Since then, my grandbaby and I have made a little tradition of ordering treats through DoorDash every now and then -- just because. Today happened to be one of those days when I felt like having something sweet. Here's what I ordered: * Strawberry Croffle - $9.50 * Blueberry Cake Donut - $3.00 * Bacon, Egg & Cheese Croissant Sandwich - $12.50 I honestly don't know what my grandbaby ordered this time -- that's part of the fun when we do our little treat deliveries. The first thing I ate was the bacon, egg, and cheese croissant sandwich, and let me tell you... it was amazing. Warm, buttery, and satisfying. I was wiping my hands between bites and licking my fingers -- it was that good. Later, while I was working on one of my blog posts, I enjoyed the blueberry cake donut, which made for a perfect afternoon treat. Then later in the evening, while relaxing and listening to an audiobook, I saved the best for last -- the Strawberry Croffle. A croffle (croissant waffle) topped with fluffy cream, sliced strawberries, and powdered sugar. Sweet, soft, and absolutely delicious. I believe strongly in supporting small neighborhood businesses, especially the ones that bring a smile to both my face and my taste buds -- and Fluffy Donuts definitely does that. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the White Center area, or ordering through DoorDash if you want a sweet treat delivered to your door. We both thought our drinks were next level and we drink a lot of coffee. We had 3 pastries between us and they were all soo good especially the blackberry scone and the mixed berry galette. The staff were all very affable and efficient - the store was very busy being a Saturday morning, but we went through the whole process in under 10 minutes. We checked out the little back courtyard patio area and just soaked up the cozy neighborhood vibe. There was an amazing little gallery next door that I wanted to check out but we had to hit the road and couldn't wait till it opened. Ultimately, the assembly line model helped the line move quickly, allowed for more personable interactions, and the coffee beans that they use was so delicious that I'm ordering some for delivery when I get home. The croissant was interesting since it used cheddar cheese rather than Swiss and the coconut cloud was just okay. The best pastry that we shared was the kouign amann. Every bread based item its so buttery, tasty, and has an amazing texture. I think you can order anything on their menu at any time of the day. 1 menu is for the donuts, another for the restaraunt Korean food, another for their sandwiches, 1 menu for their drink, and 1 menu that has all the favorites from each of the other menus with a few other items not found in the others. Can kind of be a lot to take in, but id rather it be than not be. I think I keep coming back because its such a good deal and its actually pretty good. They also had cherry pie samples and I mean who am I to pass on that even if it's 830 am. Both were very good. After my meeting one of my colleagues wanted to go grab a coffee and lunch so we went back. When he tried to order another coffee the staff member remembered him and asked wasn't he just here this am? He laughed and said yes and she said oh you get a free refill you don't need to pay for another. He tried to decline since he didn't have his cup anymore AND it had been a few hours but she insisted. I would've gotten her name but she was already embarrassed when I went to thank her and tell her how amazing that was. We ended up tipping them instead.
