We arrived and were looking for someplace quick to eat. Saw Tony's Pizza across the road from where we were staying, and decided to give it a go. Best decision we ever made. The food is INCREDIBLE. The decor isn't much, but it doesn't have to be when you have food like this. We ordered the steak and onion calzone and chicken calzone. Portions were massive we had to take some of it back, but that doesn't mean we didn't try to finish it all. The family who owns this place too seems super sweet and amazing as well. First time ordering from Tony's pizza. Total 'home run.' I'm a NY Style Pizza fan and the best way to compare of judge how good of NY Style pizza would be to order a simple pepperoni pizza. So I ordered a Supreme with pepperoni, sausage, onion, green peppers and mushrooms. Total 'home run.' Wife and I put a hurting on it last night and had leftovers reheated in the air fryer for lunch. We stayed at the Beacher's Lodge across the street and for convenience we decided to walk over and try out Tony's. They have a cool family owned vibe going on inside. The server was very attentive and polite. The food was surprisingly delicious!! The pizza is just like something you would find on Bleecker Street in NY! The crust is crispy on the bottom, perfectly chewy in the middle with the right amount of sauce, cheese and toppings. The calzones are especially tasty as well. I recommend the Ham and Salami calzone. We will definitely return. read more

Greek salad with dressing was extremely salty and I pulled 1 full cup of green olives off of it. Skimped on the darker olives which are higher quality. Wow! Delicious. I was headed into Publix hungry and weary when I looked over and saw Tony's Grand Opening Sign... so I decided I would go in and give them a try, and boy was I glad I did. No disappointment here. I ordered their 2 slices (cheese) and a drink lunch special (30 cents more for a topping) and let me tell you; I was licking my fingers the pizza was so good. Don't waste your time or money! As a local St Augustine business owner and resident, I try to support local. We usually stay away from the Chain places in town. My company does a lot of work on the island as well as crescent beach. We usually eat pizza from Violas down the street when we are in crescent beach. However, today we decided to give Tony's a try. We ordered a large pizza and wings. The wings were the worst I ever tried in my life, no exaggeration! They were $11 for 8 wings that were baked in the oven, undercooked, soggy and have no flavor. The pizza was bland and just not appetizing at all. I really hate to not support fellow, local business owners but I will never return to this place nor would I recommend anyone else! My employees and I are really not that picky so this was a bag experience for all of us to throw away our food. I would recommend going down the road to violas. read more

The first few times we went to Tony's it was decent. It's pretty pricey for what you get but there isn't much to chose from near by so we continued to go for convenience sake. One night recently we decided to call and order a pizza to go on our way back to crescent beach. We were 30 minutes away and Tony said the pizza would be ready in 30 minutes. We stopped to get gas so we were at least 10 mins late and expected to run in and get the pizza. When we got there it was like they forgot to put the pizza in. There was a whole group of his family there and maybe he did forget. He acted like we were inconveniencing him by ordering a pizza. I mean if you want to have a family party that's great but then don't take a to go order. We won't be back. Ordered delivery last night, a medium margarita pizza and a salad. Delivery took over and hour and a half and the margarita pizza ended up being a regular pizza with sliced tomatoes. This pizza was great! The fam is staying at Crescent Beach for the week and we were looking for somewhere to order pizza. We decided to try Tony's. We ordered a super supreme, a white, and a pepperoni. My husband and I picked it up. This spot is a little hole-in-the-wall type place, but the family that owns/operates it was SO NICE! Very sweet people. Our order was ready on time. If you're used to paying $10/pizza, this pizza will seem pretty expensive. It's about $16. Yes, it's a lot, but it was so good! I had a slice of the white (my favorite usually) and one of the super supreme. Both were excellent! Not what I expected from a tiny hole-in-the-wall place. The herb blend used on both pizzas was so delicious. The white pizza had a lot of ricotta on it, and it tastes FRESH! Not store-bought. I was happy to eat this pizza. Stopped in for an early lunch right at opening (time change had us hungry) and they were ready to go with a smile! The owner was EXTREMELY kind and the pizza was delicious. We had the small pepperoni mushroom pizza and it was so flavorful. Fresh mushrooms, fresh cheese, not greasy, piping hot and even the crust was amazing! Have taken out from Tony's for years. I have always thought the pizza is some of the best I have had. Took out again tonight and was not disappointed. Crust is nice and crispy with plenty of toppings and sauce just spicey enough. Garden salad was crispy and tasty. Dressings are very good. The owner is just the friendliest guy on the beach!
