We ordered two classic sandwiches through GrubHub. It took over an hour to get the meals and they were both wrong. We called the restaurant and politely asked them to correct the order and redeliver the correct sandwiches. The manager was incredibly rude and said it was not his responsibility to take care of incorrect orders, and that most likely they sent out the right thing and we were wrong, how ridiculous is that when I order a turkey sandwich and I got nothing but a dry corn beef sandwich. He doesn't deserve to have a job. Completely disappointed, and will never set foot in that establishment again. Besides that if you have ever been in there, it looks like it's ready to close anyway. I can't imagine why anyone would rate this restaurant is anything less than five stars food is always delicious. Wait staff go out of their way to provide what we order exactly the way we've ordered it and the manager always comes over to see if we're happy I ordered our Thanksgiving dinner from there and it was fabulous and we eat there at least once or twice a week so I don't know who would've written a bad review. I have only been here once and the experience was a very nice one. So my dad found this place and wanted Matzo Ball soup. Well, this was the perfect place to stop. I cannot remember who but one of his friends told him about it. Now my review is a bit old and I was not on Yelp when I came in. So I did not get the name of our server. I think he may have been a manager as well. Soft spoken and very pleasant. The place is a nice size and we went for dinner. It was nice and quiet. Very pleasant environment. So for me the issue was..what do I get? I really REALLY craved a burger. I was not sure how it would taste as that did not seem to be their specialty and also did I mention I am the most picky burger eater on the planet? I really am so almost did not get one but.. I decided to take a chance. I was quite wary. Now I am not going to say "best burger I ever had in my life!!". But I will say..it was plenty good! Well above average. Stacy is the reason that my wife and I visit twice a week. Her service is exceptional, she tops up my coffee without being asked and she is super personable. A great asset to the store, by far the best customer service person, (she is more than a waitress or server); a friend for sure. My girlfriend and I placed an order for pick up at the Boynton Beach location. I picked up the food about 20 minutes after ordering and went straight home with the order. I found that my order was missing the side of French fries and the bun on the sandwich that I ordered was wet and mushy from moisture from the meat. This means that the sandwich had been pre-made and was sitting for a period of time. Very upsetting. Also, my girlfriend had ordered a large salad with no onions because she hates onions and her salad was loaded with them. This will be the last time we order from this restaurant. read more

Not worth the money. My pastrami sandwich was only half full. It was mostly cheese and bread. It was the smallest amount of meat I have ever received in a deli. The coleslaw was tasteless and I had to put on a ton of pepper in order to eat about a third of it. The french fries were just OK! I will not come back. I can get more bang for my buck elsewhere. Went in Sunday afternoon and the place was pretty much empty. A family of five walked in right before us, the hostess (slowly) went about preparing a table for them. In a world where most people are simply too busy to be kind ...TooJay's has an employee named KIMI who works at the takeout counter she is quite extraordinary. This was my first time meeting her . Long story short .. went in to pick up a take out order I was really having a very bad day. I sighed as I was paying & asked "Did you ever just really have a bad day?? ". She couldn't have been more kind with her heartfelt words making me truly feel it will get better. She was professional and most of all extremely kind. Is a zero star review possible? I have been to this location a number of times and the service is usually fair to good, however the past two visits after being seated I wasn't even offered a menu until getting up and specifically asking is someone could help me. Tonight was the topper, after being told to sit wherever we wanted, we sat in an area near the front that appeared to have two had waitresses helping just three tables of patrons. After 20 minutes of two different servers helping the tables right next to ours, we still had no menu and nobody had even taken our beverage order. To add to the insult, a table of three was seated after us and had their orders taken and beverages served by their cheerful waitress who was apparently oblivious to the table of two that had been waiting for some level of service. Any level of attention would have been appreciated as I am really not that hard to please, in fact the previous time someone finally came up and apologized and took our drink order so I decided to stick it out. I have a love hate relationship with TooJays. On the one side I LOVE their chicken soup and desserts... on the other I dislike pretty much everything else. Ok ok it's not THAT bad. The service at this one is very hit or miss. Sometimes it's fine, sometimes it's horrible. However I would say we have had more good ones than bad ones, but it's never great. Their chicken soup in my opinion is the best. I would buy that stuff by the gallon if I could. My girlfriend also likes their matzo ball soup. Also their pastries, cakes and other sweets are also amazing. Their sandwiches are ok depending on which one you get. For example their ruben is decent, however their turkey club sucks. It has a lot of turkey but almost nothing else making it super dry and hard to swallow. Now as far as their other dishes like meatloaf etc I've never been impressed by any of them. It's usually not horrible, but not great either. Personally when we come here we stick with the soup and a sandwich. If they didn't have their soup and desserts it would probably be a 2 star... but dat soup though!!!! read more

