These guys are great! I had a broken mainline underneath a 25 unit apartment complex that ended up leaking over 1000 gallons of sewage underneath our property. Top Down Restoration was at the property next day cleaning and sanitizing the entire property and even walked into each of the lower units that had sewage backups and cleaned the tubs and sanitize them. Last Wednesday (the day before Thanksgiving) we had a cracked hot water pipe under our kitchen sink. We had the water immediately turned off as we got estimates and filed a claim for the work. We called out a big name plumber that came recommended to service the problem on Black Friday. Within minutes of looking at the damage that plumber was on the phone with this restoration company getting them to come out and inspect the damage. At first I was relieved I thought wow how helpful are these two gentlemen that showed up so quickly. Pablo from Top Down showed up. He inspected the area and seemed excited that the insurance claim could mean a new kitchen. I explained I just wanted my kitchen back to normal and in a timely manner as I had our Family Christmas party the following weekend. Unfortunately we found out Monday the damage was not covered under our insurance. Which apparently was not what Top down wanted to here as their service just got slower and slower. I spoke with Pablo Monday to come to the house and start the process Tuesday, but reminded him I still needed an estimate. Pablo confirms the job will start Tuesday. The only thing that happened Tuesday was a surprise asbestos test that Top Down required before they can do the work. Pablo calls my brother saying he is sending the asbestos guy over (weird how yet again a company is called on our behalf without our approval) but this time with the threat that Top down can't start the work without the test. Great so now we our cornered and the company that shows charged us $450 for a 2min stop in our house. Tuesday night I call an speak to Pablo AGAIN I explain to him I'm tired of the delays and run arounds. That I will be home Wednesday and need him to provide estimates and get the work done we are now 3 days away from my family Holiday party. Pablo tells me that I don't want poison in my house and he assures me he will get everything moving along Wednesday morning once he gets the test results back. It gets better it's Wednesday (1) week since the leak (2) days after Pablo said the job would start and I still don't have a quote, hell today he didn't even call back. I left a message for him and his company directly. I even called the damn over priced asbestos company and we are clear. That was enough I took matters into my own hands had another restoration company come to my house. SURPRISE there is no crisis under my kitchen sink. Bonus they said the Asbestos test could have been done for $20. I had a different plumber come out as well. THANK GOD because now I have hot water end all the nonsense that has been talked over the last few days is gone. Word to the wise watch out for companies that "refer" a friend, or calls someone on your behalf. I'm sure it's on their behalf more then anything. read more

I had a pipe under my sink that had been leaking for some time, but I didn't notice it until water was all over the kitchen floor. The plumber I used recommended that I use a water damage removal service and recommended Rex personally to help me out with this issue. Rex was great, very easy to get in contact with and came out immediately to give me an estimate and let me know how he would be able to take care of the problem. He was very good at working around my schedule to check on the work and after a few days of dehumidifiers running, the area under the sink was dry and undamaged. My upstairs bathroom flooded. It made a huge mess, both upstairs and on the ceiling of the lower floor. I needed some serous help to get it all dried out ASAP. I had two companies come out and quote the dry-out job. The first guy (from the other company) seemed like a slimy used-car salesman, and I basically didn't trust him. I felt like he was just saying whatever he thought I wanted to hear in order for him to get the job, and he was quoting additional work that did not need to be done. Next, Mike from Top Down Restoration came out to look at the job. Unlike the first guy, Mike seemed to genuinely care about the situation and find the way to fix it as economically as possible. He seemed very honest and trustworthy, as his price was a lot better. So, I hired Top Down, and I was not disappointed. Mike did a fantastic job. He was very professional, polite, and he worked really hard. There were two things that impressed me most. First, he always showed up exactly when he said he would. He came out four different times over the three days, and every time he showed up exactly at the time he promised. The other thing that impressed me was how careful he was. Obviously, correcting my problem required some destruction in order to expose the wet areas. He needed to remove some carpet upstairs and open the ceiling downstairs. That was fine and expected. The impressive thing was how careful he was to minimize the impact. He was like a surgeon, carefully making the minimum possible incision. Clearly, he cared about my house, and wanted to do what was best for me, even if it took a little longer. After 3 days, everything was dry. He cleaned everything up, and removed his equipment. Overall, he did a fantastic job. In hindsight, I can't think of anything I wish he had done differently. Sure, it was a real bummer that my house flooded, but hiring Top Down was the best thing I could have done, given the circumstances. I would not hesitate to hire them again if I ever run into this sort of problem in the future. read more

Has to be one of the fastest service providers I have ever dealt with. The pipe on our water heater burst, I called the plumber and they referred me to these guys. Sean came to our place super quick, asses the damage and set up a game plan on how to get everything dried up. He laid out the machines to dry, set up containment and started removing the dry walls after checking for the moisture level. Over the next few days, he'd come back and he would arrive at the time he said he would arrive. He'd make sure that the moisture level is under 20, and left the machines one extra day to ensure that is the case. I am impressed by the level of professionalism that Sean and Bo exhibited, they also helped us clean up our own stuff that got wet. It's bittersweet, we hope to never see them again :) but if I do need a restoration service, they are on my speed dial. PS: during the cleanup of our personal stuff, we found a portable washing machine usually used for baby stuff, well that's our baby shower gift to you Rex :) read more

Our water heater caused floor damage in our mobile home and our plumber recommended Top Down Restoration, who came out immediately on a Sat. and set up drying equipment. Jose Garcia from this company was absolutely amazing. What a hard worker! You can tell he absolutely knows exactly what he's doing. He worked with my plumber to remove and situate the water heater on the porch so we'd still have hot water, and then he hooked up dryers under the house and in the laundry room to dry the affected areas, came back daily to check on drying progress, conversed with my insurance company, kept me in the loop, and removed the equipment and rehooked up my clothes dryer when the floors had dried. Besides the excellent service they provided with the restoration, Rex and team went out their way and assisted me to ensure the repair work gets done completely, to what remaining budget I have and to my satisfaction, that my home insurance failed to provide me. I made a mistake doing business with a big insurance company. I assumed that with an established insurance brand they will treat customers with high regards (lesson learned). Unfortunately, I was just a claim # to them. And worse are the lack of response and value they provided me as a customer. In short, I didn't get the proper service nor the full amount to cover all my repair costs. Last Friday, a plumber came to my house to repair a pipe. When he looked under the house, there was a ton of water. He said I would need to call a restoration company. Once here they photo'd and video'd the problem and provided clear communication as to what work needed to be done. Reasonable price provided and got to work right away. We had a major water leak in the crawl space of our house that needed remediation. We actually hired a different company at first, but they worked for half a day and said that they couldn't handle everything that needed to be done. I called TDR (Rex) at 4:00 PM and he had people out to look at it that night! Sean did the evaluation and became our point person. He gave us a quote on the spot, and we had them start ASAP. Adam and Pablo did an excellent job in the initial round of remediation and Sean followed up with two more rounds -- making sure everything had been done and done right. Obviously it's not an ideal situation when you need to reach Rex and his team, BUT I couldn't imagine the services being any better. Another contractor put me in contact with H2O and they were super responsive. They made sure my place was habitable and the work done right the first time. They even assisted in aspects that were above and beyond what was expected. My HOA dragged their feet but Rex made sure progress kept moving forward and that my home would look better then before the damage occurred.
