Been going here since we moved here back in 2001 although I know they closed for a bit to renovate but never the less for a while that I can remember. We've never had a bad experience here, service is a bunch of kids who try to do a great job, quality is pretty good across the board and the location is great. I would say it's pretty old and a bit dirty sometimes and maybe they could focus on that. Having said that I'm referring mostly to the outside area since that's where we mostly try to eat. Burgers are fine, tater tots are crazy good, shakes are wonderful. The owner is there a lot and seems like a nice guy. He'll leave you alone mostly but if you recognize him and say hey he'll say hey back LOL. He hires local kids and they're very nice and good at what they do. They do a TON of business so I'm sure there are hiccups every now and then, what do you expect? We love it here and will continue to eat here every once and a while as long as we're living in the area. read more

Wouldn't waste your time. Even when they aren't busy the kids who work the place will tell you 45 min on food just so you will go away. If you have the guts to tell them you will wait they leave your food out for 20 min and deliver it cold. I grew up in Camas, WA. Went to all Camas schools: Lacamas, JDZ, Skyridge and Camas High School. That being said, "back in my day" all we had was Top Burger. And it was awesome. Flash-forward to today: I'm a "young professional" (kind of hate that label... no idea why I'm using it?), married, older and fatter than I was in school (even college). My brother and I (he's my twin, so we also experienced all Camas schools) were driving into Camas last night when we both had (since, you know, we're twins) the urge for some food. The decision was made: a visit to Top Burger was in order. It had been 10 years since I had been back and, really, not a whole lot had changed in that span: you still have that "old diner" kind of atmosphere, the menu is still a little daunting and, most importantly, the fries are still freakin' awesome. Rule 1 when going to Top Burger: you get the seasoned fries. The fries were as glorious as they were 10 years ago, which a whole lotta seasoning and a good quantity in the medium I ordered. You can't miss the fries. Rule 2 when going to Top Burger: if ordering a burger, do not go any simpler than the Top Burger. Any option of a "simpler" burger than the Top Burger might give you the wrong vibe; if you're ordering a burger, you need to go Top Burger or bigger. The burgers that do not feature the Top Burger spread (such as the secret sauce, lettuce, tomato, pickles and additional cheese and onion choices) come off as being a little plain and not very impressive. Rule 3 when going to Top Burger: get a milkshake. Even if you're stuffed, get a milkshake. Top Burger has some awesome milkshakes. I'd echo a previous reviewer's comment on taking your order to go and enjoying it in Crown Park. I can only think that, when busy, it could take some time to get your food (it was 10 years ago)... so that might be a drawback for some folks. A great local Burger Stand! Simple as that. The old old owners took the restaurant back over as the old owners just did not have the spark that they needed. Burgers are great. Hand scooped ice cream, killer hot dogs and a fantastic onion ring. It is true that the drive through takes some time but this is not fast food, it is made to order which you can tell with the first bite. The staff is made up of the local high school kids always with a smile and ready to help. Tip: If you do go through the drive through and are waiting behind a car get out and put your order in at the walk up window. This can help speed up the process. read more