Im going to start this off with the some how more minuscule issue which was the staff- the girl at the front was not only rude but was also making fun of an apparent repeat customer to her coworker right in front of me while i was deciding what to order. I landed on a cheesecake and key-lime pie, which brings me to my main complaint. The key-lime pie crust was extremely soggy and the sugar was not dissolved in the filling- making it a mouth-full of lime flavored sand. The cheesecake should be considered a federal crime. It took on exact texture of moon sand due to the cream cheese being curdled and then cooked at too high of a temperature. Toojays....... Count your days. read more

Chicken soup bottom of the pot you couldnt see any vegetables in it and the glazed brussels sprouts shriveled almost cold obviously reheated in the microwave briefly. Lunch was calling, so I stopped in to get a bite to eat. I'm a fan of Toojay's and made the appearance at the one in Boynton for the first time after having my son run some of his energy off at the mall. There's plenty of seating and they have a deli/bakery section by the entrance to get some goodies on the way out or in. I got the pick two combo, which was half of a turkey sandwich and a side ceasar salad. It was fresh and I enjoyed it. My son loved the French bread pizza and the applesauce was a plus. Our waiter was alright. I think he was the only one that covered the section that we were in and it was during a busy lunch hour. He did get the food out quickly, but we had to wait a little longer at the end for our bill. I could see that he was starting to get stressed out by being rushed. I'm not sure if they were understaffed, but the staff could have coordinated it a little better with the waiters. It's affordable and the place was clean. I've been to the one in Palm Beach Gardens more than here and it's 30 minutes away. Maybe it'll change ;) read more

I've seen a lot of 1 stars and wondering if we actually ate at the same restaurant!! Fortunately I've never had a problem with service or the food. My first visit at the new building has been during covid and I actually felt safe eating inside. I usually don't. The service has always been excellent and my sandwiches are huge! We usually do take out and we've never had a problem. Online ordering is a breeze and we've never gotten a wrong order! The Reuben is soooo delicious!! Today around 3ish I decided to go here. We were welcomed by the two men at the bakery and then seated. They were EXTREMELY slow! We were our servers only table, which is probably why we got our food so quickly (yay)! While our server was nice and answered our questions we just felt a little bit rushed, for example she was like "did you decide yet?" as if we had been there for an hour deciding, when it hadn't even been 10 minutes. Other than that, we had no complaints. She refilled drinks before us having to ask, brought us bread, & our food fast & hot!! I had the Shepard's pie which I really enjoyed and my very picky boyfriend really liked his beef brisket sliders. I love this TooJay's. I like going here before or after a movie at Cinemark Boynton Beach. My favorites are the chopped salad, matzo ball soup, and for dessert you must have the Banana Dream! It's absolutely the best! The sandwiches, especially with rye bread are good. Every now and then I'll buy some rugelach to take home: chocolate & raspberry are really good. We are usually pleased with TooJays, but this past week we went in for lunch. I ordered my usual half tuna sandwich and soup. Husband was in the mood for Pastrami. He ordered hot Pastrami on Rye. The Pastrami was tough and chewy. After being In the Provision business for many years, we knew that the Pastrami was sliced with the grain instead of against the grain. Slicing meats such as Pastrami, Corned Beef or Roast Beef against the grain of the meat produces a much more tender slice of meat. His sandwich was inedible. We sent the sandwich back. Our waitress was very nice and did apologize, but when she returned, we asked her what the kitchen said, and she said they just said, "ok". Really? The sandwich was taken off of our bill, but we really will Not be going back any time soon. Shame on TooJays for not training their employees on How to properly slice their meats. read more

Because of the situation with COVID, I have been very worried of visiting restaurants to sit-down and eat. Visiting this location was my first time having a sit-down mean since the start of the pandemic. To make a long story short, my party and I were treated very well! I didn't feel unsafe or worried about the precautions taken, at any point. All of our utensils were packaged individually, and any refills were provided in a new cup. The food, as usual, was great.
