It may be the Too Cool Café, but it is not too cool for all to enjoy! This has a soft spot in my heart because it was one of the first restaurants that I went to when I moved here. The atmosphere is welcoming with some hip decor and the food is made with care. The tables are close and its a cozy little joint. They serve brunch until 2 pm that has the option of bottomless mimosas for $16... :) I enjoy their Apple Brie Burger (I forgot to take a photo...next time!) and their desserts are a must!! Homemade and done just right. I'll definitely be visiting again to explore more of their menu. read more

These folks went way out of their way to provide a memorable catered lunch for our clients there in Sat Beach, and it was chalked full of Amazing Tasting Foods, that included their signature sandwiches (-loved the chicken salad sandwich and Black and Blue Salad Melody), and for desert, the Bread Pudding with Vanilla ice cream was a taste of Heaven on Earth!!! My boyfriend and I ordered the Cool Eggs Breakfast x2 as well as the Nutella stuffed French toast. My boyfriend is obsessed with Nutella and he said it was "A1!" It's really not very difficult to give this cozy little Cafe a five star review with it's extremely friendly and efficient customer service with attention to every detail, every member of the staff during our recent visit was exceptional. We stopped in for a late lunch and fortunately we were able to get a table without any wait although the place was nearly filled to capacity. The menu is relatively simple and all the food coming out of the kitchen looked wonderful and everyone in the restaurant seemed extremely pleased. We chose the fried calamari appetizer to start and it was pretty amazing it was definitely fresh and hand breaded onsite and fried crispy in fresh oil, although it appears in the photo to only be lightly fried it came out exactly as we requested. The daily special was fish and chips and it was very special indeed - two 4 oz portions of hand battered cod fried perfectly served hot with a variety of condiments (malt vinegar-homemade tartar sauce and some of the freshly prepared alio we enjoyed with the calamari). We shared a piece of the carrot cake afterwards and it was amazingly moist and as delicious as any I've ever eaten. Upon our departure the owner spent a few minutes chatting with us ensuring everything was to our liking. It was so refreshing to see the owner and his staff take a genuine interest in knowing that our experience was a good one and sincerely asked if there was anything they could of done better... this is definitely a place to visit if you're looking for something unique for breakfast or lunch that's of the highest quality. read more

So my wife and I have gone to this spot before, and I had a hamburger, and I wasn't impressed at all with it. It wanst really bad but it just wasn't anything worth mentioning. Why: Starving like Marvin and hungry like Jack **My wife has a very special diet, so the fact that she could eat here is a great way to start. So its kind of like this little old house and you pull up it kind of has a small beach vibe to you. When you go inside, they have deserts, and the entryway is tiny, so you're smelling treats as you wait to be seated. Today when we went to eat, there was a 30 min wait, which I usually leave unless the place is supposed to be good. They insisted we sit outside and I knew I should have said no but I went along with it. The tables were worn, and they don't have fans or misters so I WOULD highly recommend never sitting outside, you'd do better to eat the pink hotdogs from the dollar store in your can than taking on that heat. It took 42 minutes for us to get our food, which was brunch food omelets etc.. My wife ordered her omelet, but she built it her self so it would be hard to make it worse because she chooses what went into it. They charged and upcharge for her to get fruit and she also ordered sweet potato fries to which she says are the best from this place. My kids shared a pretty huge burger I mean it's labeled a kids burger but could quickly fill up an adult. They devoured it, on the inside when we did get a moment out of the scorching heat the restroom is top-notch and even has Listerine for you if you happen to have some dry mouth. I ordered a spicy chicken omelet, and it was subpar the chicken on the inside was good, but it was pretty much chicken and egg, the bayou potatoes were dry. Now factor in the fact that they didn't have any mister or fan and the heat with subpar food and you get me sitting there not so happy. Overall it was subpar if okay experience, take it for what it is and let me know what you think. I found this Gem 5 years ago when I was looking for a place that allowed Dogs on their outdoor patio seating. It has been a wonderful experience every time we have come. I have been going here for awhile and buying gift certificates for clients. I went there Oct 9 and was so disappointed with the food ! Service is A+ great but my Deluxe Grilled Cheese sandwich does not taste the same. The cheese they used is sub par tasteless, like lard! My husband tried the Philly cheese steak sandwich and it's no different than going to Arby's paper thin meat . Tasteless . So sad , they used to have quality food . This place is fantastic. The menu has an ideal amount of food in each category. There were multiple things that sounded great and I genuinely had a hard time choosing my order. We ordered the calamari and it was perfectly/lightly battered and had terrific sauce. We had the Thai curry pasta with chicken and the Hangover Cure burger. Both were served quickly and tasted great. Too Cool Cafe also has a dessert case with very tempting assortment of treats like chocolate pretzel brownie, sea salt caramel crunch cookies, coconut macaroons, and my selection a peanut butter cut chocolate cake. Ok, I have to get this off my chest....This place has a great vibe and their food is good, but I have an issue with their "Nutella" crepe. I ordered one several months ago, but the "Nutella" was something resembling Hershey's chocolate syrup. Fast forward to last Wednesday, and I ordered it again, after being assured by our waitress that they did indeed use "real Nutella." As soon as she put the plate in front of me, I knew I'd been misled again - the color was wrong, the consistency was wrong - it was all just wrong. I spent part of my childhood in Germany and I know my Nutella, LOL. I've got nothing against whatever chocolate sauce it is that they used, and the crepe was good - but don't advertise it as a Nutella crepe when I know that's not what I was served. This place is a hidden gem! Just off the inter coastal waterway, this small establishment has vibes for days. The seating is largely outdoors, but ok because you have umbrellas and the sea breeze. My family had raved about this place. I knew it as ​Mr. Donut growing up. The interior is dark and cluttered with an "inspirational​" phrase on every​ surface and wine and mimosa's a common theme. They split servers between inside and out so your server may be outside when you want something. The food took longer to come out than it should​ and you could tell it sat in the pass because​ the scrambled eggs were lukewarm​ and my omelet​e only hot in the center. No expeditor and if the waitress is divided between in and out how does she know an order is ready...or maybe help each other out. I am not sure if the set up is food safe with roll-up​ shades as a barrier......black paint on the ceiling beams is yuck too. Plus points for fresh spinach but no need to cook it into the omelet​. Great little cafe with friendly service and very good food. You can sit inside with air or outside on a little patio. Unfortunately there's not a lot of atmosphere outside so we chose air. We both ordered the champagne sangria which was delicious and a nice big glass of champagne with probably sprite or something and bits of fruit. Then we ordered a burger with apple and Brie which was tart from the apple and sweet from the Brie, and a burger with goat cheese. We shared an order of sweet potato fries. Everything was very tasty.
