    Onion soup

I been craving for a Japanese steakhouse quite a while, so I decided to visit this place during my staycation. My hotel was very nice to make a reservation for me, and I arrived at 7:30 in the evening. It was a bit crowded, but they were able to put me in a hibachi table with a group pretty quickly. I did the filet and shrimp with fried rice (about 28.50). It also included soup or salad (I chose soup), vegetables, and noodles. The soup was onion and had the perfect temperature. Just warm enough to enjoy without being scalding hot. The onions made the broth flavorful. Our chef came a couple minutes later and did the cooking show for us. He did the rice first, which was nicely fried and flavorful with the garlic butter. My filet was cooked perfectly at the rare requested temperature, making it melt in your mouth juicy. The shrimp tasted a bit sweet with the sauce, but it was still plump. The noodles also tasted a bit sweet, but still good. The vegetables were cooked just right, and adding the yum yum made it very enjoyable. Just like Kobe's, there were plenty of food that I saved some for the next day. The service was friendly and quick. Our chef was very entertaining and did some nice tricks like throwing small pieces of vegetables for us to catch in our mouths, the famous onion volcano, and even sake shots poured into our mouths. It was a Kobe's quality show. The atmosphere is pretty casual with just a few hibachi tables, and the rest being the sushi bar area. There is no outdoor seating that I saw, and the chillaxin music was only heard outside. Parking was pretty easy at the complex. I was very happy to learn that this restaurant did hibachi as I only thought it was a sushi restaurant. I got almost Kobe's quality show and food at a much cheaper price. 18 percent tip was automatically added to the bill, which still made it a good value. My hotel made a great suggestion and it was just 10 minutes away. This is now my go-to hibachi restaurant in the Ocala area.

Check out Tony's sushi that's been around for 24 years. I can see why. From the warm welcome, to the wonderful recommendations, excellent food and great prices, you're in for a treat. We had the patriot roll, shrimp shumai (steamed), pork gyoza (fried) and the scallops and shrimp hibachi. It was excellent and the customer from the staff and our server Natalie, was great! I would've liked the shumai to be hotter but even with that, it was still a great experience in a beautiful and clean atmosphere. If you're in Ocala and looking for great sushi, check them out and enjoy!

I love tepantaki, n this place doesn't disappoint! Server super friendly n chef super friendly. The show is great although the fire is a little dangerous! There was so much good, I'm writing this the next day, and i'm still full. I had combo filet mignon & shrimp so good. Have the fried rice, I made a mistake n orders white rice. But it was ok bc everything is a bit salty n buttery. If you don't like butter, this is not for you. Place is in front of convenient parking lot.

Amazing Service, Abby and Jordan were very knowledgeable and took care of us like Family. I will def come back because of the food and them. IO did have Trouble tho with one lady who seemed to not want to help us or acknowledge my wife and kids about where the bathroom was located.

What an amazing find in Ocala!! This was seriously the highlight of our trip!!! I love hibachi so I have done a lot of places. I am picky with my hibachi. And this place won me over and I totally recommend. What looks like a hole in the wall restaurant outside is actually a very nice restaurant inside!!! The menu was extremely affordable. My husband and I left with under 25 bucks each and that included sake!!! I ordered the shrimp and my husband ordered the chicken. The place includes an order of rice AND noodles!!! So much food I seriously took home and had leftover for two days after. The show was amazing!!! The guy was so much fun! He gave my husband a shot (large large shot) of sake which was soooo much fun!!! Honestly loved this place so much! Thank you for your hospitality and the amazing show!

I came here with my wife on our trip to Ocala. And I'm so happy that we stopped by this place. At first we stopped because my wife loves hibachi and she was so excited to try it out. This place won me overrrrrr. Pricing was amazing. Very very affordable for hibachi. In Miami everything would be like double the price. And the portions were hugeeeee. It brought rice noodles veggies soup and the protein. We had food leftover for day! The show was also so entertaining!!! Our guy was a lot of fun and super energetic. He kept playing tricks on us and even gave me a triple shot of sake! Overall loved this place. It was the highlight of our trip! I recommend for you to join if you are in the area!!

We love the 2 roll deal. The ingredients are always fresh. Our waitress Karla was attentive to our requests. She had a great smile. She wanted to make sure we had the best experience. She continually removed our empty plates and kept our drinks full. I recommend Karla to be Employee of the Month!

