "yeah we'll be there.. what was your name and he gave me his first and last name and said he was working the register he'd be there" So my husband and brother in law return, they call me and tell me items are still missing.. at this point I just said whatever just get what's there and come home.. it was my daughter's bean & cheese kid's meal and 6 piece wings for my brother in law that was missing. They get home and we're all so hungry we start opening up the food. The soft tacos were soggy, all our food was cold, my carne asada bowl ended up being a shredded beef burrito bowl... I only ate a couple bites and threw it away, but my husband and brother in law still ate theirs and got sick to their stomachs later on in the evening. I'm not here to bash the restaurant because like I said there is equal blame but I am here to simply share my experience. It's one I learned from and I'll never use Google's food ordering online services again, but I'd like send to send a kind reminder having worked in the restaurant industry myself, in situations like this it would've been nice to have not been lied to about the food just being put out, and just remade the order especially after all the going back and forth. I placed my order around 4:50, they got there to pick up the food at around 5:15 they were told around 5:40 they weren't going to make the food because there wasn't an order... I got a call from Aaron at 6:18 the food was picked up at 6:26 so yeah.. anyways I hope we all learn from this. read more

Super fries? more like super disappointed. Not coming back here. I ordered a half portion of super fries. I asked for no meat and no cheese. Paid for my food and asked if it would cost less since I did not order meat or cheese and she told me "unfortunately the price doesn't change for super fries only the Nachos". Ok... so it came to ordering my toppings, the older female employee denied me of broccoli and cucumber because it was meant for salads. Taken by that i asked for tomatoes, and she told me that I cannot have that because she already gave me Pico de gallo. I was very confused since a spoonful of tomatoes are cheaper products than the fat scoops of meat and cheese they would have added on to my plate. Did not get my money's worth. I PAID $9 for FRIES with beans, pico de gallo, and onions? She clearly did not care about pleasing customers. The logic was not there whatsoever. 4/10/19 Ordered carne asada burrito to go and I got home and we started eating it my husband and I split 1/2 had so much salt like it had never been mixed around we couldn't even eat it it was terrible, so I called them to let them know and I guess there was no manager on duty at 8:20 at night so they told me they would call me the next day haven't heard anything since (2 weeks today) we go there to eat dinner at least once a week if not more when we have baseball practice or game twice a week. Love their food but pretty disappointed about no call back. Especially when we are regulars there. We order the same thing everytime. Needless to say we have not been back. read more
