This is a pretty decent spot for teriyaki bowls. We got Beef Bowls, one with veggie and white rice, the other with brown rice. The portion is filling and it comes with extra sauce on the side. The teriyaki sauce was overly sweet so I decided to add some sriracha even though I wasn't really in the mood for spicy at the time, but I just couldn't stand how overly sweet it was. Portions seem generous. Is it really? Not at all. That's my biggest complaint. It looks like a lot of food. I guess technically it is. But it's just a lot of rice. A LOT OF RICE. there's a very thin layer of your protein of choice over the MOUNTAIN of rice they give you. It's very deceiving. But will they give you enough to fill you up? I guess if you're a normal person. I have a pretty big appetite and I was still hungry after I finished my plate. One plate is definitely enough for two kids who eat very little. Only reason we would go back is due to convenience and the price is sort of good enough I guess. It's nearby. It's not too expensive. It's easier than going elsewhere. My first time eating here so i wanted to try this place out. First plate i got the Chicken Steak Plate. I was little dissapointed they gave me brown rice instead of white rice what i asked. The steak was really good. Not a fan of the chicken. Chicken was too dry. I wish they added a little dressing on the salad. Now the Shrimp Plate Ohhh Emm Gee! So so good. Great portion of shrimp. They gave me white rice so im happy haha. For now i gotta say the shrimp plate is my favorite. Their Thai Tea Boba is really good. Not too sweet which i love. Not sure what people were thinking about with the decent reviews? First of all, there was NO AC, so it's like 90 degrees inside which is unacceptable for an already overpriced place. Rice, salad were decent, shrimp okay, chicken was awful and we had to spit out every other hard, boney, fatty bite. This restaurant is under new management. The previous cooks were on point with the steaks here. The new cook that's there doesn't season the steak and over cooks them. My steak in my bowl was really tough, dry and had no flavor. I usually come to this location frequently but now this will be the last time. I am gonna have to find another one with better cooks. Went for the first time today, decided to try it because I was in the area and I did a general search on yelp at a glance it had a 4.4 rating the the pictures looked good, I did not read the reviews however. I'm going to list the positives first. I was greeted immediately upon walking in, the person at the counter was helpful and answered my questions. I was able to order right away. The dining area appeared clean and there was plenty of tables to sit.The portions were decent. You get a side of salad with cucumber, and a side of orange with a few grapes. The amount of rice was proportionate to the serving of meat which was good. You get one side of sauce to top off your chicken. Now the not so good. For one the place was empty at 3 pm which is a bad sign based on the ratings which I noted as I waited. The rice was dry not sure if it was on purpose. The chicken had no flavor outside the teriyaki sauce it was dressed with. Some of the pieces were tough and chewy. The salad mix was on its last leg, or it appeared so possibly because of the dressing as I did not eat it until 20 minutes later. The cucumber which I was excited to see had definitely gone bad it was bitter and the middle area with the seeds was mushy. The grape tomatoes were mushy as well. A few of the pieces of chicken tasted like they been in contact with shrimp? not sure if that was the case. Honestly if the salad mix had been fresh it would have been good, maybe leave the dressing on the side for take out orders. I ordered 1 tea and I had zero complaints there. This used to be my go to spot but now I'll have to find a new one. When we walked in, we weren't greeted and the restaurant was so hot almost like a sauna. The person who took our order didn't even say anything to us, he just stared at us blankly. He never said a word actually. He just pointed to the screen when it came time to pay. The food is definitely not the same. The rice is dry and they give you a ton of it. When the food was ready another employee gave it to us and he was pleasant. The food isn't the same as before. Update from my original review. The food is good, so good you want to go back and eat it. But over the last few months every time I've wanted to go here they are closed. Closed for a couple weeks for spring break, closed on random days, closed early, etc. we've tried to go maybe 4 times over the last couple months and haven't been able to get it since they've been closed. Due to them not being open I've tried another teriyaki place near that is also very good, Formosa Teriyaki. So if you run into the same issue, go give Formosa a try. read more