The sign on the window states closes at 8:00 8:30pm. This has happened to us twice. Apparently, they stop taking orders at 7:45pm. Less than happy with my experience today at Top Burger. You order and picked up from same walk up window from a rude young man who yells at you if you stand on the stoop. He assumed since I was alone I was only ordering a single item and tried to total me before I was done ordering. In the days of COVID they can be better if they allowed one person or group together into the front space where they can read a menu and order. Then pick up the order at the back window. It was a cluster with all the people and drive up cars in the back. Top Burger is a great lunch escape for a co-worker and myself. She introduced me to this location, which is small but cozy for catching up on office gossip. It also happens to remind me of a restaurant that my grandmother used to own, the burgers are a close match. A typical burger with small fries and a medium drink will run you almost $10. A little steep in my book for the quality of the food. The burgers are messy, way to much lettuce, and bun and meat are Sysco food grade (aka mass distributed.) Which is probably why it reminds me of my grandmothers restaurant. What would make this better? Ensure the quality of the food matches the price. Don't use preformed meat from a bulk distributor. Another old-school small town, slightly kitschy American diner with decent burgers and fries. My problem was not liking how the lettuce crunched (it didn't really), how the sauce got really messy dripping out of my burger and onto my hands, leaving me with a sense of 'greasy', even though to be fair, it really wasn't that bad. Mine was a jalopeno burger and fair warning, I found it hot. And that's saying something given that I usually have to convince certain ethnic restaurants to make it like home. I found the seasoned fries not to my taste, but that's OK. They were saltier than I like them. I stopped by here after fishing at Lacamas lake. I ordered the veggie burger and it wasn't what I expected. The texture of the patty was definitely different than I am used to. It was moist and fell apart easily. I like mine crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It just wasn't for me. But the fries! They were Crack fries I tell you. I just kept on eating and eating. They tasted like normal fries that I would find elsewhere but addicting. We ordered in the drive through on a hot day. Bad idea. The place was busy. I am born and raised in Vancouver/Camas area. Top Burger has been a part of my entire life. Top Burger is a local icon. If you didn't know any better you'd think it's gone to the employee's heads!! It's almost like they think they can be as snotty and rude as they want to be because people will keep coming anyway. I've watched how people are treated when they are placing their order and it's so rude!! Some of the employees need an attitude adjustment. It's not just how they treat customers. They treat each other badly too!! Tonight I stood there thinking, "am I the only one seeing and hearing this?" So inappropriate and rude. The customers weren't being rude. All they did was follow directions they were given to place their order. The girls all acted as if people ordering were an imposition. Then they treated each other the same. It's nuts. It's not just tonight. This is a usual occurrence!! The drive-thru is always completely inefficient and ridiculous. The wait is insane. Last time I went through I had to wait 15 minutes for my order and the girl sorta just shoves it in the window with no apology for the crazy long wait or no token "have a good night." The food continues to go downhill too. No care put into it like in the past. The owner is either oblivious or doesn't care. After tonight I'm not sure if we will be back. After giving them 10 "last chances" I'm thinking we might finally be done. Very sad. But 1. I'm not going to witness someone being treated the way they treat people 2. This place used to be great. The last two times we have gone here they have taken over 30 mins for a simple grilled cheese and chicken strips order. By the time we finally got our food (after being told to go park) both my kids were crying and miserable. Why have a drive through if you cannot deliver food in a reasonable amount of time. I am a burger fanatic and I am always in search for the best burger. Before I tried the top burger, I always love having Dick's burger from time to time and believed that Dick's has the best burger in the whole washington state. As of right now, I do believe that Top Burger's taste and quality is right up there with Dick's of Seattle. This joint is by far better than the well known fast food joints in the country. I started off saying this was my first time here. I asked for a bbq sandwich, asked if they put cole slaw on that and was told no, asked what type of bbq sauce was on it & if it was just the meat or was the sauce on it too.. was told it came on there. Also ordered a cheeseburger to try it out. When our order came out they had given me a bbq bacon cheeseburger instead of the SANDWICH I asked for. Some old lady came and gave me attitude saying I need to specify that I wanted a bbq pulled pork sandwich as if "bbq sandwich" with all the added questions wasn't enough.. she didn't repeat our order back to us either or I wouldn't caught a bbq bacon cheeseburger being added that wasn't supposed to be. My milkshake cup was also tore at the bottom and leaked all over my pants, and the first straw they gave me was broken, then the second one I asked for was broken as well.. the milkshake wasn't that great, not that I could drink it anyway. The cheeseburger I asked for was cold, the cheese wasn't even melted. They put pickles when I specifically told them what I wanted on the burger and pickles was not on the list. Honey mustard tastes trash here. & the BBQ PULLED PORK SANDWICH was hella soggy, good though. Fries are good too. Overall I wouldn't recommend for what it costs. read more

