Rex and Bo are wonderful. I came home on a Thursday late afternoon to find our bathroom flooded from the condo upstairs. Bo showed up within 30 minutes to do an assessment. He was also very helpful in explaining how the insurance and billing process worked. The next morning, Bo and Rex showed up to start the drying process. Our main sewer line had a backup that caused flooding in our bathroom and sewage to leak underneath our house. I called Rex in a panic, and he was very responsive and sent 2 of his guys out that day to assess the damages. When they came in, they explained their process thoroughly to my husband and I, and they kept us updated at every step. They made sure there was no mold in the walls and ensured that all of the damaged wall was completely dry before helping us schedule a carpenter to replace the insulation and dry wall. TopDownRestoration sent Pablo to inspect this peculiar leak seeping outside my house, second floor. I suppose I judged the fellow unfairly - seeming as he looked young, unseasoned to assess the problem nor fix it properly. Boy was I slapped in the face and kicked in the keister! Right away Pablo observed the leak, began forming ideas - out loud where it could be originating from within the kitchen, trailing where the leak may have caused the water damage, the possible range of the water damage, etc. Impressed doesn't justify how flabbergasted i was! This leak gave me stress for some time as this is my first major house issue. I say major because I didnt know what part of my home insurance would say covered this, if there were other entities to call fix this and such. Pablo has been in the field for a hot minute. He named the policy under my insurance that would help with cost, and referred me to a plumber as topdown didnt handle that. So Pablo was guiding me at this point! Lastly, I was worried what atrocious mess may come to be should drywall be cut all over. Using tools and gadgetry, he was able to precisely locate water damage and confidently expose the musky water damage within the walls. They gave us an estimate, and after we agreed upon said estimate, (which was absolutely fair) Rex left and came back with a crew and machines ready to work. When we had a water leak around the skylight in the bathroom we called Rex, and his team was out right away to start the process of drying out the sheetrock to prevent farther damage. As a new homeowner, everything scares me. Sat night I had some flooding in my bathroom and Local Rooter and Plumber recommended I contact Top Down Restoration to help assess and deal with any damage to my walls. There was some scheduling issues sat night, but I can't really blame them, we were dealing with this around 1 AM. Sunday morning the owner contacted me directly apologizing for the scheduling and then had someone out first thing Sunday to review the damage. Mike showed me where the damage was, explained to me the process to restore the damage and as he was leaving, he mentioned I should talk to my neighbors because he thinks the water came from their unit (I live in a condo complex). Sure enough, I called my neighbor and they confirmed that there was an accident on their end, it had been left unattended for many hours, and sadly after their bathroom was flooded, started to seep under the floors into my unit. I explained the restoration needed and the fee, and they wrote me a check within minutes. Had Mike not told me to contact my neighbors, I would have NEVER known how my bathroom got flooded. After getting everything set up, Mike showed me how to turn off the machines at night (theyre super loud) and told me he would be out here daily to check if the moisture levels were dropping. He was super easy to coordinate with (I WFH so my calendar is all over the place every day), we would text to confirm a time and after 3 days, the technician let me know that levels were back to normal and he pulled everything out within 5 minutes. I hope that I won't have the need again for emergency restoration, but if I do, these are the guys I'm calling. They helped turn my first home owner emergency into a thing of the past. Thank you Top Down, for cleaning our crawl space. Due to a water leak, our entire crawl space was soaked. They came in gave my husband a quote, explained the process, came in and did the work. No money upfront was necessary. I appreciated how they covered my walls and their hoses so not to ruin my interior. Our upstairs bathtub overflowed and I was alerted by two overly excited kids as they gazed at the waterfall streaming from my downstairs bathroom's ceiling fan while I put the second batch of Easter cupcakes in the oven. My husband and I ran upstairs to discover that I had absent mindedly left the faucet running after pouring in a little bleach to clean the tub and juggling prepping for Easter dinner. We were doing a deep clean and I felt like Supermom for multi tasking so well all morning. No amount of towels, sheets, fluffy cats or panicking wives could soak this up. Did I mention I'm a renter? I looked at the estimate and almost cried because I just lost my job and my husband and I just paid rent and arent sure what the next couple weeks is going to look like for us. We had a sewage problem that extended beneath the house. Before any plumbing work could get done this had to get cleaned up and sanitized. We called Pablo at Top Down Restoration. He came out early the next day and with a helper Daniel got the whole mess cleaned up in about an hour and a half. They knew what they had to do, explained it to us and then went about shoveling out the affected soil, sanitizing and replacing what they took out with another material. I took a few days before I decided to write this post: In my opinion, Rex's statement on Yelp is not accurate: "I am very comfortable with yelp because I work to please my customers needs and go beyond expectations." I am one customer that is not pleased and did not have my expectations met - and this is why. Sept 13th, Mike came to my home found a leak under my house, I called a plumber who was going to come out Sept 16th. Mike said that he would talk to his boss to try and get the number down due to everything that I had been through with a previous contractor. He said he would be back on Monday to meet with the plumber & give an estimate at that time; I also asked him to send the video & pictures he took and send them to me via email and he said that he would. Mike never followed through on sending the pictures. Sept 16th - plumber shows up and NO Mike. Called the number on his business card (Jose's phone number), left a message NO return call. Called the office manager, Krystal, left a message she did call back - I told her that Mike had found damage and that he was going to send an estimate, she said that she would follow up with him & asked for my email address which I text to her; Mike had it as well. No estimate provided by either one of them. Called the "office" on Sept 19th, left a message asking for a call back on the status of the estimate, NO response. Sent an email to address provided on Mike's business card, appears to be Rex's, asked for the pictures that Mike took so I could provide to my insurance company; emailed twice (9/24 & 9/26) no response. Posted a question on Yelp on 9/27- is there anyone there during the day to answer the phone? Jose replied with a yes, "leave a message, we will return the call in an hour", replied to that message directly to Jose; "left a message a week ago still NO return call so this is not true." NO further response from Jose but my comment removed. I don't know about anyone else, but, this is not what I call good customer service or meeting a customer's needs - this is more along the lines of your business is not important to us. read more

I recently discovered that I had a corroded and cracked pipe underneath my house which had been leaking for over a year. The smell is what we first noticed, it was rotten, and overpowering at times. Our house is over 60 years old and unfortunately, these kinds of issues are not uncommon with aged galvanized plumbing. One thing you don't want to see when you come downstairs in the morning is a waterfall from the ceiling. That is just what I found. A pipe had burst in our upstairs bathroom. The family room and kitchen area were flooded. We were able to get a plumber to fix the leak that morning, but the water had created quite a mess. The plumber suggested Top Down Restoration, who he had worked with before. He called and within 30 minutes Jose from Top Down showed up to assess the damage. Jose jumped right in and quickly put my mind at ease and let me know that Top Down Restoration could take care of my problem and I needn't worry. Jose went about the job very professionally, taking readings where water was present and measuring the affected areas. Jose explained the mitigation process of cleaning and drying the areas so no mold would result. He provided an estimate of the work needed and said it would take 3-5 days. Jose marked the areas and began setting up equipment. Jose was there everyday making sure the work progressed as planned and provided me a status every step of the way.