Celebrating one's mother properly can sometimes be difficult to do, and I wanted everything to feel thoughtful, elegant, and memorable. Steve, the manager, played an important role in making that happen, and I remain sincerely grateful for his kindness and attention to detail. Although our party was only three, we were given a beautiful table in the back that felt private, comfortable, and perfectly suited for the evening. We still enjoyed the lively energy from the nearby bar while having a quieter space of our own to celebrate. It struck the ideal balance between atmosphere and intimacy. Hailey was our primary server and was training George that evening, which meant we benefited from the care of two attentive and friendly servers. Service moved smoothly throughout the night and never felt rushed. The food was, for the most part, delicious, with steaks and dishes that reflected the restaurant's reputation for quality. There was one minor issue with my own steak, which had more butter than I would have preferred, but it was far too small a matter to overshadow the purpose of the night. What mattered most was seeing my mother genuinely happy and enjoying herself. That meant the world to me, and to her as well. My thanks to Steve, Hailey, George, and the Remington's team for helping create a birthday celebration I will remember with gratitude... and so will my mother.

As for the waitstaff in the restaurant, a bit more training on the menu might be advised. When asking for a recommendation I was recited the entire menu. Really??? The host was less than personable. This is the first and usually the last person to greet and thank their customers. Neither occurred when I was there. I have been there three times. I plan on going back again. I hope this time they will have beer for my brother as that is all he drinks. Maybe some local or specialty ones. The noise level was high all three times I was there. That can only be helped by doing something with the acoustics and adding sound dampeners. I look forward to giving them another try. I am hoping the host station will improve as well as the training of the waitstaff. I hope they are around for a long time and I wish them much luck.

We made a reservation for 3 PM but when we arrived, it didn't look like a reservation was needed since there were a few empty tables. Our server presented us their menu, with a Valentine's Day special menu insert. We already checked out their menu online so we pretty much knew what we wanted to order. We started with the Calamari Fritto ($17). Reading how their Maiale Osso Buco ($32) is their standout menu item, that's what I ordered. My wife was going to order off the regular menu but pivoted to the Ravioli di Aragosta ($35) upon seeing the special menu. We were served freshly baked rolls topped with toasted garlic and accompanied by an olive oil dipping sauce. That was yummy. The calamari was well prepared, flavorful, tender and not rubbery. My wife liked her ravioli, commenting how the pasta was perfectly cooked. It was accompanied by 5 pieces of large shrimp. My dish lived up to the billing as their best dish! One of the wait staff even commented how it's the best dish on the menu. Tender and juicy meat accompanied by creamy, well seasoned risotto. The portions were also quite generous that I had to take some leftovers home. Oh yeah, like any good restaurant, the wait staff puts your leftovers in a container instead of diners having to do so themselves. Always appreciated! Service was on point and the ambience was equally nice...although located along Silver Springs Blvd/Hwy 40, traffic noise can be heard inside. Dinner for 2 came out to just under $120 with tip. We'll be back.

This review being a Hail Mary for management to make necessary improvements! The only thing that earned this review its stars was the food itself. Me and my hubby booked a table for date night. We had high hopes as we love Brazilian steakhouses! Never had heard of this one, Exciting! When we arrived at 8, an hr before closing; we didn't have a long wait. We travel with a portable high chair as we prefer not to use in house ones. Noted in our reservation. As always, we place it on the table in a safe location as it is most beneficial for stability and functionality. The host came rushing back insisting that we needed to remove the chair as it puts our child in danger of the knife's that would be coming around, per the manager. It must be placed in a chair. I'm not one to swim against the current, so we tried to comply, however, this statement was obvious that it was a plain LIE. Truth be told, it "hurt the appearance" of the finer dining atmosphere. If the staff member would have just mentioned that nicely, we absolutely would have understood. But that did not happen. It was as if she was saying, "move it or leave". The biggest issue with moving it really came down to the round chairs. A square seat is not easily attach to its opposite shape. Leaving the seat and my baby in an unsafe and compromising position. Which in return, left my hubby sitting sideways the entire meal in an uncomfortable position. Using his leg to balance the chair to stay in place. (Swapping seats each time one of us needed to get up) During this time, our server came by to ask for drinks and we almost never saw her again. Both straws were cracked from top to bottom. We flipped our card over to begin meat service, though we were not noticed. After flagging one down, We kindly asked her to find our server for us. This came with a disgruntled face. She left before serving us, and the meat that she had never came back around again. This happened more than once. The first meat I received was the lamb chop. Just one left on the skewer. I took this one knowing more would follow. I WAS WRONG! We sat by the window where you could see the meat cooking and there were less than 10 skewers. The chicken lollipops and the bottom sirloin were fabulous. The flavor and tenderness were 10/10. But would never be seen again.. Pork once; at the very end. Overcooked and dry. Same with the bacon wrapped filet and the picanha. Never saw filet, sausage or any other meat that was listed on the menu. We had to ask for more meat to be brought to us and what we received had been cooked to death. The hot and cold salad bar options were great! Once our server was finally tracked down, we asked for refills on our beverages and working straws, though no luck on the straws. They were all broken. It even cut my tongue. I requested she bring my husband two glasses of his drink this time, because he is a fast drinker, and we weren't sure when we would see her again. Thank goodness I did; Because he would have never had another drink if it wasn't for that... Before we had even finished eating, she brought the bill. We ignored it and continued our conversation, but sometime minutes later she retrieved the bill that was not yet ready. Moments later, she came rushing back frantic that she had lost our card... Finally after all this, I gave her with the card before I even had looked over the bill. The bill was higher than any steakhouse we've visited like it. Despite having the worst service. We ordered nothing other than a fountain drink each with our meal. We STILL left a large gratuity knowing tips are shared. Side note, no plates have been picked up, and are stacked up to the side... I wanted a ToGo drink, but once our bill had been rendered. We never saw our server again. I flagged down another staff member and made the request to them, (Usw tea) and was served a Sw tea. I am unable to have sugar and this was a shock when I took a sip. I immediately notified her of the mistake, not even 10 seconds after it being delivered, and she went to correct it. She came right back to tell me that the tea had been dumped for the night. WE ARE STILL EATING AND THERE ARE MULTIPLE TABLES EATING AROUND US IN THE DINING ROOM! I genuinely do not understand how this is allowed! The clock strikes closing and you treat your guests like they've overstayed their welcome?? Revoking their beverages and not cooking/providing the meat that your customers come to eat their fill of?! At this point we are seriously turned off! After leaving..OUR SERVER..the one who vanished after bringing our bill in the middle of dinner...is outside on the phone waiting for her ride. No wonder we never saw her again! She was going home! The amount of Unprofessionalism is off the charts! If it truly was a "finer dining experience"The standard of service needs immense improvement!

