Second incident: We set up another appointment on a Thursday early morning. Appointment time comes around, and no calls. An hour later, I'm driving off for work. My husband and I used Tonys BC Tree Service for an annual tree trimming and to remove 3 other trees. We liked that he was very prompt- we called and within 30 mins he was at our door and available to start the next day. Unfortunately his service did not live up. We were pleased when we came outside and noticed our tree was trimmed and that the plants were removed but as we got closer to inspect the work we realized they left a stump and then drug the trees all the way down our house leaving scratches (I've attached pictures). The service was definitely cheaper than the other bids we received and now I understand it was because the service was lacking. We are now looking into quotes to fix the scratches along the house and my husband is in the process of removing the stump as I type! I wouldn't use them again. read more

Our HOA hired Tony's Tree Service to do work in our common areas and we noticed they did a great job. A few weeks later Tony's teams were doing work for 2 of our neighbors who both gave a thumbs-up that they did excellent work and were good to deal with. Called for an estimate and Tony himself came out on a Sunday morning. We have 3 Sequoias that are 60'+ tall, had never been trimmed, and had become increasing vulnerable in strong Santa Ana winds. Tony explained exactly what needed to be done, gave a fair quote and the project was scheduled. His professional team worked the better part of two days carfully lacing the trees like craftsmen with hand tools (vs. power-saws) to protect the Sequoias and cleaned the debris. They were experienced, knowledgeable, and did an AMAZING job! The team also took out a large root that had grown above the lawn from a 20+ year old Liquid Amber tree. Soil ingredients were added to the trees and lawn area where the root had been removed. A few weeks after the work was done we had some of the most intense Santa Ana winds in memory that the Sequioa's weathered extremely well. Today, they look more healthy than they have in many years. When I was a youngster, I can remember having to trim and haul the Cape Honeysuckle from my mom's backyard t the front. It took the better part of a week to trim 5 bushes and two to haul it all away from there. Tony's BC Tree service did much more than that with much better results and much faster.
