roast beef sandwich take out with my own chips
    Marisa M.

Very good! Ordered takeout here for my grandfathers birthday. The order was correct and fresh, the woman at the counter was super friendly. When we walked in we noticed the place was very clean. I got a roast beef sandwich and I loved it. Plenty of roast beef and it was tender and yummy. I got it on rye bread and it was fluffy and fresh. I put mayo on it. I brought my own chips and ate the sandwich with them. I liked the coleslaw, but the thought the pickle slice was small. My dad and grandpa got corned beef and really Liked it. The matzo ball soup looked good too. The 4 potato pancakes were good, they had a good texture and nice size. It was a little too oily and fried for me. I would definitely come back again. Great price for quality and quantity of food.

Used to love this place, but really feel their quality has gone down, even their (used to be ) wonderful rye bread was lacking The soup was a asty but the main meal was bland. I will say this, the server Greg really seemed to be pushing it He was flying but he was the only one. Others were definitely less enthusiastic. Too bad, I really liked them.

Stopped in for a lunch while running errands. Seated right away and server was very pleasant and helpful. I ordered the half sandwich and Soup special. Chicken noodle and corned beef on Rye. The server stirred the pot, to bring up all the goodies to add to my bowl and the corned beef was served on soft Rye bread, accompanied with Cole slaw and a slice of pickle. Everything was delicious!

We had a very good lunch here. They were quite busy when we stopped by, but both the service and the kitchen were fast and efficient. They had a soup and sandwich special which we both decided to get. I got matza ball soup and a chicken salad sandwich. He got chicken noodle soup and a tuna salad sandwich. The server brought the soups out first. They were both piping hot and packed with chicken and veggies. His had noodles and mine has a large fluffy matzo ball in a tasty chicken broth. The soup was very good. Our half sandwiches were both on rye bread with a lettuce leaf and tomato slices. There was a slightly sweet crunchy cole slaw served on the side. And a marinated dill pickle spear. I really liked my dill chicken salad sandwich-- chunky and very fresh. Not too much mayo, either. The rye bread was very fresh. My only minor quibble the bread was quite soft in the center and got a bit mushy from the wet salad. That rye bread would have been better slightly toasted. I'll try to remember that for next time. And I'd definitely come back. Need to try some of their traditional deli items like their pastrami and corned beef, etc.

    "Medium" cooked beef.

"Meh" is the best word to describe this dining experience. Positive: - seated quickly - friendly server Not as great: - my burger/swiss steak was ordered medium and came out like a hockey puck - the side of green beans showed up as broccoli - fries were unevenly cooked temperature wise - family member who ordered the latkes barely ate them as oddly overdone and dry - limited menu if you have dietary restrictions (burger/swiss steak or salad about my only option without having to swap out everything - this place puts cheese on everything) If you are looking for basic, boring deli - you found it!

I count myself among the TooJay's fans. The Florida based, New York-style delicatessen chain was founded in 1981 by friends and business partners Mark Jay Katzenberg and Jay Brown, the two Jays in the restaurants name. The first location opened in Palm Beach's Royal Poinciana Plaza and today there are over 20 TooJay's in Florida. They are known for their deli sandwiches, soups, salads, and bakery. This TooJay;s is located in the Oakwood Shopping Center in Boynton Beach. It is beginning to feel a lot like Thanksgiving and I was craving their Turkey Cranberry Griller, a sandwich with all of the flavors of Thanksgiving. Grilled whole wheat bread is topped with Swiss cheese, sliced turkey, cranberry sauce, fresh herbs, arugula, cornbread stuffing, and turkey gravy. It is served with mashed potatoes and gravy. It is the ultimate of comfort foods. By signing up to receive their texts I received a $5 off $20 coupon code. I used my savings to get a piece of their excellent coconut cake to go. You can also join their e club for more promotions and special offers. The service at this location was great as was my meal. I left very satisfied.