The first time I came here a few years ago I brought my kids and there were two girls kissing in the kitchen. I was stupid enough to come back and had my card charged twice, terrible service. The next time I came the burgers were barely cooked and dark pink. The employees are rude, the owners are even more rude and treat this place like a cash cow and get greedier every year hiking up the menu even though there is much better food with much better prices everywhere else. Take a look at the back of the restaurant next time you think this place is clean. Swung by for a burger today. Everybody had the same idea as it's a holiday weekend and nice out. Walk up ordering or drive through were the only options. Took about 15 minutes to get through the line to order and about the same to get our food. Burgers were pretty dang good. Buns were soft, meat wasn't burned or dry, condiments were just right. Reminded us both of an old school burger place. Seasoned fries were yummy especially with thier fry sauce. Giving a pass on no dining room and the wait my only complaint is this was a bit pricey. Two burgers, one large fry, and no drinks was $23.00. Not terrible, not great. We will visit again for sure. I would say solid 3.5 stars. Next trip will tell the tail. read more

We ordered through the drive thru. 2 small milkshakes and medium fry. The service was prompt and friendly. My fries were under cooked which was a bummer. But the butterfinger milk shake was excellent! I wanted to get a kid size milk shake for my daughter, but the kid size is only available with the puchase of a kids meal. I think the novelty of Top Burger is its hometowny feel and long tradition. Who in the Camas/Washougal area doesn't have memories here? The restaurant itself is tiny. There's nothing particularly special about the decor, although the recent updates make it seem cleaner and more inviting. Also, I've always thought the candy sticks on the counter are very quaint. The food is good, for fast food. I especially love the milkshakes and the seasoning they use on the fries. I'm going to continue to eat here when I'm in the area. Stopped for a bite after a trip to Lacamas Lake with the family, we were always curious to stop in. My Wife had some amazing fried chicken, I had a bacon cheeseburger, and my Son had a kids burger. We went through the drive-in, no problems at all. Got home and enjoyed some delicious eats! This place gets an A+! read more

Been here over 5 times before I left a review in hopes that one visit would be a good one, but I was wrong . Service is horrible, these girls that work here are either to young to realize the urgency and mannerisms of serving people. It's like your typical teen with a attitude. Waited almost 10 minutes for 1 soft serve cone. All you have to do is get the cone and hold it for 10 sec under the machine and it took 10 minutes until I went to the front and smile as I was waiting . The burgers are okay but way to much sauce every time. But over all the service is just so bad that I will never go back and rather drive to burgerville next to Safeway. I live in camas and it is very unfortunate that we cannot have a close little food spot that has great service & great food. I hope they replace the restaurant with another asap! read more

So very very sad for Emma!!! Emma went to top Burger in Camas yesterday with her friend after school and ordered french fries and two milkshakes waiting for the french fries to arrive she decided to put ketchup on a napkin instead of on the french fries because it would make them soggy when the waitress brought Emma the french fries she told Emma that she needed to clean up her mess or she was going to be kicked out of the restaurant and keep her laughter down. I have dealt with the owner of top burger for 2 days now who should be very ashamed of herself and is a very horrible person for allowing her employees to run top Burger instead of her. The owner of top Burger does not agree with putting ketchup on napkins and dipping french fries in them because she feels that it is a disgrace to the restaurant and makes a mess. I told her that she should be ashamed of herself for allowing the employees to have power to speak to children that do not have supervision around them in the manner that they feel that they can. The old lady that brought the food too the table told my daughter and her friend to stop laughing and keep their voices down. I tried to explain to the owner that there is harmless play in putting ketchup on a napkin and dipping your French fries in it and judging by the amount of people that are in your restaurant at the time this picture was taken shows that voices will carry an echo off of the wall because you have nobody except my children eating at your restaurant right now. What's up with this place!? No exaggeration - 50 percent of the time, you can't finish your food because there's some mysterious flavor that is not born from any food product. Last night my hamburger tasted like mold or plastic..? Not sure how to describe the taste, but it wasn't from meat, cheese or bread.
