I pull into the Smithtown Mavis Discount Tire and spoke with Steve. He was cool, he had one of the mechanics immediately look at my car. They call me over and said, whoever installed the pads didn't grease them which scored the front rotors. Son of a beeswax! Not to worry, we'll get it straight. Now, I grab the manager. I tell him, you're charging me for labor for something that wasn't my fault. This is where the five yelp stars comes in. He was a true professional and simply said, I understand. From the start with not having your paperwork in the system to the ruined rotors, its been a bad Mavis experience. I know you have 6 cars, I want to be your Mavis shop for all your cars. I will take off the labor for the part that wasn't your fault. To me, that seems fair. I can't spell the guys name but from the mechanic who worked on my car to Steve behind the desk, this shop may be where I'll come more often. 5 stars from me today. The staff got me in and out quickly and everyone seems professional.

By "decent" I meant, someone who will provide fair prices (yes, I did my research and I know how much a car battery including labor cost) and good customer service (friendly, efficient, patient and knows what they are doing). After many service center phone calls of outrageous prices and poor customer services, luck was on my side and brought me to this place. Nick assisted me throughout this process and provided me a fair quote. He and his team were quick to replace the battery during a busy holiday week (less than 1 hour) and provided a call when they were finished. I would recommend anyone who is around this area to give this a service center a try first. My sister and I aligned that this will be our go-to mechanic if any issue are to arise during her time in college. Why be cheap with an expensive car? Because it's expensive. So I thought going here would be a great alternative to my European shop......well holy F was I wrong. After thousands of dollars in repairs I live in constant regret I even considering stopping here. What happen? I brought my car here. Got wheel spacers put on with extended lug nuts. They over torqued my lugs down. All my lug nuts broke inside my rims. Some lugs were completely stripped. Unless you have a blow out do not come here for upgrades. Nothing good will come from this place. Be warned if you have a luxury car that you bring here for a repairs. They will over torque your bolts