I was with my in-laws, and we were looking for a place to eat dinner in downtown while waiting for some other family to join us. It seems like on Mondays, there is not a ton open in the downtown Ocala area in terms of restaurants. This makes sense, but we chose to eat here primarily because it was open on a Monday, along with recommendations from those I was with. They had eaten here before, but it was my first time. The restaurant is located on a corner in downtown Ocala, near the square. Since it is in the city, there is no dedicated parking beyond what you find on the street. However, I have never had an issue finding parking in the general area when visiting this part of town, so unless it is a crowded evening or special event, you should have no issues. When we arrived, it was still early in the evening and we had no issue getting a table. As the night progressed, more people started coming in for their Bachelor viewing party. It seems like this draws a big crowd. They even announced that they were doing giveaways and other fun activities for the series season finale the following week. I imagine they hold other types of events as well, so that might be something to look out for if you are planning on stopping. We sat at a table near the front, and waited a couple minutes for the server to come by. She was, honestly, somewhat aggressive and not very kind. I tried to order a beer on the menu, and she went to make sure it wasn't out of stock. Then, I asked her about the Monday special on the menu, and she acted like she never even heard of it before. She stated that she didn't normally work on Mondays, but the manner in which this was communicated made it feel like it was my fault for inquiring about this. I ended up having a Garage Beer on tap, and it was serviceable. I also wanted to order the advertised $10 Grilled Cheese and Fries special, and got the D-Nice Way Grilled Cheese with this. I actually very much enjoyed the grilled cheese, but the fries were the star of the plate. They were crispy and crunchy, but not very thin. I had never had a fry quite like that! Would highly recommend giving them a try here at least once. Our food came out in a reasonable timeframe after we ordered. It was not too quick, but did not take forever, either. Besides what I mentioned previously, I was satisfied with the other service received. I thought the prices here, in general, were fair and on par with other restaurants that are similar. They run different specials during different days of the week, as outlined on the menu. For example, Monday is supposed to be $10 Grilled Cheese and Fries. I ordered this, but I am not confident I got it for this price. Someone I was with paid the bill, but the waitress did not seem to be aware of what this special actually was. So, if you are wanting to order a special, I would explicitly say that when ordering to be sure you get it. Overall, I enjoyed the vibes and the food at this place. It seems like they have activities several nights a week to bring in different crowds, along with specials on food and drinks. The service left a lot to be desired, as our waitress was not very friendly nor knowledgeable on the specials. I would be willing to give this another try, but hopefully with a different waitress.

