I was so excited but super nervous for a new viet place to open because pho has to be just right and if it's not, hoisin and sriracha can't save everything. I've since been here twice and wow, I'm in love and so happy there's a pho place so close to where I live! Most important, the broth is good. Not the best I ever had, but for long island where the choices are limited, they far outweigh the other options. On top of that, this thing is loaded. All the meats, tendons, and a good portion of noodles. This full combo of good broth and a good portion is basically nonexistent in long island. To top it all off, you can't beat the price. $15 barely gets you a decent meal nowadays, but you'll leave full and satisfied here. We also had the beef cubes over rice and the summer rolls. Summer rolls were typical and the beef cubes were decent. Good flavor, semi tender, but an average - small portion. I more than likely will only come back for the pho, but that's all I ever want. The food was a mixing and delicious. I had some of the famous spring rolls and they were ok but when I had the pork chop it was amazing. I thought this dish should be on top. I don't know what happened to this place. Whether it be new management or if it was because I ordered 30mins before they closed. But what I got tonight was absolutely disgusting and inedible. I ordered the number 27 (vermicelli with grilled chicken and spring roll) and shrimp summer roll. The vermicelli was drenched in this bitter soy sauce, not too sure what it was. The spring rolls were burnt and not tasty at all. The chicken tasted old. As for the summer rolls, what a joke. They didn't even offer the peanut sauce. What I got was this bitter vinegary thick sauce like concoction. I literally threw away almost all of the food. I don't mind paying for the overpriced dishes, but can you at least make it edible? authentic at the very least?? I'm so disappointed. I have been coming to this strip mall almost every week for groceries shopping but never tried this place because of some mixed reviews from friends. Today was my first visit and it proved that this is not my typical expected Vietnamese restaurant at all! I ordered the vermicelli with shredded pork and spring rolls. I checked with the waitress to assure that the pork is grilled and she said yes. When my order arrived, there were no spring rolls on the top and she said I ordered the one w/o it. So I asked her to make me one as a side because I was very disappointed with the way they prepared for a typical bowl of Vietnamese Bun. First of all, the pork was shredded and stir fried with some sweet soy sauce, it was never grilled and the sauce was all soaked into the vermicelli that I can't even put the fish sauce over because it would be too sweet or too heavy! Secondly, the vermicelli they used was so chewy that it was more appropriate to use for soup noodles (they didn't use the real Vietnamese vermicelli). Finally the spring roll arrived and it was a little over cooked but tastes ok. Overall, the service is attentive and the seating is comfortable. If you are looking for an authentic Vietnamese food, this is not a place. read more

This is a huge complaint of mine for these spring rolls. Also, pricey. Enough lettuce pieces, not enough flavorless sauce. I have fish sauce at home so I was able to jazz it up. 2. Summer rolls - completely stuck to the container so fell apart when you picked them up. Flavorless and had to eat it with a fork. Sauce also flavorless. 3. #14 rice noodle with fresh beef slices and brisket. It came with NO BEANSPROUTS OR LIME OR BASIL. Like do you even know what comes with pho?? The broth was clear but incredibly bland. I assumed fresh beef slices meant raw but I was mistaken. 4. Beef brisket with lemongrass over rice + 2 eggs - this is not a Vietnamese dish. I don't know if they were trying to masquerade this Chinese-esque dish as Vietnamese but it's pretty Chinese. (I'm Chinese) there's a soy sauce/oyster sauce on the rice. I had a humiliating experience at this establishment. I ordered online with Yelp, and usually I have no problems. Here seems to be the exception. After I was informed that my order was ready, I went inside to pick it up. The cashier, who asked for my order, checked and double checked my receipt against the order that ALREADY had my name on it. She refused to give me my food until she checked my order item by item and verified with my phone several times, and only after allowed me to have what I ordered. The curry chicken and pork chop was very flavorful. Also very generous with the pho noodles. The Thai tea was also good. The ok.... the pho broth wasn't that flavorful. The meatballs are the tendon meatballs (chewy) not the other meatball. It didn't bother me but my son didn't like it. The fried spring rolls weren't that flavorful as well and inside a little soggy. They did not give any cilantro and enough lettuce to wrap. I'm sure if we ask for more lettuce they would have provided. The downer.... no traditional Vietnamese Bánh mì sandwich. We were so excited for a pho place in our neighborhood. And we started going to the place since the day they opened. But what we've noticed recently is that they are slowly shrinking their portions. While you still get enough for pho noodles , we got only half a glass of coffee when we ordered ice coffee the other day. The beef cubes were unevenly cut and not against the grain and different sizes (see picture) so there were pieces that were slightly tender and pieces that were very chewy. Just visited yesterday for dinner with my boyfriend because we saw it's a new place that just recently opened by us. The inside is pretty the way the decor looked. We ordered bahn Mi (2 sandwiches) those were very flavorful and delicious. Both were pork. We also got our own pho soup bowls. My boyfriend got the Combo Pho and I got the Rice Noodle Soup With Brisket Flank Steak. My boyfriend very much enjoyed his soup but I however wasn't a huge fan. Unfortunately the brisket in my soup was all fatty and chewy and couldn't even eat it because it was mostly all fat and didn't have much flavor at all. To be honest, my soup tasted a whole lot better when I took all the fatty brisket out. It's a shame because brisket is delicious but it was all extremely fatty and chewy. I wouldn't get that soup again. I also did get a passion fruit boba tea and I will say, that was very refreshing and I would definitely get it again! Botttom Pho is a better name. Gave them a second chance. Not great. Pork chops are gristle chops. The spring rolls are good. Both occasions we had their food we ordered take out. None of the food has any favor at all. The pho soup is tasteless. The two good thing here is the service and the potion size. Otherwise I would give it a 2 stars. They also didn't give bean sprouts, lime and basil with the Pho. My wife had coffee and it was water down. I even think they use french roast coffee.