TooJays has my heart after visiting for breakfast the other weekend. I didn't realize they had relocated , so when I noticed this location I knew I had to try it. Came here on a Sunday morning and was surprised that is wasn't too busy. My waiter was super friendly, got me seated right away and brought us coffee. My food was unbelievable. The waffle was thick and fluffy. I of course had to get the warm fruit topping, which I'm pretty sure is a cheesecake topping, and it is by far the greatest combo I've ever had with a Belgian waffle. My dad ordered the French toast and it was made on brioche bread, making it fluffy and light. They are also a deli, so they have huge cases of bakery treats and other deli goodies. I skipped past the deli stuff because of the scrumptious looking cakes of course, but everything I saw looked very fresh and well worth trying. It seems like TooJay's has so much to offer !!!! We were both stuffed after breakfast and happy as could be!!!! I can't wait to come back for lunch or dinner.

$16 for 6 average, tiny wings. we ordered 2 orders of wings and like what are they thinking?? They cost them .10 cents I imagine . Horrible waste of money.

    "Grilled chicken"
    Jamie K.

Horrible food. They used to be well, now the kitchen has no idea what they are doing. I posted a photo of "grilled chicken" repulsive. It was suppose to go on my salad. I cut it up and ate a piece before I realized that it had moist chunks on it, as if it was sitting in water then "grilled" on the stove top. Plus it came out cold. We got matzo ball soup that tasted lake flour, no taste at all.

    Turkey Sandwich $14.95
    CJ J.

I can't believe this place is still open. The prices are excessive for absolute garbage food. I will attach a picture of my 1495 turkey sandwich that I purchased and honest to God I thought it was a joke. Got home and of course they forgot the french fries that I paid an extra 295 for. So I got a pitiful sandwich and it looked like maybe three week old side of coleslaw.

Coming in May meant drastically less of a wait than in the Winter months which was nice. We were seated in a booth and immediately brought out complimentary marble cake for the table. I got a bowl of oatmeal (brought out as more of an appetizer) as well as the brown sugar, raisin, and cinnamon fixings. Just an average experience all around with below-average service and cleanliness.

The best part Chef Rudy prepares the Reuben and honestly this place never disappoints. Everything is fresh and well prepared. If you're in the Lake worth area and want a great Reuben Sandwich, highly recommend Gourmet Deli House.

The Lobster Salad Melt was definitely a popular choice. My husband thought the menu was huge and had so many things we wanted so we decided that we had to order the Whitefish Salad with Rye Bread and a Turkey Reuben. The complimentary added pickles made the meal perfect. Our server, Tyra, was great! She had a great attitude and made sure that we had everything we needed right down to the take home containers for our leftovers since the portions are so big. Everything we ordered was delicious and I was a little skeptical when I looked at the ingedients because it seemed like there was a lot of colorful fillers in the whitefish (and all their salads that are scooped) but it worked to give an added flavor but not over powering the fish flavor. The restaurant was clean and definitely could tell that it had been around for a long time. The meal was great and we are looking forward to a return visit and to check out their wonderful bakery items in the showcase.

The place is completed remodeled with new owners. Megan was our server extraordinaire and brought me a large cup of delicious brewed coffee. We both got the breakfast special which included a drink. I had three scrambled eggs, grits and a toasted sesame bagel. Dave had the same with pancakes instead of the bagel. The grits were brought out in a shissel along with brown sugar and raisins. Dave loves that-I prefer savory butter lol! Then the eggs were a very large portion and done just right. I swear I had a bagel that was on steroids lol! It was the biggest bagel that I have ever seen. David got two large pancakes along with warmed syrup! Who could ask for anything more. Megan said the bagels were baked right there! The price was a modest $9.99! A bargain considering we usually pay over $3.00 a cup of coffee here. It makes me sad that I left my home there 12 years ago! I had many wonderful memories of eating at Poppies with my friends and family. Consistency and good service and that is what Poppies is all about!

Tried the next slice, dry and no flavor. It seemed like the turkey was microwaved. I had to return the meal, ordered a burger, and that was good. My wife ordered a brisket, very lean. It was dry as expected, but had no flavor. She orders the brisket at all the other Jewish deli's in the area and all have flavor, although very dry when ordered extra lean. The others all ordered cold sandwiches and were fine with their meals. The only comments were the rye bread looked packaged from a market, not your typical Jewish Rye, but they still enjoyed their sandwich. The remodel is really first class, definitely the nicest Jewish deli in the area.