MAN VS. FOOD - 22 OUNCE RIBEYE - MAN WON!…read more When I think of celebrating my birthday meal, the first thing that comes to mind is a nicely marbled Ribeye...juicy, tender, buttery, and oh, so delicious! So when Kimberley K. recommended Stirrups and I reviewed the menu I was all in! The restaurant itself is located on the ground floor of the World Equestrian Hotel in Ocala, Florida. Now for those Yelpers reading this review from around the globe, Ocala is approximately a one hour thirty minute drive north from my home base of Orlando. No worries though, for a great meal, time and distance is no object. Upon entering the hotel and the restaurant, service was outstanding. From the doorman, to the front desk, to Margaret from Security (BIG THANKS FOR TAKING OUR PRE-MEAL PHOTOS), to our servers, I have only the highest of regards. And this brings us to our meal... River and Milagros did double duty as our servers and were a delight throughout the evening. The Bread Service to begin the meal was stellar. Three different bread options, including a Sweet Potato Roll (LUSCIOUS!)...and the Whipped Honey Butter (OH, YEAH!) For my entree, I chose the 22 oz. Bone-In Ribeye and Kimberley opted for the 8 oz. Filet Mignon. Both dishes included Roasted Vegetables but, we also selected the Florida Mushrooms and Charred Broccolini to accompany our meal. Paired with a glass of Prosecco for Kimberley and a glass of Pinot Noir for yours truly and we were set! Everything and I mean everything was tasty. The meat dishes were perfectly grilled to our requested temperatures and the seasoning was on point. The sides were flavorsome and plentiful. AND DID I MENTION THERE WAS NO TAKE HOME BOX FOR MY 22 OUNCE RIBEYE! Yes, it was "one and done"! But the festivities didn't stop there, I was provided a gratis Birthday dessert by the restaurant. A perfect ending to a memorable meal. And speaking of my memory, a tremendous THANK YOU to Kaysie at the host stand...she called me on my cellphone as Kimberley and I were leaving the hotel saying I left my birthday card at our table...Hey, I can blame forgetting my card on getting one year older or the fact I just ate a 22 oz. Ribeye at one sitting...come to think of it, I'm sure it was because of the RIBEYE!

Chatter noise was low enough Iwe could reasonably talk together! She started with a french onion soup, steamy and thick, obviously homemade!! I had a lobster bisque with baquettes. She then chose the chicken fried steak with mash potatoes & green beans. I had the braised short ribs Mirepoix, garlic mash potatoes & csteamed carrots with short rib reduction! We topped the night off with a delightful PRINCESS DIANA'S Taste of Ocala award winning Bruleed Bread Pudding w/ fresh berries & Amaretto , Almonds!! Btw, the Chicken fried steak is offered every Sunday. Our server, Joanne, was excellent and very knowledgeable!! The only downside was about 3 items unavailable due to heavy traffic on Valentine's Day on Saturday. The tables were candlelit, clean, and seating was comfortable. I wont mention our coke & tea, we just dont imbibe in alcoholic drinks. But it appeared they had a wide assortment of choices!! I recommend THE BRAISED ONION!!

The rolls and their butter were fabulous as was their onion fritters and short rib pasta. Service was great and the restaurant was a nice comfortable temperature. I'd go back but would skip the salmon!

I took my mom to LongHorn Steakhouse for her birthday dinner and it definitely did not disappoint…read more I've been wanting to try this place for the longest time after seeing it all over TikTok, and I can't believe I've been sleeping on it for all these years. This was my first visit! First of all, the bread... omg. It was so snugly soft and warm. I loved it. We also ordered the wings and I really enjoyed them. I believe they were baked, which is a plus for me because it made me feel a little guilt-free. Lol. They also have $6.49 margaritas all day, so you already know I had to grab one. And let me tell you... the bartender was NOT stingy with the liquor. My kind of bartender! For dinner, my mom ordered the ribs with a baked potato and broccoli. Mommy was reluctant to irder the ribs because she's so picky about her ribs but she sid not regret it. She loved them I got the Parmesan crusted ribeye with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Everything was delicious. The ribeye itself was tender perfection. The Parmesan crust had great flavor, although I will say if you get too much of it in one bite it can lean a little salty. Still very good overall. My husband ordered the Parmesan crusted chivken with a sweet potato and fries, and he had no complaints either. To top it off, I ordered the strawberry cheesecake (my mom's favorite) and it was so good. Now let me talk about our waitress. She was phenomenal! A ball of positive energy the entire time. She even had the most beautiful singing voice! I hate that I can't remember her name, but she absolutely deserves a raise. She was thoughtful, attentive, and honestly the bonus that made our overall experience even better. Overall, we had a great experience and no complaints at all. I'll definitely be back! Parking right in the front of the restaurant was a bit tight because it was a busy Friday night but there's parking surrounding the restaurant was since it shares a lot with some stores. Btw... the waitress told me that even though the menu doesn't say "Parmesan crusted" you can ask and they can basically add it to anything
